I noticed that the WiFi calling needs to be switched on. It is defaulted to off. Has anyone had the chance to try it out?

downloading now.. i think i seen where it will automatically push and download future updates in back ground.. have you seen any performance improvements so far? (nvm about auto updated thought was going to be 7.0)

The Gallery app has been updated to the new version as well

Looks like this update includes a new version of Gallery. It is now version 3.0.16 -- I assume the same version as what is on Note7. Hope other system apps get the same update treatment.

How do you get the advanced messaging to work?

I turned it on but am not seeing the read receipts. However I can send large attachments.

I wonder if both parties need to have the same messaging app to register read receipts. Seems likely.

It actually started working this morning, but yes, both parties need to be using an enhanced messaging app.

Here is sideload from file BPH4 to CPHA . Remember if you sideload all of you data will be erase from your phone. Make sure you have backup.

No i don't play with this maybe someone else can create NONE wipe file. This one is from AT&T server.

A7 2017 Bugs After Nougat Update

Hello XDA community,
I recently updated my device's software to nougat via OTA. And I'm experiencing a number of bugs.
The first bug is about the launcher. After rearranging apps in the drawer and customizing the home screen. When I restarted my phone, the launcher reverted to its factory settings with Samsung Apps in the beginning of the drawer and the rest sorted alphabetically.
The second bug is regrading the selfie camera. Whenever I take a selfie with friends, it automatically blurs everything except the closest person's face to the camera. I searched in settings to change this, and found nothing.
This is really putting me off and I still have a guarantee so custom ROM isn't an option. I already tried updating the Samsung Apps and it didn't work. I heard that wiping data and cache from the recovery usually fixes issues like this, but I don't want to backup everything and wipe only to realize that nothing has changed. So could you confirm that to me?
Any elaboration on the problem is appreciated. Thank you.
UPD: I did reset the phone and the launcher issue seems to be solved. But the camera issue remains.

For the selfie issue, didn't you turn on the new camera feature that blurs the background?

Can you elaborate more? I can't find where to turn off that feature.

I'm not going to use Sam firmware because I still have a guarantee.
No need to extract it, just backup it using backup applications like ShareIt, Share Apps, etc....
And can you upload a screenshot of the need setting? And if possible a selfie sample? I just want to be relieved.

camera version is 7.1.48 btw...

Open firmware Finder --> Click on Add model --> Enter your model query as "DUK-L09" --> Click Ok
It will now show you in the main window as "DUK-L09" --> Select that to see the related firmware updates.
I tried to update the new firmware on my mobile and it is not allowing me with an error "unauthorized installation". Not sure why it is happening.

It doesn't appear that Firmware.Science is updating their site any longer. I'm removing the link since it's useless to us now. I'll continue to try and get the Odin files as they drop and add them to post #2 for everyone
Understanding the Firmware labels
Here's a better understanding of how these are broken down
G=Galaxy S series
975U or F etc, the model of device
SQ, FX etc = CPU and model specific
U,S,E = Update, Security, Engineering, respectively
1,2,3,4,5 etc = bootloader rev(this is important!)
A = Pie rev 1(This starts off with "A" as the build that is the initially shipped on the device. S10 series is Pie)
(If you ever see a build that contains a "Z" such as this: U5ZSBA, that means the build is part of Samsung's Official Beta program. The "Z" in this context replaces the Android Version letter which hides what OS it actually is.)
R,S,T = Year (R is 2018, S is 2019, T will be 2020)
A,B,C etc = month (January A - December L).
1 - 9 and then A - Z =build compilation. This basically means how many builds there are in a month. They start at 1 and go to Z.
So G975USQU1ASBA would be
G975-U-SQ-U-1-A-S-B-A
G975U (Galaxy S10+ Carrier version), SQ (Snapdragon), U (Update), 1 (Bootloader version), A (Build Pie), S (2019), B (February), A (Build)
**You CANNOT downgrade to a lower Bootloader. So if you are on a Bootloader 2 rom, you can not go to a Bootloader 1 rom.

I used the firmware science website to update my 975U1 to 975U1UEU1ASBA how long should it take on the starting Android screen? I dirty flashed may have to reset then flash...

They can roll them out in waves. You can try to clear cache and data in the Software Update app

It should typically not take TOO long. I would recommend a reset if you're having issues

Not if you've flashed G975U1UEU1ASBA, that is a Unlocked Firmware. G975USQU1ASBA is the Carrier version and you would get OTA (AT&T/Spr/T-Mo/AZW)

I had read that, aside from the basic security patch, they made some improvements to the fingerprint scanner (and I'll have to go look for what else, I dont remember right now)

If you've got an AT&T SIM, then there should be no issues at all. You will get the AT&T bloat, but you can disable it and you will also get the "features" like Wi-Fi calling...

I cant update it from settings auto fotaservice and also manually download the fota update from the link, rename and reboot. It showed up but when I try to install it still says update failed.

What version is your current rom and are you trying the smaller incremental update?
Also, regarding your device not updating via settings, is your device a tencent version converted to WW?

Sorry sir. Im a noob. How do I know my rom? Current version is WW_Phone-17.0240.2004.9
I downloaded the fota update 158mb. Regarding my device at the back of it says republic of gamers not tencent games. I dont know if its converted or not.
Anddd me uprade android 9 to android 10 via settings fotaservice. But for this one smaller update fotaservice doesnt work for me. This is my first time download anything firmware related because ASUS software update keep showing up on my noti but I cant update it.

Strange, it doesn't sound like you have a converted phone so OTA in settings should work. Maybe the new version isn't released yet in your country. I've checked on the global website and it's not available yet. Another reason could be that the previous owner unlocked the bootloader and rooted it. If it's still rooted the smaller OTA would most likely fail. You need to flash the full rom.
So, are you rooted - you can check your apps for magisk manager.
Also, did you buy the phone second hand?

There was a bug in Armory Crate wherein if you have a 3rd party launcher as your default launcher, then while in Armory Crate if you press back button it would always ask you to select your default launcher. That has been fixed.

Oh ok. Not sure why the smaller incremental update is failing. I always just use the full rom version. It's in the link on 1st post

I thought they finally support gestures for third party launchers

Anyone find that the brightness is dimmer for this version? I were in outdoor under sunlight which can't see the screen even it is in max brightness.

Same thing happens to me, just turn off auto download via wifi on FOTAService setting and then reboot with full update file in its place
