I've built this theme from pieces found in other mods. I'm not a designer nor a developer but I like to personalise what I'm using.
Also, I truly like the stock gingerbread look so, I've tried over the last few weeks various combinations of colours and images in the framework and applications. Because I really like how everything came out and maybe I'm not the only one liking stock stuff, I thought to share it.
The main credits are going to Ock and Darkyy because I've used mainly elements from their work.
This theme will NOT be maintained over time and I welcome anyone who think that certain things can be improved, to modify it accordingly. Of course, the obvious bugs will be corrected as it will be found or indicated.
The theme is tested on a deodexed JVB rom so I wouldn't recommend trying it on any other rom.
This theme has:
- AOSP lock screen only
- CRT screen off animation
- Green glowing overscroll
- lockscreen, phone and clock are sharing the same style for the interactive buttons (for unlocking, answering phone and turning off alarms)
- clean battery stats (no percentage)
- gingerbread launcher included
The theme is CWM3 flashable .. but please mount in advance the /system partition (from the mounts and storage cwm menu).
I personally use ADW launcher with gingerbread look and I've used the icons from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=870691
Enjoy (or not ) ...
http://www.multiupload.com/S0F8AY5VKJ
If someone wants I can provide the framework with the percentage over the battery (but will no longer look stock-like).
Nice theme, I love it!
Hi ro_explorer,
can you tell me where can I find (and how to install) only the AOSP lock screen...
I kinda like the stock TouchWiz (or I just got used to it) but the clock at the bottom of the locked screen is driving me nutz
thanks in advance!
Based on the work of KamikaZeeFu and my One X AOSP ICS Mod (visit for screenshots), find below a full AOSP ICS theme for the amazing Team Venom or any Sense 4.0 ROM.
The AROMA installer zip is flashable and includes choices of an AOSP ICS theme based on the villaintheme approach.
It should work on any Sense 4.0 ROM. The script will just copy some 200kb of unused icons to your SystemUI.apk (needed for the Quicksettings on myONEv ROM) but they are uniquely named so they won't overwrite anything.
Changelog in post #2.
Get the theme here:

IMPORTANT: I have based this on the MusicLover skin (nice and blue), make sure you select it in the "Personalize" menu!

I just started at 0.1, no real meaning to it.
I didn't consider it as that important as it is a theme and not an app.
Re bugs, not that I know of, but you tell me
It only changed few things.
What is changed
HTC Music.
Notification icons/bar.
Few more icons.
Lockscreen - same.
World Clock - same.
Phone - same.
Sms - same.
One V doesnt have quick settings.
Alarm Clock - same.
Settings - same.
Calendar - same.
Gallery - same.
Those are the things i tested. On rooted Stock 4.0 rom.
---------- Post added at 01:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:44 PM ----------
Also Notification icons/bar looks a bit too big.
The man has great knowledge.

Thanks for your feedback.
However, I have posted quite clearly that this is a stripped version of my mod. If you have a good look at my One X thread, you will see that it has AOSP ICS apps, this theme doesn't.
So MMS/ Gallery / Settings / etc. will never be themed.
The same goed not for Alarm & Phone (Phone, not Dialer!!), those should have been themed, I will have a look.
Lockscreen hasn't been themed either, I assume you mean PIN unlock screen, right?

Hmm, thanks for that but JA_SAM is right, those icons are too big...
It comes because I simply removed the x from the xhdpi folders when making this theme as somebody asked me to provide it for the One V as well. Now the icons used are too big for the One V screen.
Damn. Not sure I will adjust them as I haven't really planned on spending too much time on this spin-off...
Oh well, it's never as easy as you think it is, might have a look at it and try to get hdpi icons for you guys, just can't live with half-ass solutions... :cyclops:
and also one bug found
sometimes it shows my custom roms battery icon and sometimes urs
instability i think
i didn't happen after i rebooted will take a screenie when happens nxt time hope it doesn't

If you could fix notification bar/icons that would be great.
I dont care about rest of the theme.
Also could you remove mod on power button menu (Phone options) as it looks weird? And out of place.
see here the battery icon problem i mentioned above
as u can see the icons perfectly in the post above and see this

Just awesome man thanks for this..
A few issues-The infinite skin is not showing up in my list of skins.
Notification bar and status icons got updates, even tho they look a little bulky
I'm also having trouble with the default battery icon appearing instead of the themed one....
I'm not nitpicking just pointing out issues.
Edit- Also, a bit of a fail in the Music app.
This looks awesome!
However, do you happen to know if this would be flashable on an HTC Desire V (t328w)?
I wanna try, but I do not want to brick my phone....
thanks!
just flashed it, well... the icons in the HTC music player is seriously OVERSIZED
other than that, it looks great

Make a nandroid backup and then flash it. Takes you 3 minutes and in case of bootloop your back up and running in no time.
May work, but I believe the icons will be too big as well.

Will look into the battery issue, already have an idea.
Regarding the skin, was told this was a default, blue based skin. No idea why you don't have it, get it from a stock ROM then.
The htc music app is a fail straight out of the box. If your serious about your music, get PowerAmp.
Seriously the icons and the cover is too big, will change that in the next release. But it looks ****ty even with the cover having the proper size. htc...

I'll give two options, only themed System UI and framework-res and one all themed.
Will resize all icons, give me some time. Might be ready later today, no promises though.

It appears that there are still a lot of you that are going flash crazy and coming from other ROMs that are based on LK8. I will explain a few things about doing this. When you flash a ROM that is based on LK8, and then try to flash any ROM based on LJC, like MacksROM you are going to have the following errors;
Hands Free Activation on every boot, and possibly an error 1500 error, and you will lose your data connection......
Chameleon error upon every re boot.....this is a launcher error msg, as per Sprint...
Gyrene2083 ran several tests with Garwynn and Garwynn came out with this fix. We will never, I repeat never update to a leaked version of LK8. With that said for those who are coming from a ROM that is based on the LK8 leaked version use the fix above. Do not ask for help in this thread, regarding this issue, because the answer is in the link provided, and ask lk8 questions there.....Garwynn worked hard on that fix, and gyrene2083 ran multiple tests of this fix, and it's worked fine.....
Once you have done the above and all is working fine, then you can follow the directions below and enjoy MacksROM....
Directions to Install
1. Make sure you have the latest downloads of TWRP. (You can get this through GooManager from the playstore. Hit menu - Install OpenRecoveryScript )
2. Ensure you make a backup.
3. Reboot into TWRP
4. Nandroid Backup, Wipe Cache 3x's, Wipe Davlick Cache 3x's, Wipe System 3x's, [Unless your coming from a previous version of MacksRom] (Do a factory reset if your coming from another ROM)
5. Install ROM
6. Reboot Let it stabilize for about 10 minutes.
7. Enjoy.

Using the Aroma Installer
This is a quick guide to using the Aroma Installer since this highly customized version may be slightly different from what you have used before.
Looks complicated, but is super easy. And I think you will appreciate the ability to customize your set-up without having to re-install the ROM.
Enjoy!
Be sure to select your carrier!
Installation:
Nandroid backup
Factory reset in recovery if coming from a non-TouchWiz ROM (backup internal SD Card contents first)
Flash in recovery (button or touch)
Aroma installer should start within ~5 seconds
Choose a theme (if the colors look borked, go back and choose the theme again).
After agreeing to the disclaimer and viewing the changelog, Choose either:
Install or Update ROM - Installs ROM
or
Add or Remove Features - Allows you to add or remove apps, launchers, etc without re-installing the ROM.
________________
Install or Update ROM:
Choose either:
Full Wipe - Clean install wipes system, cache, Dalvik, and app & system data (no media, etc).
or
Update Wipe - Wipes system, cache, Dalvik (for current CSROM users only)
Choose desired options.
If you don't choose a launcher, the TW launcher will be installed.
If you install both AOSP and Samsung email you will get repeated FC's.
You can install both launchers and decide which one to use after boot.
________________
Add or Remove Features:
Be sure to select everything you want included in the ROM, even if it is already installed on your device.
If any given item is not selected, it will either not be installed, or deleted if it is already installed.
________________
Additional Info
If at any point Aroma hangs, hold the power button until device reboots recovery (10-15 seconds).
If install completes and you get a "Status 0" error after pressing "Reboot" in Aroma, just reboot the device.

I added a flashable zip to the third post.
a word of appreciation for this ROM: flashed it last night and it works very well. I like the fact that you stripped out some bloat, the rest is easy to remove and modify ourselves, like the standard launcher and the option with Razor, thank you for the 1% battery mod and the extended power menu, and thank you for not then lumbering the ROM with a bunch of other features I neither want nor use!
If there is one request, it would be to keep the base nice and simple and have any extras people start asking you for as separate install packages or zips -- lots of other roms with 64 toggles, battery bar and other cut and paste features -- don't mess this one up!
thanks again

You just described my Clean Slate concept (the "CS" in "CSROM").
I rarely add things without other options (like the launcher).
When I start a new ROM the first thing I do is remove most obvious manufacturer and carrier crap.
Then I try to keep most of the mods as background items you might not notice (performance & battery life improvements, revealing options blocked by carriers and device manufacturers, changing default settings to things that most of us use, etc.) and additional options.
If I do make a big, obvious change I do it because I really believe it improves the ROM.
When I theme, it is to move things in an AOSP direction or to clean up a mess (like the stock notification drawer toggles).
I try hard to balance what I want and what most users want with the ROM concept. I don't always get it right, but I try.

upndwn4par,
Been running this since release and I've decided to make it my DD. Still much to early to comment on battery life but everything else I have put it through has been solid. Not one issue, you made it just like I would have if I had your smarts.
Like lgsshedden said, appreciate you keeping is simple and 'lean'.
Keep up the good work, I've clicked the thanks button but you might consider getting a 'donation' button as well. Some peeps on here will might help fund your coffee breaks.

Tweaked and modded as you have come to expect?
A Clean Slate to modify as YOU wish?
Introducing CSROM SGS3, a custom ROM based on Jelly bean 4.1.1 (DLK3).
Try to think of this ROM as a Clean Slate to modify as YOU wish.

***************
***************
Using the ROM
RAZR Launcher and Circle Widget
Tapping the circles launches clock app, weather app, and battery stats
Swipe circles to flip them
Clock circle displays text notifications
Home screen is left most screen (not center)
Slide home screen right to see quick settings
Circle widget currently only works with RAZR launcher
AOSP Lockscreen:
When using the AOSP lockscreen you must de-select all other lockscreen options.

Thanks, Nice seems smooth and easy to set up.. Like the Launcher option... Gonna play with it tomorrow for sure... Thanks again..:good:
My only question would be how to disable or remove the ATT contact pop up....I looked it apps and TiBu didn't see it...
I'm digging the ROM everything works good. I do notice some lag with the RAZR launcher but with the twiz launcher everything is snappy. Thanks again

Removing the AT&T contacts is on my list of things to do.
It should only pop up on first install. Did it happen more than once?

Yes, there is a touch of lag with the RAZR launcher. But the circle widgets make up for that. It is from an ICS ROM. As soon as a JB version becomes available I will update it and hopefully that will fix the problem.
I like it so far, only problems are S Voice isn't an Aroma choice, the CM alarm and timer on top of the regular Samsung clock that has alarm, timer and stopwatch, and lack of more launcher choices.
This looks so [email protected] good. It's becoming hard to resist flashing it, even though I'm very happy with my current rom..... Decisions decisions...

Regarding the ATT pop in contacts.... I thought that yet have checked and rebooted to see , it comes up each time I open my contacts still works just for me annoying... Would luv to see a centered clock again my liking. Overall this is a great ROM that runs great and is smooth. I can see you put allot of thought and work into it and it shows.
Thanks
