If you are still looking for NFC tags,
I'm also from South Africa, just got my NFC tags through TakeAlot.com, in the UK imports section..

I'm putting this thread together with the intentions of creating a group of e4gt users to get together outside XDA and help each other.I've found reading and watching 'how to" videos doesn't always work.i have only talked to 2 other "local'' people and they both liked the idea.So if you live near Central Florida and want to get together over beer or coffee and talk development and help each other that would be awesome since i'm trying to do this in the spirit of advancement for us and our phones.
you can contact via gtalk @ [email protected]
please leave your contact info in your posts so we can make this work. Thank you.
Apparently i have to be more clear on this thread and it's intentions, this not a developer section or Q&A. Instead of limiting our selves to typing and waiting for a "reply" I'd like for us to meet in person talk Android our phones and help each other.Being in person is more visual. We can try things with the help of someone who has done it before.

Thanks sense for clarifying,I'd like for local people to get together and help each other out.talk android come up with ideas.this hopefully would give people a better "hands on" approach to there device. For example I helped gronimo1981 root his phone and add custom recovery. Sometimes how to videos still get confusing.watching someone do it add a sense of security when we all start as noobs.seriously are phones aren't cheap so we get nervous.add your gtalk to the post and we all can talk and work on meeting up..thanks...

I have created an application that will detect if the device is a fake S III or not.
Take a look at the application:

I would not buy the device if it is from anywhere outside of the USA. Unless I live in that country... just my opinion.
You can usually tell if its fake by taking the back cover off

Maybe you should check Xposed Framework out. Because you can already do that with one of the modules. If I'm not mistaken it's tweak box.

I was hoping you had some practical use - like nfc tags placed in certain places where you have to use your phone for logging data, and your phone wakes up and starts an app for you.
Seems like I can just unlock my phone by swiping my finger or something.

I took one of those keychain nfcs and took it out and just taped it around the watch and used an xposed module where it allowed nfc use while the phone is off and used tasker (think the name changed) and made it so that the phone unlocks when it is tapped.

I think it's been mentioned our phone doesn't have a secure element. Wed have to go with a secure Sim card and who knows if that'll work other than with isis payment systems.

My only question before I buy this: How do you take it out? Looking at the video, it seems like it gets pretty flush with your device, yet I also use headphones. Is it easy to switch out?
Thanks! For 39 cents it's worth taking a chance. I just ordered one.

I think it would not be an issue because the audio jack has a slight curve for our phones. There will be a small gap towards the back of the phone where you can stick your finger nails under to remove the button.
The app sounds some what sketchy. I have to wonder if this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kober.headset would work with Pressy or it's clone.

I read a review somwhere that it does not work all the time (doesn't react everytime you press), maybe the apps gets killed by the system or something, or maybe it's just "you get what you paid for"..

PSA for anyone considering buying this or any such device - the "convenience" is not worth the trouble. Here are the few things you need to know -
These buttons work only with their companion apps. i.e you'll need to keep their app running.
From time to time, the app will forget what is plugged in and will wake up the device, asking you what's plugged in. i.e. look forward to a lot of wakelocks.
Sometime, it won't even prompt, asking for what is plugged. It'll think you've plugged in a headphone and act accordingly. So, you'll hear nothing from your speaker since the device is routing all sounds to the "headphone".
The above bug will also prevent you from speaking to your phone; i.e. you can't give commands to Google Now.
I speak from personal experience. I have the Klick button, which I had bought from tinydeals for ~ $1.90.
In for one. For this price not really out much if it doesn't work.
