Off topic: Lets keep the trolling and arguing to a minimum..this is a GREAT PHONE!

Alot of us came from the Evo 3d forum where there was nothing but trolling, huge arguments and dev fights. Id like for us to keep this forum clean, or at least try to..as this is a really great device. If anyone is with me then please clap your hands!!

Agreed.
Though already the first thing I noticed was how nice and civil people were...and even when there was a hint of people getting confrontational everyone has been polite and apologetic. We are, after all, here for the same reason.
The way the E3D forum went down was a breeding ground for, well, exactly what it became. The forum was opened a month and a half before the device released. Add in the unlock debacle. Even worse was the fact that after HTC backed down on locking it made it seem like being rude and trolly and confrontation worked...and that was infused with the massive numbers of Hero owners coming off of contract and a massive number of us yearly upgraders getting ready for the EVO4Gs successor. Sprinkle on top the unlocking debacle and drama surrounding AlphaRevX and TeamWIN that had nothing to do with AlphaRevX or TeamWIN...for a while. Then the fact that the Sensation was a nearly identical device with not identical development and seemed like extra dev attention--regardless of the fact that everything went back and forth very quickly, that bread epic ****-tons of butthurt amongst the massive amounts of people who were already pissed on, pissed off, angry and ready to fight before the phone was even released and, well, it isn't surprising. It was sad.
I gotta say I love all you guys already.

It will be pretty hard to keep evo3d owners who know they have a lesser phone from coming here and saying how much the phone sucks etc etc because they made the mistake of getting one.But we can try.

I was there watching as well, swapped the 3vo for the SGS2, couldnt be happier with my choice!
As for a google huddle, i used to use it a lot with my atrix i had. it was a busy huddle. It was nice if you couldnt get on xda to follow all the rom discussions and what not.

Go to menu, settings, display, screen display and then lock screen wallpaper. Took me a while to figure out as well.
Coming from evo 3d as well. So happy with my decision so far. Hope to get to know you dudes better.

looking at your home made Jig... I got a USB Jig on eBay for $3 and not only did it reset the counter but it cleared up the boot screen problem too. Always love reading how to make/do it yourself though.

Wow my grammar sucked in that post. I can't even blame that one on being ESL. Lol. I meant I see much more. Haha.
Once I've gotten the hang of the intricacies of flashing on a Samsung device and the whole emmc lockup issue I'll start getting to work on some developing. Gotta see how different a Sammy device is from an HTC one. Also just finished up my first year of college so summer has officially started now.
Should be fun times here! Much more friendly from what I've seen compared the highly volatile and dangerous minefield known as the 3D forums lately. Boy has it gotten bad. Many devs have left xda too. Crazy stuff man.

So the part I am confused on is why did you have a webcam on your roof?
I once had a family of squirrels move into my attic, which can be a big problem especially if they chew on the wiring. I ended up live trapping them and "relocating" them about 5 miles away on the opposite side of a busy highway. I tell you about the 5 miles, not because you care, although I am sure you must. No, you should always move squirrels as far away as you can, because the first time I trapped them and moved them down the street to a nice little park, the dang things returned within a few days.
I am no longer such a humane person and have invested in a nice pellet gun, which is actually an excellent deterrent to carpet-bagging rodents.
I am now, however, going to try webcams on the roof to see how that might work. Thanks for the advice...these forums are not only informational, but pretty dang friendly.

Once I hit a squirrel with my bike. It was scary because it keep moving even after i had killed it. It must have been his brain connecting to the rest of his body. The worst part was all of the blood on my wheel afterwards. I still visit the spot where i killed it. Hopefully one day I will see him in heaven. RIP.

That squirrel is really angry.

I once had a squirrel as a friend/pet. It all started one day when I was sitting in front of my house on the door steps. I was just relaxing enjoying the view while eating some Boston baked beans. This squirrel just happen to run by and me being silly I started making noises like the ones they do when fighting. It happened to stop, so I started throwing some of my Boston baked beans at him (which he loved by the way). Ever since then the squirrel was part of the fam and would even try to come in the house. My mom used to get freaked out and yell shoo at the poor lil guy

Already threads on the matter otherwise I wouldn't know damn thing about the trucks and stuff lol. I doubt it, but wish it did happen. Bullies will bullies but the smart ones always prevail. Nobody is going to pay anything to anybody if there is a way to appeal the decision...and Samsung is appealing this one. Why do people pass around this mindless garbage without the tiniest bit of due diligence? Facebook has created generations of morons..or at least exposed them.

How do we make a complaint to mods.

I was wondering if the is a way to report a user to the mods for harsh and abrasive responses which seem for the sole purpose of belittling and insulting xda users. There is a user that seems to do only that and not help the person posing the question. It is starting to get ridiculous. I thought xda did not condone this behavior.

You guys know that we can't action anything that we don't know about, right?
OP, in the other thread you mentioned that you lost faith in XDA and the Mods, well we can't fix what we don't know is broke. How about 1 report versus 10 flaming posts? There are 5 of us who handle all the SGS3 variants, so our response time is very quick. If the user has broken rules, then action will be taken. If not, most likely we will post in the thread to throttle it back or plainly to just quit it.
Maybe everyone should look in my signature at the link to needing a Mod and how the report button works.
Example would be the random question in the Dev section. Instead of 15 posts about "wrong section", why not report it with the "Thread moving/maintenance" dropdown.
