Wait .... coffee yes... not busy
1. Let your phone go dead (Power and volume up +) or lights reset on and screen on to off phone > ok, pess power not run phone > ok. (can take about 3 to 10 hours, could be more depending on your battery level).
2. Test recharge your phone - You should get the normal charging red light always on (not ok red light on 10s off /on but red light on 10s off /on wait phone dead for time ok ). Wait Test 1-2 minute > no recharging.
3. Run Flashtool roms 2.3.7 - 0.72 > check next > ok > to need press capble.
4. Press capble with phone recharing on Computer (PC-Noterbook)
5. Wait 15-20 minute auto flash roms finish > ok > run phone and recharing. Phone run nomal.
Good jod.

You got a softbrick device now. Go read the 'recovery from softbrick steps' thread in general forum.

Thank you for replying to my issue. I looked at the steps that you were talking about "softbrick recovery steps"
All those steps need the phone eather on or in recovery mode etc. As of right now my Ion is charging and as soon as it gets 10-15 min charge it turns on and starts looping shows the sony logo then restarts and again........ it does not power on from the botton it only turns on by itself, the botton is fine because the only way i can turn the phone off is by holding the vor+ and power btn, i tryed puting the phone into flashmode by holding the vol- and pluging it to pc. Thank you
When it starts looping like that you can try to get it to flash mode. Hold the power and volume up just long enough for it to shut off and as soon as it does let go of power and hold volume down. You should then be able to get it to flash mode.
solved the issue

Is it hard-bricked (after flash attemp)?
With the recent ICS ROM release, I followed the posted instructions with my noob attempt at flashing ICS for the lt28i (not att). I got ICS on but after flashing GB 6.0.F.0.111 Firmware (the baseband only), the phone showed Sony logo a few times and went to a greyish screen (like it is still on?). The USB connection no longer works and I couldn't charge or force shutdown (power+volume up). So it is hard-bricked?
Try to hard reset your phone -power and volume up -hold until it vibrates. Then try to shut the phone and put into flash mode - volume down first and then usb

That was one of the first thing I tried, no respond no matter how long I held it.
Try another cable first. Then see if you can get out back in flash mode.

1. Press and hold both the volume up key and the power key for five seconds.
2. After your phone vibrates once, release the keys. The phone restarts automatically.

I think he's said he tried this and got no response from his phone. Based on that I'm guessing his phone is dead and can't get it to charge. Perhaps the cable is bad, it happens, at least you can rule it out.

I detailed it out to help differentiate between a restart and a forced shutdown.

Hard reset/force shutdown didn't work for me
I tried to recharge the battery with a wall charger, and the screen powered off in around an hour and the red led turned on after another hour or so.
But the phone now couldn't power on and still not responding to USB connection or hard reset (the red led is still on whenever I plug in the charger or an USB port though)
EDIT: I got some respond, the phone now powered on by itself and keep on resetting at the Sony logo (stuck in bootloader?).
When I plugged it into the charger, didn't get the red led like usual, but when I plugged it into the USB port, the pc tried to detect the phone, but couldn't since the phone kept resetting.
Got some vibration for trying to hard reset (1) and force shutdown (3), but those didn't work as the phone powered on and reset by itself
I know it's not much help at this point but weren't you supposed to not flash the ics baseband and leave that gb file there? It sounds like your just stuck in a boot loop (soft brick) so something should get you back to working. Just be careful what instructions you follow next.
Sent from my LT28at
My wild guess you flash with a low battery (or when the boot loop happened, it killed the battery). I don't think the phone can turn on by itself without a human touch. Reading your post - look like there was an error while you flash baseband. My suggestion:
1. If you still see the Sony logo, hold volumn up then hold power button until you fell the vibration. The phone will shutoff. Or if the phone off (black screen) - plugin the wall let it charge for at least 2 hrs. Don't do anything with the phone.
2. Reflash LT28i firmware, run flashtool on your computer (keep all wipes checked) until it ask for 'turn off phone and put in flashmode. Then hold down volumn down plugin the USB. This should revise your phone back to GB. After done, unplug and turn it on. You can setup anything you want or do it later. Make sure charge the phone again if battery is under 50%.
3. Flash ICS LT28h, run flashtool - uncheck all wipes and check 'exclude baseband'. Until it ask for phone in flashmode. Turn off phone, hold down volumn down plugin the usb. This should flash ICS to your phone. Unplug turn on and setup if you haven't done so.
Good luck.

Got the phone to stay in flash mode instead of reboot after constantly trying to put it into flashmode.
Got ICS but back to the initial LTE issue which messed it up in the first place.
Thanks for all the advices.

The LTE issue is because you didn't read. Get a generic GB and use flash tool. Dont wipe, uncheck all the "Exclude" boxes EXCEPT exclude baseband. Flash and restart.
"Flash the Gingerbread 6.0.F.0.111 Firmware excluding everything except baseband and do not wipe data. This will give you ICS with LTE."

I like a newb wiped and got a fatal error. I am going through the steps posted but am thinking I may have just bricked this thing. Not sure what to try from here as I am not getting much response from my device at all.

That was the guide I followed actually.
At my second attempt (all unchecked except baseband), the phone powered on but got a lot of 'Sorry!' messages as some of the processes failed.
When I checked the phone stat, it went back to GB lt28i.
@zackspeed
try to charge the phone for a few hours and see if the red led turn on (at least that what I did to get some responds from my phone)
So I also had the phone come back to the Sony splash loop on its own. Will the phone continue to charge while its doing that??? I have a red light again and now just playing the waiting game I guess.

The reason why i don't want to do it because if i did it my phone will be cheaper because it will called "Fixed Phone".
Now i got the first logo again while it's connected to the PC , i tried to press VOL- but flashtool didn't detect it and came dead again.
Maybe the next time i can get into recovery , but what can i do?

Edit 3: By removing the sim card the phone turned off. Now back to the first stage with only red led and after long time connecting to PC it show Sony logo then reboot.

I think: you should turn off but when it trying turning off it goes brick, get stuck... i dont know you have to turn off manual ( with disassemble) and connenct usb and vol up because now it cannot be in fastboot or flash mode. or you should leave it to full discharge than it will turn off but it may take several weeks.

No problem , thank you for trying help.
Charging for 10 hours , only red led.
while on a loop, press the volume down button and connect it to the PC. If it doesn't work, press power+vol up till it vibrates once keeping the vol down button pressed as well. if it goes into flashmode, forget everything and flash stock ftf.
on a red led situation, hold the vol down and connect it to PC. It will show no led but keep holding it for long, it will go into flashmode

I tried that to make it restart with one vibrate but no flashmode , i will try it again with holding the VOL- before i do the vibrate.
For the led when i connect it to the PC holding VOL- the red led apear , why?
**** **** **** **** **** **** me , whn it start the rebooting i pressed the VOL+ and = and the power bottom and it start to connect and dis connect again on MTP debugging off mode and after a while i got the green led and flash mode but the ftf waz compressed and while it's extracting the green led gone....
Fixed!!!!
This is small guide what to do:
1- Charge your phone with PC or wall charger until you get a stable red led (Stable led not flashing led) maybe that will take hours.
2- Now connect your phone to the PC , you will find the red led back again.
3- The idea now is that your phone will auto start after some time , you need to be holding the VOL- bottom before it start up that you can get a green led and you can flash the rom with flashtool.
Some times it got start up after like 4 minuits after you connect it to PC , and other times maybe it will take like 20 minuits to start. So you have to hold the VOL- bottom almost the time and there is no problem if you let the bottom for some seconds , but be carefull that it will suddenly boot up so you have to be holding the bottom.
If you success with rom flashing , connect your phone to the charger and wait until it will start first time and get dead , then start again normaly
Charge ur phone with wall charger (its faster than pc) until u get green led. After that, hold Vol - and connect the phone to pc.

Ok, first let the phone plugged into the wall outlet, not through usb. Let it charge at least 48 hours. After that, flash again the ROM. You should have enough battery for the flashing to go through without any problems.
P.S. While the phone is charging do not press any buttons. Do not try to power it on, just let it be.

I was able to flash my device. Flashing finished succeed but phone still won't to turn on :/
edit:
device had too low energy to turn on. now everything is ok. this is quote which helped me:
~ If you get bootloops, try to flash between loops. As soon as you notice loop, hold volume down and plug the phone into PC with FlashTool ready. Once the loop starts you have very little time to flash, before the loops drain the battery. If you can not flash, the battery will have to die and phone reset. Then start over with red led.

I think your issue is similar to mine.
My phone got frozen while I was reading facebook news. Battery was about 60%. I turned it off, but it doesn't turn on again. It just quickly splashes the "ASUS In search of Incredible/ Powered by Android" and then goes off again.
I tried to get to Recovery Mode by holding volume UP and power buttons, but it didn't even get to the point the device vibrates. I tried the same with volume DOWN as well. No good.
The charging battery icon shows battery is being charged ok.
Is it dead for good? @Asus_USA @ASUS_Khang
Thanks

I don't think it's dead because it's charging okay. To get into Recovery Mode even I have some trouble sometimes. It IS Vol Up+Power, and you need to hold both as you power up the device. It should get into your recovery where you just need to let go of the Power button.

Hi,
after running a rooted Kitkat for a year or so I thought I wanted to install CM12.1. So I wiped and flashed via CWM Recovery and also flashed some GApps (probably the wrong one). After flashing (with confirmation that everything was successful), I wanted to reboot but after clicking on reboot, the screen just went black. Waiting for 5 mins, nothing changed.
Pushing the Power-On button lets the phone vibrate once, that's it. Pushing Vol+ or Vol- together with Power-On does not change anything. Connecting a charger to the phone, let the red LED flash once.
What can I do to revive my phone....?
Suggestions or hints are greatly appreciated

Try holding power and volume up together for 8-10 seconds, just to make Sir it's totally powered off, then connect the charger and see if it starts charging. Older batteries don't do well in this phone. It wseems to me you might have had the sudden-battety-drain phenomenon when you flashed.
