Hi guys
Never thought it would happen to me but looks like I've done it for sure this time.
I was trying to flash a jelly bean rom when it started doing infinite reboots.
I thought no problem, will just reboot into recovery, flash boot.img then flash an older rom I had stored on there.
Trouble is it won't go into recovery, you seen the screen for about a second and the device restarts, there appears no way to get into recovery.
I can get into the bootloader but that is it. It looks like I can't even power the device down because when I do it decides to start rebooting.
If you can talk me out of this one I'd be very grateful.
:crying:
Try flashing the recovery through fastboot.

When I try that it just says 'waiting for device' from the command prompt.
The red fastboot usb text is showing
It doesn't look like I can flash recovery, it just says waiting for device. Not good.
Update;
I've re flashed recovery but when I do it reboots the device and recovery attempts to load then it falls back to the infinite rebooting.

you should download CWM touch 5.8.4.0. If you boot into HBOOT then fastboot from there, you can flash CWM via fastboot
the command will be
Code:
fastboot flash recovery xxxxxxxx.zip
where xxxxxx is the name of the CWM file
after this is flashed you should be fine booting into recovery

K just double checking you are holding volume down + power button for quite a while and the HTC boot screen is in a multiple bootloop?
If yes then you could always try flashing the normal CWM recovery via rom manager (non touch version, 4.x.x.x if i remember correctly). if that says falsh complete try booting cwm from there?
I can't find the rom manager any where

replose cant get into bootloader so cant use fastboot at the moment.
Have you tried booting into bootloader via holding the power button > reboot > bootloader through ARHD?
I only try by holding the power button and the volume down key at the same time which atmosphere classes the phone completely and turns off the led if I'm charging

It works now, figured out that I had to untick the fast boot option in in settings

Okay so I rommed my phone with CM10 Rom and then every time i reboot it, it needs to go to the computer and do the boot boot.img thing
Is there any way without doing that?
Hi mate, there is a way of doing it so that re-booting doesn't need re-flash.
I would suggest doing some searches before posting !
Here is a link to a VERY handy tool-kit to speed up the process if it continues:

Do you have SuperSU installed?
You need to do
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Not
Fastboot boot boot.IMG
Then it will stick on restarts

Yes. It didn't seem to help anything.
You said recovery is gone? Did you accidentally overwrite it with the boot.img? Try this with cwm 5.8.4.0.
fastboot flash recovery cwm5840.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot erase cache
Where cwm5840.img is the name of your ClockworkMod image and boot.img is the file you extracted from the rom u wish to install.
Pm me if u need additional help and I can tv in.

You could try a ruu. download the right ruu for your phone on your pc, connect your phone in fastboot and lock your bootloader. Then double click the ruu on your pc.
Remember though the ruu needs to be the same cid as your hox is now and the same version or higher.
You will lose all data though using a ruu

My wife told me she had a "One X"...I asked several times......It is a One S. If you load the wrong Boot.img and CWM it won't start....who woulda thought?!
I'm a dumbass. Squirrels helped me over TV and pointed that out. Thanks a million Squirrels!
Hi,
My phone, yesterday at night, turned off because of low battery (I Think). Today morning, when I connect the charger, while starting up, I got 7 vibrations. I left it plugged in for about 5hrs. I am running a custom rom. I am only able to go into bootloader mode. I am not able to get into Recovery. It vibrated 7 times when I try to. It was all working fine yesterday. Please help me.
Thanks in Advance.
Download a RUU rom and install it in bootloader.

For recovery prob, turn off fastboot from settings...if this doesn't work in fastboot mode type. fastboot erase cache....

The only way they will give you a new phone is if its bricked. Where it gets no response at all. If they see the white HTC logo and the red letters than your beattt.

The only thing that shows up is the white HTC Logo. I have re-locked my boot loader. Do you think that would solve the problem?
Probally not. The bootloader still says re-locked. So they know it has been unlocked before. So you will still be busted.
