Does anyone know how to remove the gray horizontal lines you can see in Settings, etc. (like in the attached pic)? Thanks in advance.

Just out of curiosity, why?
To sort of answer your question, you'd have to look for it with in the System.apk.
Extract it, open it, look for the divider image file, edit it, recompress it, and then replace it with your system.apk.

System apk???
Its in the framework-res.apk in /res/drawable-xhdpi look for some pngs titled "dividers" I'm unsure about the exact name.

Because I like how everything looks without it better, but don't want to have to use a theme to get that look.

I've try to do it in same way You say ( in framework-res.apk in /res/drawable-xhdpi look for some pngs titled "dividers"), but nothing is change. I don't find anyone guide to delate dividers lines in settings Menù.
Someone can give me help? Thanks.

Steel Blue Lockscreen HDPI to MDPI... Possible? Anybody willing to try out?

Ok, the power button menu from Steel Blue theme looks really awesome but it's for HDPI devices. Is there a way someone can do this for MDPI phones?
Take a look here, first picture, left corner. I also attached the zip file containing the Steel Blue Lockscreen for HDPI.
If this will be done will be awesome. We'll use metamorph to apply it and it should look really cool.
Anyone?

ok, this zip files is meant for HDPI phones and contains the lockscreen/power button menu mod/port. ACE is MDPI and I was wondering if by any chance someone can convert or mod the files to be used with ACE. Then using metamorph we can apply it and have this cool power menu.
Sorry if I can't say it in other words but I don't have more knowledge on stuff like that.
WHAT IS EPM by the way?

It looks like it's a "Live wallpaper" and by even removing the default supplied live wallpapers, this one is not effected - it sticks.
I wish someone would make is customizable.
Any DEVs out there that wanna take this on?
i wish we could unlock the screen by waving over and then pressing anywhere on the screen
that feature was available on the note 2, saved me from pressing the home button

So has anyone at all tried removing the quick glance lwp and do an apk file PLEASE I been looking everywhere and found nothing I hope to hear from someone soon thanks.
SAME
i really want to customize this. i really want to get rid off the animation. the point of quick glance is also to preserve battery. since super amoled only lit up the pixels used. i prefer just the time and notifications light up. NO ANIMATION.

here is the APK modded glance view.apk. this is the modded version by me with all animations removed with just a simple black background. and if you want a different background. just open the .apk with 7zip or equivalent and go to /res/raw/background.png and replace it with your own imagine with identical resolution.
when you are done. go place it in /system/app
*make sure you backup your original glanceview.apk in /system/app
* restart phone right after overwriting the apk.
*phone might restart itself right after overwriting, this is normal, and it will ONLY do it once.
please only do this at your own risk.

Change Font Colour

Is there an easy way to change font colours easily? I use iFont to change font styles but really want to change font colour so it will work well with bright colour wallpaper.
No as each apk sets the don't color staticly so you would have to edit all the base files and every apk

[REQ] Softkey Buttons

Hello All,
Almost 2 years ago when I had the Galaxy Nexus someone created me softkey icons that looked 99,9% like these:
http://tinypic.com/r/b47udz/5
I've lost the file and the download link in my PM's don't work anymore.
So my question is; Is anyone good at photoshop and can possible make these icons for me? Like 5 icons total? So the three on the picture and perhaps a settings button and a button to lower the keyboard(the arrow down button)?
Hope I'm not asking to much.
Thanks for reading!

It was a little more difficult to get the notification background to change, still nothing hard (vokal changed the background to a colour reference, so I had to modify the reference to be directed to a resource, that's why even by modifing the resources the status bar didn't change).

Thank you for that I should be able to do the rest now, that was the only problem I was having with the status bar as I've already hidden the black bar on another apk so a simple copy and paste for that.
I can continue the rest now thank you, would appreciate the apk for that :good::good:
One question though.. where is the settings background kept? is it in settings.apk? I have yet to open that up
EDIT: I looked through defaultthemes.apk instead and it seems to have them in there, i'll do some graphic editing on them to see if thats it
EDIT2: Okay that was it, got it now ^^

Could some of you make it for people like me that would like to have it transparent? Thank you anyways :highfive:

Hey guays, I´ve been reading this thread and I have also tried to make my own SystemUI with transparent statusbar like in KitKat but without success (a lot of compiling errors).

This is what you should do:
- decompile SystemUI.apk
- under layout folder, find status_bar_tracking.xml and open it (I suggest you to use Notepad ++)
- now, under .CloseDragHandle, find the background attribute (android:background) and change the value to match your preferences (value is aarrbbgg - alpha, red, blue, and green)
- save and rebuild it
- now, open the modified and the untouched SystemUI.apk with WinRar (or another .zip manager)
- take from layout folder of the modified one status_bar_tracking.xml
- then, under the untouched one, replace status_bar_tracking.xml with the one you've just taken from the modified SystemUI.apk
And that's it, replace it under /system/app and the job is done
