Can anyone plz remove the rings and lock icon from holo locker i mean make it juzz a simple samsung like locker.. Plz plz make it....

If you remove all that, then what's the use of the holo locker. You already have the stock one.
Anyways, about a half part of my brain thinks that those rings and all that are in XMLs, maybe in the 'anim' folder(s), and another half thinks it is too hard to be done. You can always try for yourself.

Its possible yes....
This is achieved with an app called WidgetLocker...
The possibilities to create your own unique lockscreen is virtually endless..
no i dont mean widget locker. This picture is from a custom rom. And this lockscreen is no app, its an modified stock lockscreen.

Well.. then they have built the widgetlocker app into the ROM...
It's not that unique..
Call it whatever you want,, you can duplicate it with WidgetLocker.

I dont think its widgetlocker...
I mean if they edit their framework (i dunno which .xml it is), they can get this as a normal lockscreen...

Correct.... but OP asked how to achieve the effect on SG2
And the answer to that is WidgetLocker...
I could also write that we could make a launcher for him, but who would bother do that just for the lockscreen which you can mod with stock Touchwiz launcher...
I attached my lockscreen just as an example...

I just wanted to say that because i didn't see the WL icon on the statusbar (i've never used it so i dunno if it's always there)
And i was also wondering because it's 99% the same as the original one (the bar on the bottom is the 1% which isn't normal)
and also his carrier is there on top (vodafone.de)

Hi,
just a quick question, how did you get the batter percentage on the lock screen and also missed call, sms email etc icons? I already have widgetlocker but did not see these options. (mine is has now been rooted)

All android phones have this lockscreen built in, its just a matter of how you
enable it. with my last phone i could delete htclockscreen.apk and my phone
would then have that lockscreen. I dont know the exact procedure to enable
this lockscreen on the sgs2, normally its done by the rom chef and you can
select it in the settings.
Look or ask here for info if you dont want some 3rd party lockscreen (which i dont)

Very interested in this too, as I hate the samsung lockscreen. I'd like the CM7 lockscrern (with rotary unlock and battery percentage) even more though.

Is there a Deodexed ROM for KE7? It would be hard to work with Odexed rom, since you have to re-odex the files using your device and ADB.

so then does it not exist? the reason why i thought about it was back in the windows mobile days, when there was a lockscreen app the same way and ppl started themeing it by puting the superman logo on the dots and stuff like that...

Its really easy.... Just extract the framework-res.apk you are using and look in the drawable hdpi and youll know whick ones are the images and change them to what you want...

Hi there everyone I have been learning about theme but having some trouble getting study time with all my kids yelling and screaming all day. So far i know about .9 and samlli apk manager decompile and recompile . as well as xml files.
My issue wright now is that I don't know exactly what files to edit to get the changes I want. If there's any tut on what file changes change what, that would be aswom, like for example I want to change the over-scroll color but I have changed the images I thought would change that and nothing.. But if not can anybody tell me what I have to edit to, change the color on the status bar, and the color of the letters on the status bar like the clock. and system letters.

I'm learning how to theme. And I'm making an orange theme but I don't know where to change the color of the numbers and letters. Example the clock on my status bar is blue I wanna make them orange. Or when I type with the keyboard the auto suggest letters are blue and I wanna make them orange.. Hi there I never got a cuanse to get you my last b folder to help me with the pop up note remember.

Yeah I remember. I already have the app modded as I use it myself.
But anything in the status bar is found in the SystemUI.apk
It is going to be an XML as well.

A no brainer way is to use the app "rom toolkit".. if u go to the playstore its actually on sale right now and its well worth the regular price let alone the sale price, i paid the full amount and couldn't be more stoked.. Its about 10 apps in one and a must have for any noob root user like myself (any user for that matter).. one of the many features is theme changer where u can change the theme, font, status bar, boot loader ect.....

Its going I just tried to recompile framework. Apk with apk manager but I get an error. And it compiles with nothing on it like 0 bits.so I'll figure it out... The only reason to use a pk manager is to b able to edit XML in a readable language right? Cause last time I didn't use apk manager and it was OK but I couldn't edit any XML cause hex just not that good with it.

I believe you need to edit the background and icon pngs to make them narrower they are usually found in framework-res.apk and twframework-res.apk you need basic abd push and pull knowledge it sounds harder than it is not being a pro more of a messer this is fight to the best of my knowledge hope it helps
