Is there an app for nav bar - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Trying to figure out how to get search button and menu button on rom doesn't have it built in to settings like many do is this possible or something like it

If you're rooted there are nav bar variants you can flash, for instance, I'm running one with menu button dedicated at the bottom left

At the bottom of the first post there are zips for different nav bar combos, i believe that's what i use and it also includes both the search and menu buttons you want. If you flash it, thank the dev

Quick controls for the Launcher

I'm using AOKP and would to disable the navigation buttons at the bottom. Thing is, the only way to navigate without them, is using the shortcuts in the power menu :-/
I remember seeing a mod that gave us quick controls(the same kind seen in the browser) but for use as a navigation radial in the homescreen. I can't find the mod anywhere though, so was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction?
Thanks

[REQ] JB 4.1 Lock Button on Home Button

Since in JellyBean android 4.1 google now utilizes the home button when long-pressed and displays a google search shortcut, why not utilize this even further by adding a shortcut option to the left and right.. one being a Lock Screen shortcut. I bet this will be implemented in a rom in the future.
Well, you don't have to long press...just slide up on the navbar and it should come up. That would be really cool though for someone to do that. I'm sure once its in AOSP, it'll be implemented into roms.

Any more than just a tap triggers this... and I imagine it will be built into the CM10/new AOKP/other JB roms over time. I'd really like to put a voice search button down there to save the screen space from having it in a search bar.
Bump!

I would be interested in this as well. I would like to be able to double tap the home button to launch an app.
Bump.
It would be nice if someone could add some apps on hold home button softkey or add camera on left, lock on right and search on up.

[Q] Is there a way to disable the softkeys all together?

I am on the paranoidandroid rom and was wondering if i could disable the softkeys completely and rely on the on screen nav bar

First off just a correction ...
softkeys are "Software Keys" so the "On Screen" keys are soft keys .....
As far as disabling the Hardware keys, there used to be an app that let you disable buttons, but not sure if it works on the sgs2 ....
I'll look around for one, thanks

I was wondering the same thing earlier... if your using nova launcher hold down on the home screen and select shortcuts then activities then select Galaxy sII settings. Then just dissable key backlight.
Hope that helps
Edit - after re-reading what you wrote I realized you meant how to completely dissable them. I'm not really sure how you would do that. Well, good luck

Navigation button solutions?

I'm looking for the best solution for navigation buttons, so that I can remove my navigation buttons from the bottom of the screen and regain that screen space. What is everyone using to replace the navigation buttons? I know there is LMT, with the pie interface, but I was wondering if there was a better option.
I was thinking, is there a way to use the same gesture to swipe from the bottom that is used for google now, is it possible to put custom actions buttons alongside google now in that area? I hadn't seen it on any roms yet, but wasn't for sure. It seems like that would be a perfect place to put home, back, and recent actions.
Lol if you didn't like the on screen buttons why did u get a galaxy nexus

Because its a great device. I have no problem with them, but if there's a better solution, it would be nice to use it.
Anyone have any useful contributions?
Lmt and button savior are the only options. I prefer lmt. We could write a new app to do what you want, but it would be a major project.
After trying both, I think I prefer LMT as well. Maybe in the future we will see a mod to the Google Now shortcut, similar to how custom lock screen targets are done now.

Probably for the ability to do things just like this.
What kind of question is that?

Full screen with gestures

Hi guys!
I have a question. And i'm sure someone can tell me if it's possible or available.
I know we can get mods to have a fullscreen possibility. But is it possible to hide/show the softbuttons by using gestures? For example: swipe up to show. Swipe down to hide?
Hope someone can give me an answer.
Thanks!

I think the cm team is working on a similar function, long press power and select full screen to show/hide soft buttons and notification bar.
Swype'ed on my CM10 Galaxy Nexus
It would actually be awesome to swype in to show the soft buttons and swype out to hide them
Yeah thats what i thought too! If i had the knowledge to build it. I did!
