Google Offline Music Stored in CWD backups? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

When I was using my e4gt and I did a nandroid backup and then restored it later my offline music would still have to sync (like 6gb of music)
Now with this gs3 my backups take longer and when I restored my CM10 nandroid I still had all music!
Any explanations?

Google Music Storage?

Does anyone where the music from google music is stored on the E4GT?
I would like to know because i've been flashing new roms like crazy lately, and every time i install a new rom i have to redownload the music again.
On mine its stored on the internal memory at /sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.music/cache/music/

It is stored where the poster before me said. But just an fyi, I haven't been able to flash a ROM and successfully keep my offline google music. I tried copying the folder, titanium backup, etc, and it just doesn't behave right. Something is going in in google servers that flashing a rom screws with.
Old fashion flash storage is the way to go if you swap roms a lot.

Backup apps

Im trying to find a backup app that backups app data, contacts, call log, messages, photos/videos. Basically almost how iTunes backups iphones but i want to back all that up into google drive. Is there any app that does that? I found ones that do somethings but not all unfortunately. If google just came up with a system like this it would make android even better but so far they haven't

Closest thing to that I can think of is Titanium Backup, but your phone has to be rooted to use it.
It doesnt backup sd elements as far as i know though

You can look to MyPhoneExplorer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fjsoft.myphoneexplorer.client
But I think it only synchronizes the backups on the pc
I am using a combination of Titanium Backup and Foldersync.
Titanium Backup to backup my phone/apps/... and than I use Foldersync to sync some directorys of my SD card to a FTP server.
Syncing with Google Drive is possible in both apps.
Not a single-app solution but works great for me
I wish i could talk to a dev about this idea because it would really come in handy. I mean most of us have 5gb of free space on google drive not being used so it would come in handy thats for sure

The most efficient method for backing up playlists/apps?

I've used Wondershare MobileGo. Doesn't seem to back up the playlists on the music player application of choice. I need something that's going to restore my playlists on Google Music and Poweramp and put the specific tracks on those playlists back, as well as something that can restore all applications and SMS/Call logs to my phone after a wipe. I can't seem to find a good application that does all this (correctly) in one. Anyone have any suggestions?
Titanium backup.

Yes definitely titanium backup for the apps and i think Super Backup will backup call logs and sms but i'm not sure if it's works good or not as i have no experience with it.

Titanium will do sms and call logs as well but I've seen some people have issues. However, you can use "sms backup and restore" and "call log backup and restore" from the market. They work pretty well. I use them all the time.

Best cloud backup app

Hi folks,
I would like to invite your suggestions on what backup apps you are using which have the ability to export/import full backup on cloud without using PC in the process.
I am on 4.2.1 stock and rooted. I just don't want to store the backup on phone itself(not too much storage on nexus anyway).
Thanks for taking the time to read the post!

Titanium backup. Awesome tool, will backup all apps and data on any schedule you like, or just manually, then sync to the cloud storage of your choice.

Agreed. I use Titanium and sync it to my DropBox, all automatically on schedule
Titanium is great for sure. Although I am now using Koush's new backup app, Carbon. It is boss!
I just signup for Box and they gave me 50gig free

Super backup

Also using titanium pro for my backups.
Titanium Backup, then it can syncs to Box.com/Dropbox/GoogleDrive.
But I just change the folder of Titanium to the actual titanium folder on the sdcard and transfer it to my PC.. upload on my ISP is slow and would take forever..
Been using Carbon for backing up data and super backup for sms/call log backups. I love Carbon, back-up to Dropbox and Google Drive is pretty slick.
And with super backup, I always have the file emailed to my gmail for safe keeps.
Carbon. It's fast and let's you auto sync backups across multiple devices.

I have been using tb pro for ages but I had noticed some inconvenience when restoring backup up apps taken from another rom...
any one else experienced the same ?
Back up alternative
Hi there,
I use an online back up service. The one I use has an appfor mobile devices. If you would like the link drop me an email and I will send it for you.
Hope this helps.
Just started using Carbon and as a former Titanium backup user I'm quite impressed.

Seems like carbon is getting popular. I would give it a try as well.

I use carbon and sync it to my box account. You get 50gb storage on there for having an lg device
When you guys say carbon syncs between devices can you explain how exactly? Do I have to hit a sync button then it syncs between? Is it automatic for certain apps you specify?
I use data sync to do this auto, but it's a beta and occasionally has issues.
I do it manually. I've heard there's a way to do it automatically but I haven't discovered it yet

Carbon w/ Dropbox is working great for me. Saved me from hours of reconfiguring after a bad install got me bootlooped.

DataSync
I don't understand why carbon is getting so much attention?? DataSync has been around much longer and is much better than carbon. Carbon only has its use for those who don't want rooted devices. DataSync automatically syncs your data from apps/games every time you start/close that app or game. You can use it with box, dropbox, ftp, drive (in a week or so), wifi, bluetooth. It does everything Carbon does but better and automatically. You set up a list of apps you want synced or backed up and it backs everything up every time you have used an app on that list.
The new alpha release is very stable and works great! U can get it here.

DataSync. Titanium did not work for some reason, so I searched for alternatives. The paid version is capable of auto backing up and syncing to other devices. But since I don't have more than one Android device in use, I don't need that and can live with dropbox backups.

Best way to move app data from old phone?

Hello
I just got my note 2, moving on from the Galaxy S2 running CM 10.1. I have not rooted my phone yet but tried us my backup pro. It worked except for none my apps have my old data, such as saved games. I had problems with this before with titanium pro. Has anyone tried google backup or any other suggestions?
Thanks.

Download the app on your new phone and sign in with the same account thats linked to the old phone
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
I do it with Titanium backup. It works fine. Apps are fairly easy to restore with data. Big games are much more troublesome. Their data are bigger and store in different areas so no so easily backed up.
If you haven't rooted yet, try Carbon. It doesn't require you to be rooted to backup apps and data.
