Do a Factory Reset and flash the last release, the battery performance for me it's better.:good:

hello there,
few month ago i updated my xperia arc to 2.3.4, rooted it and almost everything works fine,
exept a strange battery problem...
everytime i fully charge my phone and boot it up, it seems that the boot process needs round about 2-7 % of the battery.
after the boot i check the battery and its not fully charged (mostly 96%),
also the battery drain is really massive, every minute i use the phone it drops like 2-3 %.
any thoughts?
also, is there a new firmware already?
thanks
Well its battery drain issue..
On .42 fw..
Umm, what about your usage?
Do u use so many apps?
About the boot,
When u boot and the battery is not 100%,
Charge it again until 100%,
Turn off, take off your battery for 10 seconds,
And then turn on, charge again till 100%,
Repeat the steps until you got 100% when u boot ur phone.
It works for me, maybe works too for you.

Hello all,
Before some days I came back to GB from ICS and my "Android System" drains much battery. I installed mexdroid and I changed to elitemod to see if it is mexdroid's problem, but I got the same problem with elitemod. (After 4~ hours discharging with 2-3 calls and 15 minutes play game only, I got 60% battery.) Does anyone know what is going on? Thank you.

Well, you could order a new battery for next to nothing and see if that helps. If not, try flashing a new kernel. I had a battery drain issue on a gb rom before i went to ics. I have had amazing battery life with ics.

Remember that every time you flash a new ROM, you need to do a couple battery cycles in order for the battery meter to recalibrate. Charge the phone to 100% (leave it on the charger for a while to make sure its really full) then use normally until about 10 or 20% (don't drain to zero, as this is not good for Li ion batteries). Repeat a couple times. Your battery meter is not accurate until you do this.
Thank you I will try this and I will report back to tell you if the problem exists
I usually let the battery drain until its almost dead before charging right after flashing a rom.
Yes you should definitely charge to 100 and let it drain to dead. That will calibrate it. Then just charge it back up.

From the past one month or so I am having this weird issue with my phone's battery. The battery drops straight from 20% to 1% and the phone switches off. This last time, I connected the charger before the phone switched off ( a matter of few seconds ) and the battery jumped straight to 21%. Is my battery terminally damaged or is it a software issue? I have attached a screenshot of the battery discharge graph available in settings menu.
Also, I faced the insufficient memory problem and I have repaired the phone about 2 months back using PC companion to ICS 4.0.4. I have been using the phone for about 15 months as of today.
Thanks.
hmmm maybe you charge your phone from pc? if you do this the battery will never get fully charged really...that i can say from my personal experiance.
By the way just charge the phone as much you can also let it charge on 100% and reboot it(battery lvl must go lower than 100) do this till you get a reboot with 100%...
If those do not help your battery is damaged you maybe have banding issues,3g/wrong baseband, forground apps? maybe a combo of all this.
Had the same issue, cured after repairing on SEUS.
Quite a fluctuate on the graph.

Maybe try to recalibrate battery!
Same issue, on mk16a. The battery is weird, if I leave CWM running it last for more than one hour, but androids jumps from 20% 1% or 0% suddenly. Also when booting again (after the shutdown) it's reports 20% but again it drops...
I'm on CM10 but i think this happens also on stock ICS.
Battery calibration don't work...tested it 2 times
Any hints?

Hi guys
recently i bought new battery because my old one used to jump
from 70% to 100% and had really bad battery life.
i replaced the battery and calibrated it and i noticed that the 20% from 100% to 80% goes down realy fast
should i recaibrate the battery?
what should i do? thanks!
It depends on the rom u r using.
All roms except stock based roms have this problem.

Im using aosp by maclaw studios
the weird thing is that the 70% acts like it 100% and im having really good battery life
from 70%
Its a problem in sumsung charge system.
In custom roms when u full charge battery it is about 80 % charged.

I think you should charge it when the phone is turned off. I noticed that my phone tells me it is "Charged" when it is turned on. However the actual percentage in Go Power Master is 80%.

so it has nothing to do with the battery quality and the battery calibration?
the problem will not appear in the stock rom?
Thats if needed. To check if the battery is fully charged, try these step.
1. Charge the when it is running until it says "Charged".
2. Turn off the phone and keep the charger plugged in.
3. The battery image will appear. If it is not full, wait till it full. When it shows 100% then it is fully charged.
Note that powering up the phone takes some significant amount of battery. If the battery is still draining fast. Calibrate may be needed.

enchanced rom shows 100 percent but still shows charging. So I guess it fully charges
Well the battery level seems to be jumping unusually from time to time . What i do is i wipe the battery stats from cwm , i leave it over night to fully charge without doing anything to it , calibrate the battery with `battery calibration` from playstore , full discharge and full charge again . I do this after each rom that i flash and it seems to do good and seems to point the right amount. Anyway the charge lasts as i hope it lasts , from 1 day if i do stuff with it like some wifi , some messaging , many minutes of calls .... to about 3 days if i do only calls. Cheers
I freshly installed EHNDROIX V ROM onto my GNexus, with fancy kernel. I wiped battery stats with BatteryCalibration app. But my phone won't charge to 100%. It always stops at 99%. This has happened even before I installed this ROM. I leave it on for couple of hours and it's still on 99%.

I am using karbonn s1
i have the same prob
I had read it somewhere,
It is to prevent overcharging.
Itz not an big issue
When it reaches 99%
Juz charge it for more 10 mins and then remove it
If you have trickster mod go to the 'specific' tab. There is probably a feature called battery life extender. If you want to turn it off set it to 100. But as said it prevents overcharging. You wont miss that one or two percent would you.
