[App] Honeycomb Music Player (needs more work)

hyy i was browsing around the galaxy tab section and found this honeycomb music player which looks pretty cool...
check it out...
The player need more work it crashes randomly and not as smooth.
im not a dev so i can't help...)

mine doesn't crash.. icon top left takes you to the list.. but doesn't crash
someone also confirm?

The same player, but maybe this one isnt buggy... I will give it a try.
Edit: I just tried it for few seconds and it seems to be free of bugs, but it still eats lot between 20-30mb of ram. The jumpertest app also gets installed but I don't know for what it could be useful

Just tested, mine crash too :/ (DocRom 9.5)
Edit : even after a reboot.
Also, moving into the song is a little bit buggy (sometime can't move backward or forward twice, screen doesn't respond), not a big deal.
Anyway, thanks for the hint nanu_x2, first impressions : look very nice!

The player seems to work fine, apart from audio skipping when trying to run in background.
I am on latest docrom js5, using wp7 theme on 200dpi.
Also running latest speedmod with all audio enhancements on.

Still buggy on JS5 doc rom I tried to open it twice and it had an instant FC. I could open it on the third try...
Maybe we need aome new lib files..

Same for me on my JS5 deodexed.

I'm on Doc JS5 and the player is very smooth, no problems so far.
I just hope that the final version comes with a couple of more features.

Test it for around 15 minutes while doimg some other tasks like installings aps or browsing rhe web. It has also some bugs and scrolling is also buggy sometimes.
The title of this thread should be changed, its not working perfectly

Testing help required!

Hey folks, I've had a report from the Play Store that my app is crashing on Glides, but I can't get a log from the users. If any of you would be so good to test out the function and see if you have issues, and then grab me a log of the crash, I would be really grateful.. Will increase your thanks meter of course.
My app thread is here and the latest release is in post #3
When the app opens there is the option at the top to go to Android TTS settings. Apparently, clicking on this causes a crash.

Thank you If root is detected, su access is requested for advanced functions. Full busybox commands by voice are in the making!

I downloaded the one from the appstore and that one is working well as well. Got it to learn my name and tell me the time and toggle WIFI on and off. Working fine so far. Yes it does ask for SU. No crashes so far. Is the beta any different?

No problems here. Runs smoothly and recognizes commands.
Running stock rooted.

Tested it on a used Glide I just bought and haven't had time to root yet. Running stock 2.3.5 that was factory reset a couple of days ago. No problems accessing any menu or sub-menu item. Guess I just haven't had time to put enough crap on it to make it unstable.

Thanks guys, it's appreciated - strange that the crash can't be replicated - there must be some other issues on the devices that are having problems.
The beta release is still a while away and will contain many more advanced features for full device control by voice. It's strange bug reports like this that slow me down! At least I can move on from this one now.

1 one feature I would love to see is the ability to add something in the calendar via voice. I hear Siri can do that and would love to see that on Android.

This feature is working well on my test devices - it'll make an appearance in a couple of releases time, after I've had chance to test it on multiple users calendars and multiple calendar apps.

Ok I just tested my theory. With Pico TTS uninstalled it tries to open settings, which freezes and FCs, and it dumps you right back in your app. Your app does not crash. Honestly if this is the bug, I'd say it's user error and not your fault.

Good work Thank you. I assume the crash also may extend to the Pico engine (or perhaps any other) having installation corruption of some kind.

[HOW-TO]A way to solve the HW video playback problem of 4.3+

I am not good at English and I hope to express correctly.
Some people may suffering from HW video playback problem after upgrade GN to 4.3+.
Such as stutter or lag playing 720p+ videos with MX Player using HW+ decoder.

I didn't have any problem with that and I thought someone must have figured it out.
But recently I tried to replace vendor files with 4.3 version(previously 4.2.2 version) and the issue occured .
Therefore I did some test and finally find the file causes the problem: /system/vendor/firmware/ducati-m3.bin.
Replace it with old version(example : https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=6E3D1F5C3B498D95!183&authkey=!AFiMOUXtt430Nrc&ithint=file,.bin) and it will be the same as 4.2.2.
BTW, GN with no ram modification in kernel is able to support AVC [email protected] .Please consult http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.264/MPEG-4_AVC#Levels

sorry, I found that I got a typo in the script file, so I remove the attachment.

h/w+ seems to work now. thanks a lot! h/w is not fixed for me though.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4, and I have the same problem with MX Player after upgrading to 4.3. Will this fix work on the S4 as well? I looked in /system/vendor and I do not see a ducati-m3 file there to begin with.

im pretty sure this driver is specific to the galaxy nexus/omap devices, so sorry bro i dont think it will work on ya beast of an s4 :|

does anybody still have H/W playback problems after applying the recent fix? H/W+ works great for everything i throw at mx player. but H/W is still broken, a bit less laggy now, but far from fixed.

I guess YouTube doesn't like the Note 4. A few threads on it in the general and Q&A section. Think like 10 steps to get it to work. LoL. Guess we need to ***** to them.

Also make sure you delete any other previous Youtube stuff installed
*Reboot/Install ... Enjoy ....

Went through some debugging and to be more precise, the Xposed conflicting module is:
YourTube
YouTube AdAway seem work just fine and so does YouTubeAllowFullScreen HDMI.
Eventually the developer of Yourtube will update soon.

Most of Lollipops changes and design is a good refresh from what KitKat offered. Most of you may dislike it at first but personally, I'm finally glad to see changes from the old 4.0.

[7T Pro STOCK] Permissions issues

I need a bit of help on this, my phone has really weird permissions issues. For example, when I want to configure an app for the first time that tells me to go enable notification access and it sends me to the screen where you can toggle notification access for a lot of apps and you activate the access for the app in question, the app doesn't see that you turned the permission on when it is on (double checked). I'll link a YT video I made that shows the issue perfectly. (please take note that this happens on EVERY app that asks for permissions this way)
The video might be blurry due to YT taking its time to process the video in its full HD glory.

I tried resetting the phone and clearing the dalvik cache to no avail... And I don't know if its related, but both the Facebook app and the Messenger App crash really easily while doing the most mundane stuff (sending an image is often too much). They both have full permissions enabled. Weird, huh ?

I tried, it keeps asking for notification permissions and won't go forward. And it does that for other apps that rely on notifications (NotifyEdge for example).

Maybe something wrong with the European firmware. That BA at the end indicates that. Try global firmware. Either stable or beta

Wait before you continue. Do other apps that require notification access give u a hard time besides the notifyedge and bud app that i could try as well to make sure its phone not the app that has a problem
