[q] unroot problem

Dear All Gurus,
I have problem with HTC desire, where it auto reboot.. i need to send back for warranty... but i have rooted and flash with MIUI Rom...
I tried to download the RUU and run it but unfortunately i got an error messasge
ERROR(131): CID ERROR
What can i do ?? Please help out.

You're using the wrong ruu. Was your phone branded when you bought it?
You need to run the right, branded ruu (or a gold card, but because you want to send it in, that's not an option).

You are using the wrong ruu. Find out fitting ruu with the name of your provider in the ruu's name:

CID error means goldcard needed.

1st if all,how to identify the HTC is from where?? Regional?? Thru p/n ??
I got this HTC from frenz as present...then i didn't check the original version.I just rooted it.
At the back..I can't find local distributor sticker?? Suspect overseas set

Assuming that you have an unbranded Desire, try to run this RUU:
RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.5_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_159811_signed.exe
Its on >>Shipped Roms<< , 7th from top.
Dont use a gold card - it allows you to flash a unbranded rom on a branded handset, but because you want to send it in for warranty, you shouldn't do this.

Sorry bro, i havent try yet.. i just able to download the RUU Rom.
My fren help me to check my HTC Desire thru S/N, found out this set is from British... it is under EUROPE ??

Chances are that 2.29.405.5 RUU will work fine then

What do you mean? In the UK we have:
T-Mobile
3
o2
Vodafone
Orange

do fastboot oem boot then post your cid of the phone then we will know your branding and so can direct you to the correct ruu

But I do love desire too much...miss my desire...
Desire HD can be root? Same procedure as desire?? Would like to try MIUI ROM

Could anyone please help me to unbrand(WWE) this phone in unrooted way.

You were told what to do. Now dig in and take a few hours and read and you will be fine.

How do you unroot with the advanced ace hack kit and get the correct cid? Because it say it will be cid HTC_001

To install a unbranded RUU you need to root your phone through Ace Advance Hack Kit. Its a single click and easiest root option. You will find all the directions in the kit must read the effen manual and download the latest Ace Advance Hack Kit

But can you change the Rom you restore with S-ON to HTC_WWE_SENSE3.0 from shipped Roms

I have a WWE version with all the languages supported to choose!
Just flash it in bootloader and your rom is stock, only still S-off.
I don't know you you can get that back S-on without using AAHK.
I didn't used the 0 option from AAHK, because that one has the wrong CID, I'm dutch and the Benelux CID is HTC__E11, not HTC_001.
With back to stock through the AAHK WWE option, I only have english and some other languages to choose, not all WWE languages :/

No s-off unless it is One XL...there is no s-off for the tegra 3 international version yet

you can s-off only if htc or the store you bought the device from do it for you I mean private stores not vodaphone etc..
there is still no way you can do that by your self at home
my hox was back from a fix at store s-off and super cid there was at the store I bought my hox from htc technican so he s-off and super cid my device without even asking me
but that for good

why you need to s-off and super cid anyway ?

Well, i want to enter cid HTC_203 to my phone, to install an official HTC Rom.
Is it the wright method ?

Sorry Pilazama, I have Desire 728 non G version. It's a media tek processor
I have tried to flash RUU but I need to do S OFF. I FOUND the rom in some Chinese website.
Can anyone help me to turn S off so I could restore back to stock..
If it isn't possible, can anyone help me to get twrp image if this bloody phone.
