[REQ] Samsung Hercules SGH T989 forum

Time to start a new forum for the Samsung Hercules.

Already pre-ordered. Now we need a forum to spread rumors and beg for developers until release.

The Release date is 9-25-11 so unless they change their mind having a forum now is way to early Maybe end of August........ I want it now like today......... but until we know for sure.............. too early for a forum on the Hercules

That release date blows. Where did you get that information? I haven't been able to find anything.
And yes my post is jumping the gun a little. Just needed somewhere we could start drooling without bugging everyone in the Galaxy S2 forums.

Wicked phone! I want one asap!

Ran over to AT&T to check out the Infuse and it's Supoer Amoled+ 4.5" screen. Looks pretty good. Typical AA issue with text when zoomed waaay out on a web site... but that could easily be fixed with root and lcd density change. Colors were amazing. Made my HD2 look horribly bland and washed out.
Love EVERYTHING about this phone (assuming specs correct) except the 800x480. Once again... lcd density. Will definitely spec out the Sensation to see how qHD looks but I don't like other things about it.

They show 1.5Ghz Qualcomm APQ8060 dual-core CPU there. Interesting.
This is why I semi joked about needing a dedicated forum.... so we can gossip. But I agree it's a little early.

We need a forum for the hercules. Telus is getting a renamed version of it soon (its up on the website now), my next phone for sure.

really? cause this is the first confirmation i've seen (i.e. not 'a call center rep/store salesman told me...').
and while it's assumed we'll eventually get it, i came from the vibrant, which was replaced by the sgs4g and didn't ever get official gb (the near identical sgs4g did, though).

good news for tmobil t989 users
our carrier is slow, broke, and has already publicly promised to build wifi calling into their roms to suppliment low network coverage.... this can only mean a longer wait for ics.
if the skyrocket gets ics, hercules users will also have it.

you guys are all asses lol, sure we all know it will come eventually, but when they first dropped the phone they said q1 of 2012. (which it hasnt)

International s2 got ICS.
They never said the Hercules would get it on any particular date only that it is coming eventually

and yeah i think people are just butt hurt right now that t989 doesn't have ICS yet, i mean this is the general section we should be able to voice out

I think it's embarrassing cyanogen released a special statement just for t989 users because they got bombarded with angry "y u no make 7.2 for 989?!"
Too many impatient people, makes the rest of us annoyed

I swear you posted this before. It is also based on inference. They never said they released a statement for that reason but I would hate to let trying to base your piss and moaning on facts get in the way of complaining.

Since word seems to have spread: Regarding the T-Mobile Galaxy S2 (T-989). Yes, I have one and yes, I will be trying to get a stable CM9 build running on it."
I'm thinking they would only post that if they didn't get dozens of people nagging and flaming either the developer donating his time to work on it or the general cyanogen account. Deductive reasoning.

So after I ordered a Google Nexus 4 (say thanks to broadcom), i would say good bye community and let my Galaxy Y as my second mobile. The reason is, that broadcom is like Valve Software (they need years to release something) and let the devs to waiting angry.
But I'll check the situration of the GY community developement (and no, I doesn't will sell my GY)
So I'll say, Good Bye

Broadcom is very disrespectful company. Honestly if i had the capability i will purchase a mainstream android device especially for development like a Nexus or a S2 or something but still i love to keep my first smartphone..
