Touch to focus? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

I just got the Galaxy S 2 moving up from the Captivate, and I'm looking for a rom with a touch to focus camera. Is that option available?

I too am looking for a Camera app that lets you touch a selected area to focus. I initially thought Jelly bean would have this feature on default like they do with the GNex, but I guess I was wrong..

For touch to focus you need to use a TW based rom.

Camera question.

I noticed the S3 has a voice activate cashmere. You say "Cheese" and it takes pictures. Can this be ported to our phones? Would be tight.

It already is.
You must be rooted and running ICS to use this addon:

I don't think anyone has ported over the camera app itself yet though.

I'm on Blazers ICS rom. I have S Voice already, I was just looking for the voice activated camera. Thank you though!

About the Camera (possible buyer)

Hey guys,
I have a Xperia S but i'm not very happy with it's camera.
Today, AT&T Galaxy S3 is being sold for $500 on 1saleaday.
Do you guys think it's worth the change? I love my Xperia S, but I hate it's camera and Autofocus.
The camera this phone comes packaged with is awesome, one of the reasons I keep finding myself back on stock Rom.

[Req] Nexus Sprint Diagnostics app for GS3

If someone could get this working on our phone I would be so happy. I really hate having to switch to a TW rom to change PRL's
Would be pretty neat to have this working for our phones. Im always swtiching back n forth between TW and AOKP.
Bump

Split View in Messaging??

So I don't think this was asked yet but if it was, forgive me. Is there a way to get the split screen in the messaging app like I had on my S2? I notice that the Note 2 has the split messaging ability. Why not S3?
how did you used to do it on the s2. Never did that with my Hercules.
Paranoid Android and the note 2 port probably do that, however.

I think dj just released a experimental build, x4, that may do this

Gs4 camera in gs3

Is it possible to actually install the gs4 camera in the gs3? I know people are working with putting the apps in here but I'm talking about the actual camera.

Is it possible? Probably. Has it been done? Don't think so.

NO.
The camera is not an huge improvement over the s3 and even if it would be possible it wouldn't be worth the hassle

That's a nice opinion you have there.
I think the GS4 camera looks ace and I've wanted on my GS3 since it's been shown.

It is good and looks good design wise I agree however I think the s3 can do enough as a camera on a smartphone.
if I'd needed to take pictures each 2 seconds and needed detailed/good pics I would have definitely bought the Samsung galaxy camera.
