Hybrid mode is the heart and soul of paranoidandroid. Forget tablet mode or build.prop changes! Hybrid mode will not break your phone, your apps, your market, nothing will shrink or become unusable. Entire parts of AOSP have been rewritten to make this possible, you will not get anything like it anywhere, this is the only rom on Android capable of these things.
Hybrid mode means you can control the size and the actual layout of any app individually. Keep in mind, apps bring their own layouts, they will display according to your device. That’s why apps like gmail, settings, youtube, camera, chrome, etc., transform completely when you run them on a tablet. This rom allows you to choose whatever layout you like best, we don’t fool around with DPI, we extract the actual layouts from your apk’s and you select them with a tap. Apply and you’re done. No reboot necessary. You can target anything: apps, system components, widgets, launchers, keyboards, statusbars, lockscreen, etc.
Finetune your workspace or apply hybrid settings to all your apps if you don’t like to set them up individually. Individual settings will still override this so you can still get the look you want.
For ease of use you can access hybrid properties in your recents view, this will allow you to quickly review changes. Basic things like recents, toggles, etc. have been made usable across all UI modes.
Make sure you have a stable recovery installed, i recommend TWRP, if you must, CWM
Let it make a full backup, should anything happen you'll be safe

If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

No! You are not porting ****. Just because the base has changed from ICS to JB it gives you the right to do things? Paranoid Android is my project for one v and I'm not going to let a guy like you to steal my work! I never stepped into your project even when lloir said that I should do miui on jb because he said it will never give you permissions to do it but I never did it because it was your job. Step on my toes again and I will not be nice next time, comprende? And yes, just as Lloir said, this will be done from source by me for the gsm side.

I don't understand why you want to cry on a CDMA thread. Stop acting like a god damn kid and wait for the rom to be done for the GSM side. It is not enough we polluted rukin's thread with GSM stuff, you want to be a whining kid and complain about it? Go ahead, I say I'll do it, when I'll be free. Right now I'm on holidays at my parents so it will be done when I come back home which should be in 1 or 2 weeks.
When I'll do the rom, you will see it in the development thread! Right now, stop whining on rukin's thread and use roms that are already available for GSM.

Re-Map your "FAVES" button to another function such as Gmail, MMS, Browser or other apps. This proved to be a little harder to figure out than it had been in the past, but it was finaly able to get done. It seems that T-mobile really integrated MyFaves into HTC's framework, more than they had in the past on other devices. That in turn made it a little tougher to figure it out.
Much thanks to the1wingedangel for all his help and also thanks to all the people here at Xda that have contributed to the development of Android and help all of us to customize our phones how we see fit!
If you still want to use the Faves, you can. You will just need to access all your Faves contacts through a widget/contacts/dialer ect...
These mods will work on any stock Glacier/MT4G rom's or any built from stock "MySense" such as Ice Glacier. Just speak up in the thread and I will see what I can do to help out with any requests or problems....

Launchkey App Use Instructions

You can do that by picking the custom menu setting and hitting the menu button to set up your menu apps.

Genius Button Mod
This is the same mod that is found in this thread. It will make your Genius button open text search on initial press and on long press be able to open Voice search. I have also included the free app from the market called Button Shortcut. You can use Button Shortcut to open any other app using the Genius/Search button long press as shown in this thread. I have put this in a easy zip format. Just flash it using recovery or Rom Manager. This should work for any MT4G/Glacier rom.

Yes it is for stock , follow the instructions in the OP depending on your rom. You might be having trouble downloading it because your trying with your phone. I will post mirrors for the links tonight.

Yea, as for right now I can't do anything about ymthe chinese characters. But for the icons not loading up, thats really weird. Maybe a reboot and if that's already been done, a reflash or bad download. But the icons load up on mine.

Man look ive been running this sincelast night just to see if its stable for wifey's phone. Its actually very nice and smooth. Not having one issue at all. Just have one question why can i not use volume keys to zoom in and out with the camera. Please ad this feature please thats all she missing. And keyboard im using swype beta. Thanks dev

I agree. It's pretty stable for the most part and has great battery life, haven't found any issues with this port. Will report back when something comes up. Thanks for this port and good job on making it a success.

Wait!! I have found a solution for the Chinese characters on the status bar, download Rom toolbox and change the font to whatever you like, it replaces the characters with English

I'd first like to start off by giving the majority of the credit to KillJoy devs, as this ROM was theirs first but I took it and modified it(with their permission of course)

Custom theme and icons- Currently KillJoy's, after my loss I didn't mod that, too much time and effort to do it again
Different (not better) memory management
Removed boot animation for boot times
4 in 1 boot option
Smart screen.-auto dims the screen for a period of time, lets say you are taking a picture and are getting a pose ready, the screen brightness will go down in intervals for the amount of time spent idle, but also will get brighter if it is light outside, long explanation, not very innovative but still cool
(my own mod, I am not sure if it works for sure, I flashed it separately, and just smushed it into the ROM itself. You guys need to tell me if it works)
To do/fix:
Fix 4g LTE, for some reason there is none
Optional ink effect- Done!
Maybe slow down a few things
Script for the CPU to sleep while inactive- Broken?
Possibly AOSP keyboard

Thanks for the support. Poop hit the fan earlier in the middle of the upload, had no bars and it failed and I couldn't restart it. SO it is gonna have to end up waiting until next weekend.

Yes, you do need to get permission to use the ac!d.the aosp keyboard rocks. The touchwiz one lags for me where this one I can type a hundred miles an hour and there's not a single studder at all. I made a flashable, its in apps. See how you like it. I loved the Sammy one but j missed the speed of purity

Will put it in. Guys I am deeply sorry for not uploading like promised. Long story short my RAM disk failed which had my ROM on it, so I had to redo it.
I basically made the majority of the ROM myself, I did keep the Frankenstein framework due to sheer laziness. Expect the ROM up at 12AM or earlier EST.
Taking last minute requests before upload. I start the upload in one hour.

I will ask them if I can use their mods, also with ac!d.
Upload is 60%, I will update at least once a week (I promise if I don't keep my word I will let you hit me), and with next update the theme will be mainly white, and some dark blue and black.
Also, the battery(next weeks update) I don't know how to make it an option for text or not, so should I make it perma text or blank for elegance?
2 days of battery life wowzers. Really liking what i'm seeing. I'll give it a go when you get it uploaded.

Be patient!!! This is a Huge rom and will take a bit to boot up..but it will, promise..lol
Make sure you also install xposed framework (included in rom, go to xposed installer and click install then reboot)
Activate xblast tools, go to xposed installer, click modules and tick xblast
Change your settings and reboot
Rom is around 1.27gb

I would like to share a dialer hack that @billb23ok turned me on to a while ago when he was trying to get his I317 to connect to all t-mobiles modem frequencies (4g and LTE). Keep in mind that the video's I link to are my experiences ONLY and may not work the same for everyone because of the fact that we all have different cpu/gpu chips. Meaning the manufacturer had to make hundreds of thousands of these and they all have they're slight differences. Example: under-clocking to 100 mhz frequency and an under-volt of -50 mv are definitely acceptable for my cpu chip, but MAY NOT be acceptable for some people.
Next I would like to share some TRICKSTER MOD settings I uploaded to you tube a little while ago, it MAY help you achieve better battery life and/or performance.

Careful your phone bite you. Lol. Download and install it's a great rom. It's based off the md1. 4.3 isn't official for the t889 yet. When it is I'm sure this will be updated shortly after.
Any data drops? All 4.3 ROMS I have tried thus far have data drops when on a call or when screen turns off.

This is a Aroma Installer Zip that Ive put together. It will Black out various aspects of Ui and apks.
It also includes a few pieces of Candy.Pictures at the bottom of OP.
Ive decided to rebase Theme installation to Aroma for more customization options and Multi base support[GPE| CM | AOSP] ALL in ONE zip.

But it still should work if its a CM base.You ALSO get Google CallerID... enable it in phone settings. RESULTS MAY VARY IF IT IS NOT A STOCK CM 11. You can also try to preinstall PA Dialer mod make sure it works then flash the theme. I've tested it myself multiple times running Stock CM 11 and works perfect.

BUGS
- It is probaly NOT ART compatible
Return to Dalvik and theme will be fine. ART is OK if you choose MINIMAL. Since there is no apk swap.
- If you flash Cm version do Not flash this after clean install... Set up device then flash Theme.
- Contact.apk will FC when adding info to birthday field... Working on fix.
Work Around
- Add Birthday fields before flashing theme...sync Google contacts then flash theme.
- Add Bday on other device (tablet..etc) sync contacts...Info will show in themed app.
- Added goto Google.contacts.com and edit Bday then sync conatacts

IN THE CASE U DONT LIKE IT
PLEASE HAVE/MAKE A BACK UP ... SO U CAN UNDO THEME. . YOU CAN ALSO DIRTY FLASH ROM TO UNDO THEME IF U HAVE THAT OPTION.
I suggest DL Team Black Out Apps for full Blk Out experience.
I also want to post a HangOuts.apk that goes perfect with theme.

Looks really cool. Will try out soon. Also, in the screenshot, the holo blue in settings has been replaced by the Kit Kat light holo. So, I'm assuming you at least tried to remove as much of the holo blue as possible, right?

This guy has always done beautiful work and has worked tirelessly to figure out how to solve whatever strange request I manage to throw at him. I'd gladly vouch for the quality of Matthews work anytime, as a dark theme/inverted user from way back in the day.

Wow! I really love this theme! I mean you did a great job with it! Implementing the Holo Light and all... Fantastic job!
But may I request a theme for the Google keyboard? That would be awesome
EDIT: I'm getting a Contacts and Kik F.C., and Google sync has some problems... Hold on, I think I know a fix...

OK got it. The problem was I was moving from Sense to GE, so I wiped Data then installed the GE ROM with the theme.
Solution: Wipe data and system, re- install ROM and extras --__WITHOUT THEME--__, reboot to system, complete the set up wizard, then AFTER your apps and stuff are set up, you can install the theme.
Boom.

Figured I would come over here and show some support. Also give a big thank you to op. We really need some more themers getting involved like this. As a quick note you do not have to be de-odexed. That's one of those old myths that people can't seem to shake. Themes even when they contain apps with a classes .dex will not have any effect on the odex file at all. If you are not making smali adjustments you can simply delete the classes.dex from the apk. If you are making smali adjustments you can simply leave the classes.dex and add a delete line to your updater to delete the apps odex. Also.... I can teach you how to odex single files if you want to get real proper. I only get into this because I prefer my ROMs be odexed..... The gpe will be odexed in the very near future.
