Since this is my first post, I am not allowed to ask this question in the development thread.
Some time ago I started using JellyTime 7.2. All newer versions including v9.1 are not working for me since WLAN is not working and I don't have any idea how to fix it.
My logcat output:
Code:
D/WifiService( 1650): setWifiEnabled: true pid=2897, uid=1000
E/WifiStateMachine( 1650): Failed to load driver!
E/WifiStateMachine( 1650): DriverFailedState
I am using an HTC Desire HD with 4ext. I flashed this ROM with 4ext and I wiped boot, system, cache and data. I also cleared my sdcard except the installation zip.
Any ideas what I can do?

Hi there,
I'm new here as well, and well, i'm having similar problem with the JB builds, the WiFi works but when the phone is going to sleep for a while the WiFi stops working, I have to restart the phone to have the WiFi functional again, maybe is something related with the deep sleep or something like that, dont really know
cheeers!
btw, I'm always doing FULL wipe before installing a new rom!
I think randomblame will fix it if he knows this problem.
It's a question of time. VirtuousROM Quattro RC3 has the same problem. Maybe this is a CM10 bug which has affects both ROMs. I don't know.

Me too. After flashing boot, system, cache and data the only partition left is recovery and you won't like to flash this.
This seems to be a general problem since wifi doesn't work in MIUI.us 2.9.14 v4 and logcat shows the same error message.
i also have the problem with WIFI until i try the last release, R10. At the time my WIFI works fine.
This is very interesting because I tested IceColdSandwich, MI.UI and VirtuosROM Quatro. I made a backup of each installation and I played around. I always did a full wipe. And suddenly it works in JellyTime 9.1 and it also works in JellyTime 10 and I really do not know why.
Since it is working I experienced another problem: After a few hours of being not connected to a network, wifi breaks. After reboot it works fine.
In fact, I assume that this is a CM bug. IceColdSandwich and JellyTime are based on CM10. Quattro is compiled from source...
This is the one and only explanation I have -- obviously not a good one.
As I have seen, JellyTime R11 has been released. I will give it a try and hope it will solves the problem.
Don't forget to check your battery cover. It's bound to fix the issue for some of you.

What does that have to do with wifi?
R11 breaks wifi again -- completely. It doesen't work anymore.

If it's not properly adjusted wifi may not work. The antenna's are there.

After flashing boot.img over fastboot it works as before: when the phone is going to sleep for a while the wifi stops working.
It seems that it works in R12 but I'm not sure, because I hadn't much time for testing. I will flash R13 an hope that this issue had been solved.

R13 works perfect for me. I've never did a reboot since flashing. My phone is running R13 nonstop for 22 hours and 15 minutes.
But keep in mind that after wiping boot, system, data, cache and flashing the zip with 4ext I flashed the boot image again over fastboot. I think this should help you too.
Try to set region in right way. You can find it in wifi settings. It worked for me.

RandomBlame is The King Of The Universe
Yesterday I went to sleep at 9:30 PM. The battery on my DHD was 47%. Now it is 7:30 AM and my battery is still 47%
I thought only God can do this. Now I know that Randomblame and possibly God can do this

It's really strange, no matter what ICS rom i use, WiFi doesn't work at all! I turn on WiFi and it gets turned on, and after pressing Scan it says No available WiFi detected... i have tried various ROMs, latest updates, including cm-ics, IceColdSandwich, MIUI us, PrimoS.. having the same problem
However, it works on any other non-ics rom, like LeeDroid, MIUI Android, Ultimate Ace..
I've also used WIFI Manager app still no luck..
please help.. thanks.
Are you full wiping? I do get wifi with most/all ics roms. That is the only type of connection I use. Is it that you don't get any connection at all? Or does it turn on for a while? Is your router working properly? Only happens with ics and not gb?
Do a full wipe, download the file again, make sure the checksum matches and most impirtantly, check the op ti see if that is a known issue. However, most of ths ics have working wifi.

What ICS ROM do you have?
I don't know why, but "dirty reflash" worked for me.
#1 Full wipe and flash the ROM.
#2 Setup and repeat rebooting until the error happens.
#3 Reboot into recovery, wipe cache and dalvik cache.(just to make sure)
#4 Reflash the ROM w/o full wipe and reboot.
#5 Enjoy

Just checking but did you flash the kernel that came with it and 'fastboot clear cache' ?
hmm
How odd! I have been experiencing the same issues, since yesterday night, but I have Ice Cold Jelly. I then did the squeeze test, and unfortunately, it showed a hardware issue.

I use bricked installer to install kernel and now I'm switch to bricked kernel and the same:crying:
Yes, it is no doubt that some rom is not stable to settle the wifi problems. Just try the other rom:crying:
I'm having the same sort of issue yet before I connect it shows full connection, yet when I try to connect it just sticks on connecting and the signal drops completely, tried P.A 2.1, CM10 Domination, MiUi, Renovate, ncx's latest kernels faux's kernels nothing anyone have any other suggestions?
Hey guys,
My gps isn't working accurate.
First off it worked pretty good but when I changed to a custom rom (android revolution Hd) it didn't anymore.
When i use google maps, it takes a damn long time to get a fix on my position and when it does it stays accurate for about 5 seconds and then it starts to change to a street next to me then to another side... etc. . Also when i am standing still it jumps for my location to 50meters ahead of me and behind me, changing my speed to 20km/h ... I think you get the problem. Also the same problem on navigon (navigation software) it is constanly rerouting me because of the inaccurate position. So its not an application issue.
I flashed the rom as it should be, with boot.img through fastboot and zip file in cwm. Except for the gps there are no other issues.
Then i flashed the original rom in cwm with boot.img in fastboot, still the same problem.
I then tried CM10 and it became even worse... every 20 seconds it gave me a position update in maps and with navigon there wasn't even a update because it couldn't get a fix.
And i also used fasterfix on every rom except the original one (not rooted) to set my gps to europe.pool.ntp.org or something like that...
Now i am trying to revert to android revolution HD but first my battery has to be charged above 10% and it goes damn slow because of the bricked boot (made a mistake while changing form CM10 to And rev HD) Can't flash the and rev HD yet but does somebody in the meantime know a solution ?
Somebody ??
Could it be a problem with the kernel ? because i didn't flash one separatly
Does somebody has a solution ?
Unfortunately, I also have the same problem with rom coredroid and igo primo aid to some expert please
thanks
I had the same issue when I moved from Stock to the Modaco Ir5 Vanilla ROM, my GPS didn't even go as far as finding my location inaccurately, it didn't work at all. Hence I couldn't use my maps/navigation.
I am now running the Slim Bean ROM and everything is working great. I am no expert, but have you always done the usual 'full wipe data > clear cache partition > clear Dalvik cache' while flashing new ROMs?
For your charging issue, maybe try this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646135
My phone is now allright but you i'll try the rom you are speaking about and see if the gps works better.
and... Also tried another kernel (eternity) but it still didn't work
I had this issue and had it fixed after sending my phone to service 3 times.
The first time they only did a reset, didn't help.
Second time they changed the wifi, GPS module, didn't help.
I sent them a recording of the problem on the third time. This time they changed the motherboard and it finally got fixed.
Remember to tell them that the issue is specially visible when GPS and WiFi are both on.

This may help - GPS Fix.
It worked for me, but not for the faint hearted.
Hello, some days ago my DHD begin to reboot randomly (but only when I've been using it, never when in standby). So I decided to reflash the ROM to fix it. But even after reflashing twice, it's the same... What could be causing it? Thank you all!

Make sure that the battery contacts are clean (use a bit of alcohol to wipe them) also try to put all the apps in the phone and not in the sdcard (if that is your case)...:good:
If you have overclock, you can reduce the frequency of the CPU and the problem should be solved
it's not overclocked, and the battery is almost new (2 months). It's the official HTC battery, so it shouldn't be the problem...
OK so these are probably stupid questions, but has anything changed that you may have omitted to tell us - like maybe a new ROM, kernel, radio etc? Are you sure there hasn't been an OTA update? When you reflashed, did you wipe the system and Dalvik caches?
It might help to tell us what ROM etc you've got installed.
I always full wipebefore flashing, and the ROM I flashed is the same I had for months, without any problem. It started suddenly

Hi all.
My Desire HD sometimes reset and reboot. It's a couple of months that happens.
Now I have Sabsa Prime ROM but before I was in Virtuous Rom beta 1 ,so it's not related to rom.
I guess that reset happens only when I have put on WIFI: no reset with HSDPA or GPRS.
I have last Radio 12.68.60.29U_26.16.04.09.
It's possible that the problem is in radio.img?
Thanks to all

Sorry to discard your theory, but these days I've been switching radios to test, but with every one I tried, it's still the same...
I've tried:

12.68.60.29U_26.16.04.09
12.69.60.29_26.17.14.11_M

I tried to go to recovery and select "fix permission".
It's 2 days that I don't see reset.
Wow, I'll try it and post the result!
No luck here... I fixed permissions through 4ext recovery, but same issue persists...
It has something to do with the number of devices connected to my wifi. I tried connecting only my phone, and it stayed on for a long time. Then I connected my pc to the wifi, and after a while my phone rebooted. Maybe some kind of IP conflict, or something like that...?
I gave my phone a fixed IP and still reboots, so it's not that. But I think it's weird that onlye reboots when my pc is connected to the wifi...
Perhaps something about WiFi adb, dlna or something like that

Hi everyone!
I have problem with JellyTime on HTC DHD.
First I install JellyTime 4.2.2R7 into phone. The bluetooth not working.
After then I re-install JellyTime 4.2.2R9. The bluetooth ok, but gallery can't play video. Error text "Can't play this video"
--> Finally I re-install JellyTime 4.2.2R8. But the same, can't play video (open a video, waiting a long time and it still not working)
I also wiped cache and data and flash again.
Can everyone show me resolve this problem. Thanks so much!

Hi,
I installed JellyTime 4.2.2 R8 a few days ago and never tried to play a video file on it before seeing your message.
I just put an .mp4 (720p) on my DHD and opened it with the integrated Google video player. Everything seems to be fine for me on that point. I can go forward and backward without any lag.
I tested also 3gp files, recorded with the camera and it works fine as well.
If you do it another way, could you give more details about how you proceed? I'm interested in checking if it works. And it can be handy for people to help you find a solution.
By the way, do you have any issue with GPS on JellyTime R8? In any case, could you indicate which radio version you have and if your DHD is S-ON or S-OFF?
GPS is not working on mine (no notification-bar icon, no fix), my phone is S-ON and radio version is 12.65.60.29U_26.14.04.28_M.

Apparently, flashing the radio ROM can fix it. But need to be S-OFF and it is more risky than just flashing the OS.
The ICS ROM you talk about has Sense, right?

yes it does...i read about flashing a new radio too..but yes basically it must be s-off.
I'm still researching. I'll tell you if i have any news.
Ok I solved doing this:
- Install this ROM (full wipe first) from herehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1382235&highlight=zip full stock version.
- Then check that the gps works with gps status
- Go in recovery, do a wipe data/ factory reset
- INstall the JB R9 + gapps
Hope you can fix.

Amazing !!
It fixed my GPS issue as well! But how it solved it is still a mystery.
I did it almost the same way as you did. I explain it behind in case it can be usefull for somebody else experiencing GPS issues:
Reminder: being S-ON, do not forget to flash boot.img from the ROM image using fastboot.exe !
- back up of JellyTime R8
- from Recovery:
-------->full wipe (data/factory resest + cache + dalvik)
-------->restore back up of my previous Sense ROM (the one that has been installed after using HTCDev-like tools to root/unlock/S-ON the phone)
- reboot on the Sense Rom and activate GPS and check status using GPS Status & Toolbox (can take several minutes before getting a fix signal)
- reboot in recovery:
-------->full wipe again
-------->restore backup of JellyTime R8
- reboot and finally activate GPS using the icon bar or going in parameters (the GPS icon should start blinking) and check the fix using again GPS Status & Toolbox (or whatever).
Thank you again Icifide !
