No, even stock/OTA ROMs have bugs. Nothing in life is perfect. If you'd like to know about a particular ROM, I suggest you thoroughly read the OP and comments of people who have already tried it.

Couldn't find a thread for this.. is there a way to get different ones that work for jellybean? Using pacman ROM and there's no setting for aokp, cm10 and none on the market I can find. Sure others would like too.

i am looking at the pacman rom. i am good with computers and phones. i have read the pacman rom page many MANY times over. the instructions say "extract the kernel from the rom and flash it" only problem i see... i can't find the kernel in the rom folder... this will be my first rom flash, so maybe i am missing something i just don't understand. i would post this in the pacman thread, but xda won't let me yet because i am new to this site. any help will be much appreciated!!!
The Kernel packaged with the pacman ROM is old and not good for battery life, I am using SuperSick right now and it's great.

I just downloaded the pacman ROM a few days ago and used the included kernel, although it actually installs itself in the process anyway, but so far I have gotten over 16hours on a full charge and it wasn't even below 20%, I would recommend using it exactly as it comes

Has anyone tried to use the app to flash kernels? Don't think the device is listed but wanted to know if it would work. Thanks
You could be our beta tester lol. As long as all it does is flash the boot IMG it shouldn't mess anything up.

I would not risk it
u mess the kernel ur phone is ****ed
Sent from my One V using xda premium
Shouldn't be too bad. All you have to do is reboot into fast boot and flash a kernel to fix. But use caution always, no matter what you do to your phone.

Tried this but the app says it's not made for the one v and doesn't let you do anything, so no go sorry

Hi, you must be new..... This question has been asked before under the General thread. You are posting in Apps and Themes. Forum Mod should remove this post and move it to the General area (Though, again, it's been asked before)
My bad sorry about that

backup and.flash. try.for.yourself . every device is different
if you dont care about versions. i would go 4.1.2 stock . there are alots.to.choose .

Mysterious AOKP has been my choice for 2 months, but like others have said, flash and try them out, but always nandriod! first!
Jedi Mind Trick, best working, stable Rom for sgh-t989, I tried almost every Rom... The only one where everything works at it's best, without further complications or random freezes...

There is no "best" ROM. All of them come with their own unique set of features and functionality. Try them all out and see what you like But for me personally, my current favorite right now is CM10.2

My favorite us Liquid Smooth. But, CM10.2 is 4.3 and from what I've been reading the camera is fixed. I just like all the options that come with Liquid.
