Its the same version I've flashed from my device. I've booted it on my device, because I wouldn't post something that wouldn't boot.

boots perfectly for me...I love the bootanimation...ripped that straight out for my ics rom lol

No Problem, but Thank anyone else but me though, I've just been copy and pasting, and editing files off and on, I haven't done much.

Yeah love the boot animation too! This is soo smooth and fast. I could imagine what this will do for future roms. I can't wait to have a stable release of this! I'm shocked with project butter! It's ****ing amazing!

I thought i have data fixed at one moment. i was about to flash the port and afetr i wiped factory reset i clicked reboot instead of Main Menu (TWRP) and i didnt see the boot animation because i was away but when i came back i saw the startup menu and 3g icon on and I was rejoicing then i finished setup and saw my mistake. It made me sad

I know how you feel. Its going to take time.
Also, have you touched the Sprint Galaxy Nexus Port? I was thinking that may hold more helpful for us in getting some of the update stuff for CDMA

Seems like the only real issue left to fix is WiFi/3G, right? Oh, and Audio (LOL)

When they had no working data of any kind on Sprint GNex version someone swapped out libRIL.so and got data going in some form in the early stages..edit.. I have a GNex as well. Its almost there on that phone. Everything except mms receive works

You took the libRIL.so from the Gnex rom and put it on the NS4G version? Is that what your saying? Im a little confused

No they took it from a working GNex ROM and put it on the JB GNex ROM and it got some part of data working but I asked a dev about it and there's more to it than that. I am trying to get some info for you

Will I brick?

On GSM galaxy nex, if I'm already on bigxies JB ROM can I flash back and forth between ICS and JB ROMs on the fly? I want to try paranoid android or aokp. JB is slick but want a taste of a custom ICS on my nex since I went straight onto JB upon unboxing yesterday.

Yes, just do a backup first if you want, then do a full wipe and flash away

Wiping the system wouldn't be a bad idea either.

I have my backup of slim ics and run jb also. I can switch between the two with no problems

You should be able to. I was able to return to a backup of AOKP, then reflash Jelly Bean, and I have had no problems.

Yeah, just wipe /system as said before. Had some issues back on G2x if it wasn't wiped, so its a habit now.

Yeah ive been going back and forth all morning. Finally keeping it on JB I think. For now anyway. I think I have the speaker volume problem resolved and I still need to test MMS but all in all its pretty slick. I'm not really seeing and new functionality within the notification pulldown. It obviously looks different but what does it do differently?

To me, it was more... informative I guess? Like when I got a Message, instead of saying "New message from Bob the builder", it would say "Bob the builder: Hey theking, want to build something today?".
Or in Gmail, it'd show me who it was from, and then about 3-5 lines of text about the email. I loved the new look of it entirely, miss that on my HOX but not too much.
It was conditional basically, all the notifications wouldn't be the same size/display the same about of info as on ICS and earlier versions of Android.

Why don't u just make a back up of all three.
And then back up ur apps every time u feel like switching.

I'd stick to JB if it wasn't feature less

"invalid beta key" with Revolutionary

Hey all- I just downgraded my firmware on my replacement phone so I can s-off and root. The downgrade went fine. When I run revolutionary and enter the beta key I keep getting "invalid beta key" I have triple checked the serial number and I have tried 0 instead of O, etc. I finally stopped after a couple dozen attempts. Can anyone suggest a fix here?

Copy and paste the beta key into Ms word or another program so you can change the font. You have to type it exactly as they have it and their font sucks for that.

Thanks. Good tip but that is what I did. I pasted it into a text editor and then manually typed the characters on the line below to verify they matched. I will go back today and try again. At this point all I have managed to do is downgrade my firmware and lose 2 months worth of configuration and tweaking.

Problem solved. Contacted Revolutionary team via their chat space. I did not know how to cut and paste in a windows cmd window. I was provided with this MS link http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/windows_dos_copy.mspx?mfr=true and that did the deed.
Now I can move onto flashing a ROM. I was told there is a good and stable ICS ROM for us so I will hunt that down now. Any suggestions will be welcome.

On second thought, I remember reading a press release a couple three months back from Verizon giving the devices OTA schedule for ICS. DINC 2 was listed for late July. Maybe I should just wait a bit for the devs to get their brains on it.

I wouldn't wait, the developers here got ics running almost flawlessly, and jb is already being worked on. I have such a hard time staying on one rom b/c their all so good, I can bounce between condemned's, ukb, or cm9. I'd say flash away and whenever we do get the official ics updates, everyone will be on jelly bean or something newer

Don't wait. Just jump right in! If you don't like what you find, there are plenty of GB roms that are rock solid.
If you go UKB, I recommend X. V is a bit laggy for me. Of course, your challenge is going to be reading through 800+ pages of posts!

Okay, twist my arm. I will flash one. I absolutely loved the last ICS ROM I had on my dinc1. It was Abducted. Do you know if any are similiar to that?

I can't get wifi tethering working on UKB. Tried 3 versions of wifi tether beta and barnacle. WIFI tether is a must have for me. Any other recommendations for a good ICS ROM?.I like to use Apex launcher and I like the folder and notification interface in ICS.

Barnacle fails on first try, but should work flawlessly after that.
Kangdemnation is awesome.
You could also try aero's cm9 build.
If you're looking for sense, ukb is top. Unless you go back to gb.

I'm running UKB-X. Barnacle Just keeps failing for me. I have installed and uninstalled several times and started and restarted at least a dozen. When I first run it gives a failure notice and asks to install wpa supplicant. After that it runs but my tablet will not connect.
I use Apex launcher so I don't really need the Sense widgets anyway. I love the ICS folder and notification handling. I ran CM7 on my dinc1 for awhile and liked it a lot. I'm considering CM9, Kangemnation, or MIUI ICS next. I'm leaning toward Kangemnation on yours and another recommendation. Think I will flash it as soon as I run a nandroid now.

Well the install with my newly installed 4EXT went without a hitch. I don't understand the Google backup. When I installed UKB it put back most of my apps. This time it only put back 2. It is generally inconsistent for me. I believe if you make sure your hardware ID is different you can disable the option to clear the backup and then clear the cached data on your SD card. Then if you reflash the rom and enable the restore it will start fresh and put back all or most of your apps. Anyway, since I have a Titanium backup it is better because I can selectively restore a batch with all the my user data (no system apps!)
The big thing for me was getting wifi tethering (using it to post this on my tablet now). I could not get it with UKB using any 3rd party apps. With Kangdemnation the resident hotspot app works fine.
I have tethering and the ICS sweetness. So far I am a happy camper!

I am really liking this ROM. It has all the features i like from other ROMs. My Quadrant score is very good also.

Hi,
I got a serious question regarding the GPS for JB. I've tried many different roms, and the GPS works except for the JB ROMS.
I tried everything, but no luck yet. I've read that some people open up the phone, and tighten the GPS wire, but I would never do that.
I tried the flashing to stock then get GPS LOCK then flash the JB rom, but that didn't really work. Some people said it worked for them, but I have no idea how. I must be missing a lot.
Currently, I am using Paranoid Android latest rom, before I flashed that ROM I was using stock ICS, and "GPS" was working fine from the same location I am at right now.
I tried GPS Status toolbox, and other apps to delete the GPS Data, and download gps data, still no luck. I tested that under the sky, and still no luck. Is there something out there I could do ? I've been searching for a while, and had no luck.

You may want to give the new PACman ROM a spin. I had a lot of issues with my GPS on a lot of PA builds, however, with this ROM, it just seems to have disappeared. Sniper took over the project from KBizzle and is doing an amazing job with it. If you're not familiar with PACman, it is like a Frankenstein ROM comprised of parts of PA, AOKP, and a couple of others I can't remember now. Most of my issues have disappeared while on this ROM. Actually the ROM is pretty good. I noticed though it needs some battery tweaking staff because battery is running out quicker than the usual !

Running fk23 stock jb and GPS has been on the money since day one, and battery usage comparable to gb.
When all else failes try running stock, you may like it better.

I had the same problem running a JB rom. I did backup in CWM, restored my GB Original rom, ran my GPS app and got a fix and rebooted to CWM while my GPS was still running then restored my JB backup and the GPS locked perfectly with no issues after that. I did however just watch Tim's video and I would guess that doing a one-time restore to get your gps fix without actually going thru what I did, should work the same.

This is an update to the IC Tazz and Arctic Rom's, based on the Inc S OTA 4.14.405 and fitted for our CDMA Device!
Everything is working on this Rom, with exception to Facebook for HTC Sense... I'm working on this, but it's not exactly a big issue. Kernel Source is based still on the Chinese Leak, stock, but I would definitely recommend flashing one of the OC Kernels after flashing this Rom!
I will follow up with adding links to the Inc S Mods for this Rom (from the Second Sun Inc S Forum Thread) as well as an Aroma Mod Package (Will contain all the Mods, plus De-Sense and anything else I can think of to add!). I will also have a Revert to Stock Option for users that want to switch back...

I'm working on an Aroma Mod Pack for this Rom that will give you all the options you want (Desense, Status Bar Changes, etc...). Regular app works, just not the Sense stuff, like friendstream... Seems to be hung up on authorizing (goes to a webpage that's not working...)

I got a 17in dell precision with an nvidia half gig graphics card that is defective from factory , it start showing green lines on the screen and the only way to remove is to bake the graphics card in the oven at 400* to rework the solder lol
And i thought it was never good to freeze your dix
Installed this ROM last night ..... Blazing fast . aside from 4g , its as responsive as my gnex , crazy :thumbup::thumbup:

Basically, anything over 88 Degrees and the screen refuses to come back on. So, 10 minutes in the freezer with the back open and the battery out usually gets it useable again... Past it's warranty, and we've already bought 2 batteries for this in the past 3 months... Something is screwy, but Verizon says it's my problem, so I guess my son has to deal with it till December!
BTW, I still haven't fixed the facebook for sense ordeal yet, but I do have an update for this to clean up some other issues I found... Should have it up tonight. Facebook for sense and a Mod script, I'm hoping by the weekend...
