Hi guys, I'm new hear. Before I start asking about rooting and stuff I would like to know whats the best way to know from which region my phone is from.

by region do you mean r800 i/x/at?
r800i is europe
if so go to settings/about phone and look at model number

Region, meaning if its from Europe or from somewhere. What I have though is R800i. Does that tell u something? Thanks..

he's on r800i your on Verizon also maybe software difference never sore the point of 58 or 62 to much trouble for little reward, really only need to change basebands.

Kinda makes sense. Now why would the Baseband effect whether or not people could hear me speak on my cell?

Sure you can. But it doesn't make sense you'd post this in here. This phone is running android as are 95% phones on this website. Wouldn't it be more logical to ask in the general forum or an android forum give you'll get more views and answers?
