The official price in HK is $5698 simlock free
Divide by around 7.8 for USD

The starting price for the unlocked GN2 in the Netherlands is 629 euro`s. Only one price listed so far
It is 440£ from clove.co.uk for the unlocked 16gb. It is where I ordered mine.
That comes out to $715 US. Shipping is pretty reasonable about 16£ ($26) to the US via DHL.
If you wait a bit after it is officially released you will be able to find it slightly cheaper from hk sellers on eBay (grey market versions).. Also, don't let price be your only guide as to where you are buying from, take into account the reliability of the sellers, especially if you are buying from eBay.

Make sure you get a genuine handset and not some import model from who knows where. If a problem should occur you may not have warrantee in the US. Better check that first, because the price looks way to low to me
Full retail on the US cellular pre order page is $799.

I was reading the pre order threads for the S2 and the S3 here on xda and Clove seems to have a good reputation, so I am not worried about receiving a non genuine phone.
However...I should probably clarify a few things since I did mention buying Grey market in my previous post: Ordering out of country always carries risks with warranty. Essentially if you order from a UK, or any dealer outside North America, you can expect not to have a US warranty, or sometimes only a service-only warranty (ie, you pay for the parts). In the case of Clove or Handtec, warranty is usually handled by the vendor company (you ship back to the shop you bought it from, and they ship it to their repair place).
If you order a grey market phone from ebay, though, expect to have no warranty coverage..as it is unlikely the seller will do a warranty return for you. Also beware of sellers who claim their products carry a Samsung "International" warranty.
I bought my SGN1 from a Sin Tat dealer in HK when I was there for a visit earlier this year. The prices there are very good, but it comes with the understanding that there is no returns, and no warranty outside of HK.

You'd be fortunate to find it for under $600. If you do, jump on it. It will be expensive for a long time, or at least until a GSM carrier offers if on contract in the US. Then it will fall.

Your point? I purchased the one that is for $622 and it came as yakjuxw and not 'yakju.' None of this matters, it can be changed in <5 minutes.
Just silly how they offer both versions with one of them being the higher price.

Of course it doesn't matter. I bought the canadian and flashed it to yakju in 5 minutes too...
I'm saying this is why theyre differentiating between the two. Their indication is the more expensive one has a higher chance to be yakju (theyre sourcing them from the UK often, but Latin America recently). The Canadian one has a * in the description saying its on 4.0.1 and not updated by Google (or something to that effect).
The real reason why they're selling them a tad cheaper is probably because the CAN versions come with a US-standard charger and they don't have to include one (they have to open and replace chargers in the other ones). And they probably got a big batch buy and got to offer a lower price because of it.
POINT BEING that people should just buy the cheaper CAN version if they are available.

And if the person gets the more expensive one and it ends up not being 'yakju' what happens there? because what you just said is that it has a higher chance of being 'yakju' but mines came as 'yakjuxw.'
Honestly, if someone was to buy the Galaxy Nexus from Negri it'd be a no brainer to get the $595 one. Negri should just get rid of the $622 one and have them both at the same price. Makes no sense, logically speaking.

Yes it clearly doesn't matter. They're not making a guarantee, but rather a disclosure on the CAN version that they know it won't be yakju.

Get it from Negri they will honor a one-year warranty on your device whereas other places may not. I know Expansys honors warranties. These warranties are done through the place you bought it from and not Samsung.
Samsung will not honor warranties from grey-marketed sales.

I'd go with Handtec or Clove in the UK. Expansys and Negri have been shipping Malaysian phones. Handtec actually delivers overnight where "express" from Expansys can take almost a week.
Was looking at Intergron Technology website as they have it for a bit cheaper. BBB check on them doesnt look bad. $599 is there price but what about warranty doing it this way? Is this a grey market purchase doing it this way will HTC honor the warranty?

Good questions. It's grey market by definition because it's being sold outside of the country/region of intended sale. I'm guessing Expansys is an authorized reseller but I don't know about the others. Samsung is insanely strict about grey market warranty support, I don't know about HTC. Phones purchased in the UK all come with a two year warranty. I don't know about Asia. Sorry for questions instead of answers. Maybe someone with more HTC experience knows more.
Well I can wait til some more folks throw in their 2 cents. I just wish HTC would have offered a 32gb XL or just put the SD slot on then this wouldnt be an issue.

Have you used an imported phone before? In addition to warranty questions there's also the fact you can't buy carrier insurance for it. I'd strongly suggest a SquareTrade warranty. They insure grey market phones and cover ADH should anything happen to it. It's about $95 for two years with a $99 deductible and they cover up to price you paid for the phone. There's some 30% off coupons on the Prime forum's front page to get to that $95. It's also transferable and adds a lot of value if you want to eBay or CL later.
I always get my phones from negrielectronics

Malaysian phones are just like every other phone. the only thing that might bother some is that the update took a few more days to get sent out. there's no good reason to pay more than you have to, but that's my opinion. mine was 619 with 5 day UPS.
the only warranty you can get for the X that i know of is Squaretrade. i've never had a phone go bad before i was done with it so i'm not getting one.
Yeah XL is bogus and LTE is not everywhere. Better development for Tegra as you can see. Plus you don't need a smartphone data plan so the phone will pay for itself. Unlimited data is 15 bucks, so your saving 15 a month.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA
Yeah I am on unlimited but not in an area that will see LTE in this decade lol. So thats why I am looking at the 32Gb version. 16 just wont cut it.
Newegg has it for 619 right now. I think I will be getting it there. Anyone else bought a phone from Newegg. I am concerned about there return policy. 30 Days for refund and 90 for replacement.
I bought mine from expansys. The phone shipped the same day I ordered it and got to my home in Arizona 2 days later. That was with their free shipping. I am very happy with them. I also received a flawless phone. Having zero issues here. This was my first time buying from them however I will gladly buy from them in the future.

Every importer has it. It's a bit more expensive because they came much much later and there's not nearly as big of supply/market for them.
I know Negri Electronics has them for something in the $450 range. Not sure what their shipping policy to the UK is though.

Do you get india warranty when u buy from ebay or amazon?
Hey people, I ordered a nexus 7 16gb wifi only, on 2nd august, and it'd be arriving either tomorrow or day after tomorrow.
There's this seller called TabIndia on eBay.
I got it for 17500/- ($288) which is the cheapest you can get. The seller is trusted, and really nice to talk to. For getting a discount of 1500 (instead of buying it at 19000 through PaisaPay by eBay), you need to deposit the money in his account and he'd send you the tablet.
Of course, it sounds like a Scam, but I did it, and the seller is trustable. He owns a nice shop and you could just check out his eBay Reviews.
you could mail him @ [email protected] if you wish to buy with certain discount.
He was selling 32gb at 20,500 AFAIK.
I'm really worried about screenguard since I don't have any. I ordered XtremeGuard but that'd take like 20 days more to arrive.
Any suggestions for the same? I have a neoprene sleeve which'd work for nexus 7 2 though.
Warranty ?

Hi!
I am waiting for my two Nexus 7 to arrive to Poland. They are bought from BestBuy. My question is: do i have a warranty included? I know that sometimes you have to purchase your warranty additionaly, how is it in this case? If the answer would be: yes, you have warranty, then will any Asus service around the world accept my device and fix it, if it had any issues?

Do you have an ASUS in your country that handles warranty ?
http://www.asus.com/pl/
Well, there are very few ones who are having problem. Trust me, the issues are very less as more people cry and complain even if they have a small defect, however, many people who got a fully working Nexus wouldnot really care to tell about it to the world and I know there are many thousands units sold already. Unfortunately, I have a problem with my Nexus with one of its speakers. The sound doesnot come from the top speakers. I will contact the ASUS UK and see what happens!

I don't see how you're able to pay the same in Europe.
The cost of the tablet is $229 for the 16GB version or $269 for the 32GB version, which is 171 euro or 200 euro. In the UK the 16GB version costs 199 pounds, which is the same as $310. So that alone is already more expensive than the 32GB version in the USA. The 32GB version is 239 pounds which is the same as $373. Which is nearly TWICE the amount that you'd have to pay in Europe. Shipping is only $20, or around 15 euro/12 pounds. So in the end buying it from the USA with tax + shipping still saves you around a 100 euro...
Paying a 100 euro more for a extra year warranty isn't really worth it in my eyes. Not only that, most people will get the refresh next year anyway which always happens shortly before or after warranty expires.
I paid 329 swiss francs and got 10%discount at Interdiscount.ch
Total around 298 swiss francs for the 32g.
