CRT-Anim.zip Needed

does anyone have or know any flashable zip to get the CRT-Animations?? im on Blazer Rom but it doesnt come with it...any help will be appreciated...thanks

did you change more than just the services.jar ... would that file be exchangeable between carriers? I made a flashbacks of just that file edited and it alone gave the CRT ... as per the link you sent me...

I cannot use because it has a modified framework-res and mine already has two mods.. one to allow stock wifi tethering to work and one for the cell standby reporting issue. Any chance to roll all 3 together?

you made an assumption of what's included in the framework. all of that should already included.

I have a question.
Sometime (about 1 in 3), after the animation completes, the screen comes back on really quick, then turns off.
I can't pinpoint exactly when it will happen, but I think it has something to do with when the phone is doing an animation.
I installed the zip on a stock deodexed rom. ATT
Any ideas?

[Mods][4.1.2] Regulus Playground (CRT Off...)

This is a Random thread for random mods that I am making for the Note 2. I like the features that some Roms have and would like to add them to others so I am making those mods freely available to everyone. This Thread will feature things like CRT off Animation and Camera Mods and anything else I get working on this device. Stay tuned for more updates.

Please PLEASE PLEASE give us the ability to map the hardware keys and their long presses! I will gladly donate for this. (I know this feature is already available on custom roms, but I don't want to install a custom rom)

It's just an animation when the screen turns off that is nostalgic to anyone who had a TV that did it in the past. I like it.

Did not work for me on Jedi 6.1. Flashed with no problem, wiped dalvik, rebooted. No effect. Did this twice.

[MOD][UVDLJA] Long press volume to skip track

ALL CREDIT FOR THIS AWESOME MOD GO TO LOSERSKATER AND HIS WORK HERE
This is a must have feature for me. Took me a few days of googling and failures to finally get it right. Unlike the other long press to skip mods in some of the ROMs here, this mod works flawlessly with every music player I've tested it on.
So I'm just gonna post the android.policy.jar and if someone wants to make a flashable zip I'll add it to the OP.
This will work on any UVDLJA 4.1.1 tmo based ROM and does have the reboot options also.
Use root explorer and put it in system/framework overwriting the original, then set permissions the same as the other files. Reboot. Enjoy.

I followed the instruction but got a boot loop afterward but luckily I did a nandroid right before doing it. I placed the file in framework and changed the permission and reboot. What am I doing wrong? Currently rocking wicked v5

Well. I tested it on stock T-Mobile 4.1.1. I suppose there's a chance it might not work on a crazy modded custom ROM. Assuming wicked is based on our 4.1.1 build.
And yes, make sure you do a nandroid before doing anything like this to your phone.

Is it 4.1.1? I won't say it'll work on all uvdlja ROMs, but it should. Follow my directions and set the correct permissions.

Completly crashed darthstalker v8. Had to nandroid restore. I really want this mod bad lol. I also tried in wicked latest and it crashed that too. Ahhh.

It worked without issue for me on wicked jb v6. Did you set the permissions for the file? Fyi it will get rid of the ink feature though.

Looking at the features of that ROM he's done a lot in android.policy.jar stuff
If he gets in touch with me I'll give him the 2 edited smali files so he can just add it to his rom

Is it possible that you can make a stock odex rom with a few features like hotspot and so on with this music skip mod that i need bad lol. Ill use that rom over any here. And hypothetically if you do make a rom and do end up removing bloat and you make a flashable zip for the bloat you remove? Another mans bloat is another mans necessity. Lol

Honestly smali and XML hacking aren't really my thing. I just really need long press volume to skip when I run stock over AOKP and none of the ROMs that have it worked with spotify. So I spent several hours a day for I won't tell you how long trying to figure it out.

[FLASHABLE ZIP] AOSP Lockscreen for FrostyJB 11.6

Hi all, I made a flashable zip to toggle between the AOSP Jellybean lockscreen and the stock TW lockscreen following this guide. This mod required some smali edits to the settings apk, which is about 18MB, and I don't know of a way to do this mod without pushing that entire recompiled apk back into the system directory. I have a zip for FrostyJB, stock UVDLJC, and KTMDave's Stock Slim rom.
You can't change what shows up on the AOSP lockscreen, but it does display music controls.
Please, please, PLEASE make a nandroid just in case something goes horribly wrong. I am not responsible for any damage this does to your phone.
Wipe cache and dalvik before booting!
AOSP Lockscreen FROSTYJB 11.6
AOSP Lockscreen UVDLJC STOCK
AOSP Lockscreen UVDLJC SLIM

I tried to do this twice today and the settings kept crashing on me. I'll have to try again later when I'm not as busy.

Cool. Thanks dude. Yeah I actually pulled the policy jar and secsettings.apk from CSROM and it worked fine. The only problem is that their settings apk is modded a bit.

I made one for the stock UVDLJC and I'll get this one done today also. I found that the problem I was having with this was that the permissions weren't set correctly, so I fixed that in the zip script. Links to follow...

screen freeze
After about 30 minutes of use my screen freezes up and I have to do soft reset. Is there a fix for this or am doing something wrong....using frosty 11.6 kernel xone

AOSP Camera

What ever happen to the AOSP camera with special video effects like making your eyes big and ect ? It was my favorite alternative camera and now I can't find a rom with it at all.

Right! That's all I want really, if they can port a aosp camera with photosphere and all that why can't we have the one with the effects on it? That was my favorite camera to use and I have no idea on getting it to touchwiz because I don't want to go to aosp at all.

i have the flashable ROM zip saved on my computer. do you want it? maybe I can extract the camera and gallery from it and put it into a flashable zip file
