Sure, it has the right time, etc. But, it certainly doesn't know WHERE Eastern Time is.
Is it like this for anyone else?

how do you get it to show 'eastern time' like that? i'll try it now if you let me know how.. all i get is option to type/pick a city
I have mine to set Time Zone automatically by my network.
It won't even let me enter another city. When I try to search for one, I get nothing. (shrug). No big deal. Was just wondering if anyone else had any problems with it.
that is pretty weird, mines set to auto. i unticked it, set the time zone to eastern time, but still isn't changing from where i actually am.
you probably gathered, but mine doesn't do this, seems to work ok.. sorry i couldn't help.
Seems no matter WHAT time zone I set, it still shows the marker right off the coast of Africa. Odd indeed.
Ahhh ok.. Tried clearing data etc for clock app?

Yup. I mean it's not really hurting anything. It's just weird.

Anyone with the Evo can verify if it has a lanyard loop? Thanks in advance!
Reason I'm asking they have wii lanyards for cheap on ebay. That added protection of sliding it tight on my wrist is good!
hmmmmmmm........ really? No response yet? I'm suprised
I read in another forum that the Evo does NOT have a lanyard loop. I do not have an Evo yet so I can't confirm.
Just checked mine and it doesn't have one.

That just speaks FAIL!
Checked mine. No lanyard loop. Maybe there will be hope in a future custom case.

yeah wouldn't trust that at all. they don''t seem to want to make htc phones with lanyard loops no more. windows did, but most androids no. there's nothing like having my phone safely around my wrist. The wii lanyards now have a nice lock like mechanism on it, and that would be perfect to keep phone secure why none?
I guess it's just not a feature that's in high demand. Oh well, some things, like infrared, just aren't a part of the modern smartphone anymore.

IS there any change someone could develop a way to force the EVO to roam? I know there are quite a few people over at Android Central that have asked about it. Force roam is one of the two things I miss from my Pre, because I do a lot of traveling, and sometimes I'm caught in between Sprint and roaming and just bounce back and forth between 0 & 1 bar.
Thanks
Try this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=696073
I've seen that. Is it the only option? I was hoping someone with more knowledge then me would be able to make a simple app or widget with a switch. Is there just no option for that, or just a lack of interest?
Thanks for the reply

Done, thanks. I guess I have to stick with the posted method for now. It amazes me that someone can't make a simple little toggle widget.
Try this
http://androidforums.com/tips-trick...rce-roaming-triangle-without.html#post1297971
once someone figures out how to get back to the ##775# screen. It was the only PRL I could find that actually showed the Triangle but since Froyo disabled ##775# its back to sqare one...
Update: CyanogenMod 6 RC1 and Nightlies has forced roaming capability:

Tested and working.
I got the normal S i9000 (quite confused with all those different ones lol)
I tryed the fix posted on the vibrant page, but it only made mine worse. Keep in mind it actually was decent before, google nav worked ok, but sometimes jumped around.
Also didnt get more aqurate then 80 feet in the test app.
Now, i tryed following this guide isntead:
http://androidforums.com/samsung-captivate/128026-everyone-who-having-gps-problems.html
Now i get down to 16 feet, and locks on quick. It also seems ALOT more stable on the signal.
interesting skyhook is off? on that setup, wow
With skyhook on, it is very fast at my mobile..
Where do you come from? Maybe it has sth todo with the country where you live..
I am in Austria..
This DOESN'T have skyhook turned off. Why don't people read a bit more carefully instead of starting a new thread for no reason?
The only thing this guy does it turn the supl settings to autoconfig, and also have skyhook on.
The settings he lists are the default settings, that's why you see skyhook off.
This method has been posted many times before, and for most people it does nothing.
Yep skyhook is on. Well just wanted to post it

No thorough testing yet. I just went outside my house and GPS works almost instantly. I used to get 8 satellites in view but now I have 11. I'm surprised.
I'll go for a drive tomorrow.
One more screenshot
What are you using to keep the screen on during some aps. I have tried a few but haven't had much luck.
Hope others have had success
If charging, you could always enable the option (I think under Developer Options) to keep screen on during charging. Otherwise, you can also adjust screen timeout to something really high or Never.
I use Caffeine
I'm quite satisfied with KeepScreen
I tried IntelliScreen but it can do more than I actually need and so found it a bit too complex
If you already own Tasker, use it to do it.

Do you have a "script?" for tasker?
Have you tried Screebl?
Works perfectly for my tablet, has lots of settings you can play with if you need, but haven't need to at all myself though. try it out! Free version before v

No need, create a Profile for a context when said app is running, make the Task change the Screen On time. Nothing complicated.

Try Notification Toggle. There's a toggle for this and many more, so you don't have to use for every setting a separate app.

Hey there everyone,
I have snooping wife issues.
I need to know if there is anyway I can see if my wife has opened my phone. It's Samsung A70 running Android 10.
Are there any logs that show what time my phone was opened.
She probably knows my password.
Just wanted to know.
Thanks.
Help and cool comments are highly appreciated please.

Lol. Root cause analysis provided to prevent future failures...
This is what I did.
I found out my "sleep timings" from Samsung Health located in setup and noted my sleep time from there.
Then I collated it with "Samsung Digital Well-being" to see if any of the messaging app was operated while I was sleeping.
It was not.
So I'm going to change the login pin and password.
Let the kids grow.
I'll be living alone when they move out.
Maybe try using the goodlock module "nice catch" by samsung, it stores data about notifications by apps and sudden wakeup of phone.
If goodlock is not available in your country try other alternatives like nicelock from playstore or any other app that provides same functionality.
