When I record anything in 1080p, the playback is only a black screen, I can hear all the sounds, there is just no video. I tried it with 720 and there was no problem. When I rotate the screen, you can actually see the video for a split second during the rotation, but then it goes back to the black screen.
Edit: Just tried MX Player to see if that would work, same problem.
Edit: Problem solved, don't know why I didn't think of it. Wiped the cache in recovery and the problem seemed to go away.

Hi, After upgrading my Wifi only tablet to 4.4.2 sometimes the video fullscreen just shows black screen. I hear sound but no video and occasionally there are some pictures flickering very fast but still unwatchable. I usually just reboot my tablet and thing seems to be sorted out. It happens pretty often.
Does anybody know what the issue and how to fix it for good?
Thanks
I noticed it just yesterday that when i played a video on VLC on my g4, when i touched the screen to pause or do other things, the screen doesnt pop up and my touch wasnt recognized by VLC. And the only solution were the soft keys. When i went back, everything was fine. But when i play a video, the video plays normally but the touch wont work on the video. The same is happening with the system video app. And even in camera my touch arent recognized, like when i touch an object to focus, it isnt recognized. My G4 is rooted. I dont know whats wrong with it. Anyone has any idea?
When I'm in fullscreen/landscape, YouTube videos will sometimes play a black screen with audio only, forcing to me to exit fullscreen/landscape mode to trigger the video to play. Is this happening to anyone else? I have YouTube Red and usually have a Bluetooth audio and mouse connected when this happens.
I get this too and haven't figured out a way to fix it. When viewing stats for nerds, it reports a resolution of 0x1440 which I believe is the culprit. Switching orientation or minimizing video then remaximizing solves it. This only seems to happen when a video is launched while in landscape mode. Only happens with YouTube videos.
It also happened to me and I fixed it just clearing the data from YouTube app.
