So when I use speed test, it is choppy, it's kind of like watching a scratched DVD. I average speeds between .5 and 2mbps, sometimes I get 12-15 mbps if I keep redoing the test. It's like I'm getting data I'm small spurts? I'm unlocked but on TMobile prepaid, I'm not being capped, I called and made sure. There's also no network outages. I'm using stock 4.0.4 ROM. I've tried every different radio (though I'm not sure what to wipe in order when flashing).

I don't understand why this is do sporadic. I unchecked and rechecked my GPS for the hell of it, and it pegged to 21mbps, but I couldn't duplicate it after that..

I always got slow speeds on aosp roms. Just for comparison try a sense rom and see if you get better speeds. If not just might be your area I guess. Or network congestion.
My speeds are horrible. I've been trying to download a 2mb file and its taking over 5 minutes.

same here, I love MIUI on my Evo but the 3g speeds are just terrible.
In the past 4-5 days I've gotten about 6 updates to my tablet. It tells ne to make sure the device is connected to the charger while it updates and connected to WiFi.
I do everything correctly and still no ICS? How do I get 6 updates and none of them are ics? Some were small sized files, and some were actually really big.
Edit***
I just grabbed my tablet and there is another update, this one 165.56mb
Edit again***
Looks like that update was it!!! Now running ics. ITS amazing , smooth and beautiful.
Close this please

In the settings for battery life I have very bad network strength:

I don't quite understand how the quality can change that fast, because I'm at work at the moment and my phone is lying on my desk beside me. Everytime I turn it on it has full network strength...
Anyone else got this problem?
Edit:
My phone tells me I didn't have a network signal vor over 70%, and that's definetely not true.
I'm having the same issue, I apparently didn't have a signal for 44% today which I know isn't true, I'd had data turned off for allot of the day, wonder if that had something to do with it

I have been been trying to get JellyBeans build 20 working on my T-Mobile note two for the last couple days, Ive got it about 99% but for the life of me I can not get LTE to work. Even if I go under mobile network and tell it to use only WCDMA.
Try the lastest two modems still didnt work
And the APN I am using is the fast.tmobile one, the only issue with that I wasnt able to tell the APN to use WAP 2.0 but HSPDA works perfectly so not sure if that is an issue
Also on any call that is not in my contacts it shows up like this

I never had a problem before, but lately ive had to restart the phone alot, still running into problems with the speed specifically loading instagram pictures, even simple snapchats. I feel like my phone internet speed is almost limited, hoping this isn't placebo as I never noticed this happening before
I heard on Friday is that ALL the carriers PLAN to SEVERLY Throttle your speeds so you get SO FRUSTRATED you are forced to stop using it.
Here's my current speeds:
