Introducing MROM-Vivow. Custom ROM for the HTCI2
This is my attempt to build a stable, complete, and fully functional custom ROM for the HTC Incredible 2 completely built from source code; HTCI2-MROM is built on top of Cyanogen ROM latest source code. I recompiled all components to guarantee maximum efficiency and performance. Along the way, I realized that I needed things to work different for the HTCI2, so I also made some changes. If you like my work, consider a donation to my cause.
HTCI2-MROM is entirely build from source. You will see the difference when you run it. Just to list a few features:
Optimum battery life, better than any other ROM I have tested
Quick, responsive
Contains all the most common HTCI2 tweaks
MIUI Camera for a better picture experience
QuickPic gallery application
Rotating Lights
While I tried to maintain the main core small, size is not the main focus.

Awesome! Thanks for this!
Too bad its not cm9 D:
Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So, we'll hunt him, because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A Dark Knight.
Try it now, thanks
I always end up going back to CM7, just can't beat the stability and smoothness of good ol' GB.
Woah! This rom is way cool! At first I wasn't too sure about the colored interface, judging from the screenshots, but in-use it actually feels somewhat nice on the eyes.
Definitely has a different feel to it compared to the default CM7, and probably one of the better modded CM7 that I have seen.
How is the call volume on this ROM? I am hard of hearing so for me to use it would have to be loud

Hi all,
Thanks for downloading my ROM. If you need stability and reliability, try it, you will not be disappointed. The same ROM is already in use on the Motorola Atrix with great success...

Have not tested this, but you could try to remove the holo launcher system app, it should then revert to stock. Make a backup first, you might end up without a launcher.
Or you could simply add the launcher of your choice as an app...
I tried that..... no go

Try downloading a copy of adw launcher and installing it. That should work (in theory).

No, adw launcher is the stock for CM7. The stock launcher for stock GB is the stock GB launcher. Basically this, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ebproductions.android.launcher
This is basically a Moto/ICS themed/tweaked CM7. Seems very stable so far. It's a nice remix for those of us note ready to use CM9/10 as a daily driver.
Thanks
Cool. Im looking for something that is stable. Looks pretty promising.
:good::good::good:
Update: I must say this rom is really smooth. Nice one man. Keep up the awesome work. This my new daily now. Kind of fed up with ICS considering we don't have kernel sources.

I appreciate it, and yes I am here to support this ROM... looking for more people to run it, I am not getting good responses, it looks like users want un unstable ICS vs. a stable ROM that does not reboot in the middle of a phone call...

This ROM is a mish-mash of Vanilla Gingerbread & CM7, and is compiled from the latest CyanogenMod 7 sources. It will be regularly maintained with the latest commits from the CM guys, and our own VillainROM tweaks and changes. This ROM is starting to take shape, and differing from the stock CM7 build.
Anyway, before we begin - I'd like to thank the entire CyanogenMod team for the epic and consistently BRILLIANT work, for without it, this, and many other ROMs would not be possible. Well done guys - You deserve all the credit. I'd also like to thank Ninpo for his CM6.1 work, and the rest of the VillainROM developers & staff (Pulser, HomerSP, Kendon, Shen, Lenny, Acolwill, dmzda, Revoked, McDuck, etc)
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
To flash this ROM, you will NEED to have ClockworkMod 3.0 installed, which manages EXT4 partitions. If at any stage you need to revert back to a Froyo ROM, you will need to reflash /boot into CWM 2.X via Fastboot.
1. Download ClockworkMod 3.0 from here
2. Boot the phone into Fastboot mode by holding Volume Down and pressing power
3. From terminal/command prompt, type:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
OR... alternatively, just fastboot boot into CWM 2.X to revert to a Froyo backup.
4. Boot into recovery (adb reboot recovery ... or Hold camera and press power)
5. Perform a FULL DATA/CACHE WIPE (only if coming from Froyo)
6. Install Zip from SD Card, and select GingerVillain1.4-signed.zip
1.4 Known Bugs:
1. Enabling screen on/off animations and OC/UV at the same time causes lag when trying to turn the screen on. The animations work fine without overclock... so it's oone or the other right now I'm afraid.
Download links are HERE!
If you're a fan of the ROM.. thank us with a 5 star rating!
thanks will flash soon. in the meantime posting a mirror at my blog.
So you bit off Cyanogen, called it your own, and are (albeit politely) requesting donations?
I hope I'm not right.

Wow, just stop, lol. If people feel like donating for the things OUTSIDE of the CM stuff in here, then that's great. This isn't just cm7 compiled from source, labeled GingerVillain, and saying "Donate plzzzz"
Honestly, I've been using the other cm7 builds, but WOW. This build is SUPER smooth, at only 806mhz!! It's definitely going to be a keeper if it maintains this. Don't know about battery, obviously, but for anyone who has been using the other ones .. the modifications by Villain definitely make this thing fly. No DSP though, or StatusBar widgets, before people ask.

wi-fi problems?
Just flashed it. Looks great! However, when I turn on wifi to setup my Google account, restore apps, etc., it stays on for a few seconds (won't show any of the open networks in my building) then just turns off.
Also Twitter sync doesn't work (try to sync Twitter with existing contacts but it automatically switches to option back to 'Don't Sync')
Anyone else having this problem or know a solution?

I can't tell ya what ROM to run, obviously, but to me, this is leaps and bounds beyond the ones that are just direct/simply cm7 builds, as those have no real enhancements. This build, runs amazing actually. Screen shots, it's really just stock vanilla. The only thing different, is the background. Just head to the other Villain ROM (senseless) threads, and you'll see what the bg/boot animation look like.
Also comes pre-packed with GB keyboard, along with GB launcher. Smokin' fast.

Introducing MROM-d2tmo. Custom ROM for the Samsung Galaxy S III (Sprint)
Free Yourself and Feel the Difference
This is my attempt to build a stable, complete, and fully functional custom ROM for the Samsung Galaxy S III completely built from source code; MROM-d2tmo is built on top of Cyanogen ROM latest 4.2.2 (cm-10.1) source code, branched kernel, and my own blend of proprietary drivers. I recompiled all components to guarantee maximum efficiency and performance. Along the way, I realized that I needed things to work different for the d2tmo, so I also made some changes. If you like my work, consider a donation to my cause.
BUILT FROM SOURCE PROOF https://github.com/MROM. Every developer should provide proof that he is building from source.
MROM-d2tmo is entirely build from source. You will see the difference when you run it. Just to list a few features:
Entire ROM and Kernel are compiled and optimized with Linaro toolchain 4.7
Superior Performance. (User benchmarks have reported excellent performance)
Latest Kernel 3.4.x (http://www.kernel.org)
Fast Boot time
Multi-User Enabled
Excellent battery life
Contains all the most common tweaks
QuickPic gallery application
While I tried to maintain the main core small, size is not the main focus.
Few user comments:
Oleschuldad: this has been much more reliable then the other 4.2.2 roms I've flashed, no random reboots, no lags, or a2dp problems....
CQCmaster: The best Rom in terms of performance and battery life and stability.
JoeSchmoe22: I am happy to report that the BATTERY LIFE IS AMAZING!!! I am a heavy user and now my phone lasts all day! Also, the Rom is totally stable!
draco259: Maybe you need to add some bugs to get more comments
1heffer: This thing is rock solid, simple, beautiful, and FAST.
jimmur: I have tried a number of different ROM's and this one is the absolute best.
Suggestions are always welcome!!! After all, this is your ROM and I will try to include requested features when possible.

You are awesome sir. Thank you.
What governor do you recommend for your custom kernel?

Nice work been running this all day working great
New Version Posted!!!
very very smooth! so far no problems. well except for the fact that i cant create a new station on pandora but ive also had that problem on slimbean. also, minor thing, i wish the lock screen slider had more shortcuts instead of just the half circle. otherwise, really liking this rom!
Working great so far, seems nice and quick. I have small issue with Bluetooth micro-skipping in the car, but I believe this may be a CM issue. I really like the themed look that is included, and I'm able to use my Gyrospace 3d live wallpaper without lag in the launcher. Thanks for the hard work, this is a very stable, smooth, battery friendly (at least as good as other ASOP) rom.
Hmm it seems that I only have the 3g icon and not the 4g/h icon for my mobile data
enjoyiny quite much
thanks for a good piece of work:victory::victory:

Welcome to SentinelROM for Samsung Galaxy Nexus - maguro. Compiled with Linaro toolchain from modded CM10.1 source. Android 4.2.2.
With over 160,000 downloads to date, this is one of the most popular ROMs for Nexus 10, Nexus 7 Nexus 4, SGS3, SGS2, Note 2 and HTC One X, and after a month of hard work and optimisation, I am happy to release it for Galaxy Nexus.
Read what people are saying about SentinelROM.
This ROM is compiled from CyanogenMod 10.1 with all the features you get in a CM10.1 ROM, plus the following features.
Compiled with Linaro toolchain for extreme performance
Zip Aligned
LMT Pie Controls.
Compiled from latest CyanogenMod 10.1 source by me, not a 'cooked ROM'.
Improved Web Browsing performance
Improved 3D gaming performance
Amazing battery life
Additional theming and UI customisation
FAST support via this page and our Facebook Page
________________________
This ROM has been built to enhance the CyanogenMod 10.1 experience, with faster gaming and web browsing performance (no choppyness in Chrome too!).
Countless hours have been spent making tweaks to settings to squeeze the most performance I can find out of this ROM while still providing excellent battery life and without the dangers of overclocking and kernel level tweaking.
I compile this ROM and Kernel from the latest CyanogenMod source code, add my various tweaks and adjustments, then test for stability, so you get all the benefits of CyanogenMod 10.1, plus my tweaks and extras, all without the instability and inconvenience of flashing CyanogenMod nightlies (which are not designed specifically for the Nexus 4 like my ROM is.
The kernel source is available from the CyanogenMod's GitHub.
Please note that I do not own a Galaxy Nexus. This ROM is tested on my Nexus 10, compiled again from source to suit the Galaxy Nexus and tested by my lovely tester team, then released for you to enjoy. Therefore I ask that you please report any issues you come across in this thread so I can do my best to sort them out ASAP.

Boot Animation is broken and only shows the first few frames, then a black screen. This will be fixed in the next build. Device still boots as normal
Note: On CM10.1 ROMs, to access the internal SD card on your device via USB on your PC, please go to "Settings" - "About Tablet" and tap on "Build Number" repeatedly to unlock "Developer Options". Now go to "Developer Options" and enable "Android Debugging".
________________________
If installing for the first time:
To install this ROM you will need to have an unlocked bootloader and a custom Recovery such as TWRP or ClockWorkMod installed (personally I recommend TWRP, I have had issues with restoring backups using CWM).
Copy the downloaded SentinelROM zip to your Internal Storage.
Boot into your custom recovery
Back up your stock ROM
Factory Reset and wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache
Wipe system partition
Install the ROM
Install GAPPS package
Reboot - First boot may take up to 5 minutes
Important: After installation you will be asked if you want to turn on CyanogenMod Statistics, please leave it off as this is an unofficial/modified build.
Note: Use of titanium backup to restore apps and data from another ROM is not recommended, and is the source of 90% of user issues, especially when it comes to battery life. Do so at your own risk.
You may flash other kernels as you wish via recovery. Remember to also flash the correct libraries for any 3rd party kernels. Instructions will be given by the Kernel author. NOTE: Updating the ROM via OTA will also overwrite any custom Kernels you have installed.

A huge thanks to my Nexus 4 testing crew! You guys make this ROM possible! In particular Max, Vangelis13 and yyz71
Thanks very much to all those who have answered my questions through the process of creating my own ROM, you know who you are.
CyanogenMod for their outstanding work. Full credit to them for the bulk of this ROM.
OTA-UpdateCenter.pro for their OTA database support and OTA Updater app source.

Looks great , for sure will giv it a try thx for new rom !
I'm particularly keen to hear how the camera is going as it seems to be the one thing people are having a few issues with on some other Samsung devices.

Fair call. It's always a bit hard to break the ice on a new device. Especially an older one as people are more set in their ways.
If you're interested in reading what some users are saying on other devices, check out this link
There's always the Facebook page too which is full of feedback.

Not at this stage. But I'm always on the look out for additional devices to add. I have to be careful though, because if I bite off more than I can chew, I'll end up not being able to offer good support. It's hard to get the balance right sometimes.
STANDARD DISCLAIMER:
The rom has been compiled from sources available from SlimBean, TF300T CM10.2
All credit for the ROM is the SlimBean team alone. See credits sections as well.
DONT BLAME me if anything goes wrong with the device after flashing this ROM...

FAQ
Q. Titanium Backup is not restoring apps.
A. Set your backup dir for Titanium Backup as ::
storage/emulated/legacy/TitaniumBackup
After setting backup dir, System will prompt to move your backups from previous dir to new correct one.
Then proceed with restoring backups.

I've been away at a destination wedding and just saw this and will flash tomorrow. Thanks for posting this. FWIW, Slim 4.3 on my GS3 is already better in performance and battery than 4.2.2, so I can't wait for this.
How can I set the browser to always be in desktop mode?

With stock browser, its not possible. Each time you need to select the desktop version by clicking okn 3dot menu.
If you use 3rd party browsers, its possible. For ex- Opera

"DONT BLAME me if anything goes wrong with the device after flashing this ROM..."
then I WONT FLASH it. No actual screenshots of the rom, only some from a mobile phone version, come on man, you can do better than this
actually there is a screenshot of a nexus 7. which is pretty much not a mobile phone.
Why should he post screenshots of slimbean rom running on a tf300t? it looks almost the same on every single device.
he used the official slimbean banner.
I don't see your point at all.

I will only say this ::
If you decide whether to flash a rom by checking the disclaimer portion, then iam afraid you have registered in the wrong forum buddy.
As per my understanding, XDA is a forum for devs and those "users" who are willing to learn and share help the devs with their bug reports , share ideas etc.
You should remain with stock that your manufacturer stick it up to you.
Peace.

YES, you are correct. The link is not working.
Below is the new link for gapps but its for beta3
http://slimroms.net/index.php/downloads/dlsearch/viewdownload/908-addons4-3/4972-slim-minimal-gapps-4-3-build-beta-3
You can use any 4.3 gapps infact, the only benefit of slim gapps is that you get TRDS with those.
