Is the Note 2 really worth getting? Do we know if its LTE proof for TMobile? Or would we have to upgrade to an LTE version when LTE rolls out?

I think the TMo version in HSPA+ only
If that's the case, no point in T-Mo customers upgrading right away.

Hey I'm thinking about switching to straight talk(atnt) from my current 5gb/100mins $30 t mobile monthly 4g plan.
The reason is because T-Mobile is very slow in my area of Brooklyn and I want to know if anyone can tell me their data speeds in Brooklyn. I have a T-Mobile galaxy s3 which is unlocked.
Thanks

Half of Straight Talk uses T-Mobile towers..

From what I've read Straight talk has both T-Mobile and Atnt sims. That maybe true but atnt has better coverage and that is what I'm looking for

People should really get out of the habit of using marketing catch-phrases with "G's" in them. There is no 3G or 4G. There is HSPA+ and there is LTE. GoPhone does NOT offer LTE service (yet), but you WILL get HSPA+ service.
Who is the video on hspa+ is like tmobile or faster

I work for AT&T, the largest Gophone data plan right now is 1GB. If you stuck a Gophone SIM in the N2, there's a chance the data wouldn't even work. I've heard this from many customers with various smartphones. Talk and text works but data doesn't. Not sure why. But as stated, no LTE for Gophones right now.

Can anyone with the new update please confirm if the new baseband supports LTE or not? Thanks!

The phone is already LTE capable, however T-Mobile needs to flip the switch 1st then we will get an update.
Not yet tmobile not ready 4 lte sometime in 2014

Or more likely 2013 depending in your area.
Hastily spouted for your befuddlement
Hopefully someone can find out how to activate LTE so that we won't have to wait til 2014 when the phone is outdated.

2014? Really dude....phone is already LTE capable and tmo is rolling out their 4G this coming year. Chill out.
Enabling the phone won't do crap until Tmo heats up their LTE mojo on the network. Patience grasshopper.

Not everyone who has the T889 is on Tmobile like you. The phone may have an LTE chip, but it's not usable... so it's not really "LTE capable".

T-Mobile is going to use metro pcs LTE in 2013

How well would my s4 work on the AT&T network? Thinking of making the switch only because TMO has very bad coverage @ my place of employment and zero coverage @ my new home. Please do consider that I will apply the appropriate compatible radios/rom(s) for ATT.

Yes.
You have to SIM unlcock it. There is a guide around here somewhere. It's really easy.
Do not switch radios. Let me say that again. Do not flash an AT&T radio. You will not be happy.
OK thanks. I appreciate it. I've subscribed to the sim unlock topic, just need to do it. And I wont be flashing the radio!

I use my T-Mobile gs4 on AT&T, but be sure to check your APNs, otherwise you might not be getting LTE.

But now with my one it doesn't wanna work all I get is edge no mms. Everything else works great like sms calls voice mail etc. Would flashing something help? Please help.

I do not believe the Verizon One hardware supports metropcs (t-mobile) AWS 4g (band IV?)

you be better of using it on tmobile if anything
which apns did you put in
Well, the Verizon one may be unlocked, so you can put almost any SIM in it and have it work, but the hardware does not support all bands of LTE and/or frequencies.

yeah found out unlocked htc one dont really support tmobile/metropcs basebands well
Could always trade someone a Verizon HTC one for a t mo HTC one. Just because it's the same phone doesn't mean it has the same internals.
