I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but maybe this would be a good starting point for us to post our own UOT Kitchen interfaces, give tips for other users on how to utilize every function the Kitchen gives us, and basically show off our work!
quick question, how do you use the stuff created from UOT kitchen? is it just simply installing something on your phone? or you have to push the files to your phone to certain paths?
You have to upload files to
Uot and then it will give you a zip to flash. I've been trying to use it with CM7 but I'm not having too much luck. I want to change my icons, battery, notification bar, ect.but I'm having a bit of trouble. All that really changes is the variety, font, and some colors of the notification bar.

I just tried to run metamorph and it says it can't run because I don't have enough space in my system folder. Is anyone else experiencing this/know a fix for it?

I meant google smart ass.
I just did some minor tweaks to the icons, font, and battery on my stock FY...very pleased with the way it came out
Amazing how the simple things change the entire way the device looks
This should be in themes and apps section, but anyways.
I am updating my CM7 theme and when I am finished I will post it in our themes section. I have used the UOT kitchen in the past but found there were things I could not do with it. So that is how I got into making themes. Flashable, MM, and Tmo theme engine are all pretty simple, just pick your poison.
Hi,
Since I know nothing in theming I have a "little request". I don't want a whole theme but I would just a theme (with vrtheme? So it can be universal) for black background/black pop-up or at least the black pop-up (menu for the system, long press on screen, widget list, and some apps like for the black background). I know some apps uses their own background for example and not the system background but with the link below, actually all my apps have now a black background. I just miss the pop-ups...
I say "at least" because for the black background I use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688896&highlight=black+background but unfortunately the pop-up remains gray
I know there is some themes with black pop-up but these whole themes doesn't suits my needs and I don't know how to edit them to have just what I want...
A "all in one" black background/pop-up would be great
So if someone could do that I would be very grateful
Thanks in advance
EDIT: done by antiochasylum (a big thanks to him)
See the attachment for the vrtheme he did (also posted by him in the second page).

Hi,
I have no doubt about that, therefore I request this to all the themer's
Because I have not any knowledge in this kind of mods... But here some themer's make a hell of a job for a whole theme, that's why I think just a black background/pop-up is softer. Maybe I'm wrong...

Nope, I figured it out. Sadly I cannot get VR theme to work with it, I manually replaced the images.
Do you know how to pull your framework of your current rom and send it to me?
Edit: nevermind, I had a brain fart. Here is the VR theme to black out pop ups and backgrounds.
Let me know if it works, it works on my device.

Hi,
I'm not sure that it will work on Jelly Bean rom... It's not a whole theme, just black backgrounds and pop-ups. The blue icones from my screenshots come from another mod, just in case
You can try but Nandroid backup first
And just flash it via CMW.
figured I share this for those who luv themes now I have done nothing here except send you the links for easy access thank the proper people... that said like anything that is flashed you do so at your own risk I'm not responsible for you borking your phone etc etc that being said,
I have flashed all of these on Triune Kyan and ARISTODEMOS and have all worked 100% so seems that they work on Stock RomS I just wiped cache and Dalvik cache before flashing..

I have not tried JB yet but only one way to find out make sure you do a back up first..
if anyone is having issues with a theme try this flash the AnastasiA_V4 theme like a base and then flash the theme of your choice... good luck
I'm not sure how these work on US variants when coming from the i9300, I flashed the ICS Blue Mod V3 by John Peers on to Aristodemos II and it TOTALLY jacked up my notification pull down.... The icons were themed correctly and all, but the notification window was completely transparent, had a shadow of a giant triangle / up arrow in the center of it, and all my notifications (new email, etc) were transparent against my home screen so the letters were impossible to make out! Are you saying that flashing the AnastasiA_V4 theme first will fix it, because as far as I can tell, there's more tweaking that has to be done in order to get them to work with US variants, it didn't work for me on Aristodemos II - had to flash the ROM back just to clear out all that crap
With the exception of the black theme and the red theme, all the rest cause me to get "system UI has stopped" errors.
No matter what I do I cannot get the others to work.
Rooted stock ICS
Works for me on team insomia...love the clear pulldown great work!!

Hey guys, I'm a relative from the AT&T LGOG community.
I made a small (amateurish) theme for the mms.apk for my phone and wanted to try and port it to the sprint variant.
I used the LGUSMms.apk from a deodexed ZV9 stock ROM (posted by b-reezy HERE).
I do not have the Sprint LGOG and therefor have not been able to test this.
Some great users have tested and reported it works. Thanks guys.
LINK to original AT&T thread.
I have spent the last 2 days re-theming the conversation skins for the stock LGUSMms.apk.
I was inspired by whiteguypl's theme HERE.
This has his dark holo theme included. (Has the same little issue where the text color of links that people send you is the same as the background color).
(If you have an issue with this whiteguypl, please let me know).
I have included screenshots for all the themes.
I know they are a little rough, I am still brand new to themeing.
This was some pretty tough work (mostly because I had to learn a lot and made a few mistakes in the process).
Usual Disclaimer:
I am not responsible for any harm done to your device from flashing this.
I have flashed it fine on my phone without issues but cannot promise the same for you.
This replaces the LGUSMms.apk from /system/app/, so I strongly recommend either a system backup in recovery or at least making a copy of your LGUSMms.apk before installation.
Install via recovery.

Are you on a deodexed rom?
If not, maybe try renaming /system/app/LGUSMms.odex to LGUSMms.odex.bak (I'm assuming this is the name of it).
Then reboot.
I had a user say that that worked for another mod on a stock odexed rom.

Right, if you are deodexed there shouldn't be a .odex file, so there shouldn't have been anything to rename (if you renamed the .apk then the system won't see the app anymore, you'll want to change it back).
Did you try changing the conversation skin at all? Maybe one just didn't work (my guess it would be the blue striped background, the image names were different).
Can you try copying the THIS file (just the .apk in the .zip, maybe the .zip didn't flash right) to /system/app and making sure permissions are set to -rw-r--r--.
You'll have to reboot every time you change an app in there.
Thanks, and sorry it didn't work like it should have at first, I appreciate the help.

Great!
By copying the .apk or something else?
If so, maybe the .zip was messed up.
I'm thinking maybe the script is not mounting the partition correctly due to differences between the AT&T and Sprint versions.

And I was hoping to do more, but don't know when (see above) and was also hoping to fix the text color issues. I have been looking around in the .xmls and think I may have found the link colors, but I have yet to find out where the colors are set for individual skins (ie. the green "nature" theme has blue text in it because the original paper skin had blue text in it, I haven't been able to find where that is set).
Just wanted to give you an update, changed ROM's and flashed V1.2 and it worked perfect.
Works great wish we had more color schemes or choices

Power menu icons have been in the past located in framework. And volume in systemui. Will let u know once I am rooted and start to dig in.
