Hey guys, I was hoping we could start a list of roms that have working Google wallet. So far the only rom I've used that works with Google wallet is the AOKP roms. Chime in with your rom and I'll add to the list.
Also check out Geniusdog254's nfc mods for using nfc with the screen off or from the lock screen.

It loads up on ever rom, but won't actually allow you to complete a transaction on some of them. Unless I'm mistaken and this is a kernel issue..
I'm on Twisted AOSP right now with no luck.

I had that happen once a few months ago. No idea what was the cause or if it would happen again (not a big fast food eater, I think that was actually the last time I've been in a mcdonalds). But it was probably a few versions of Google Wallet ago so I'd at least be optimistic for that reason.
I was able to make a purchase using Liquidsmooth ROM.
Has anyone had any luck with cm9 night lies I'm on the June 1 one. Every time I make a purchase the lights on the pay pass blink and it brings up the transaction on my phone but it says card failed on the cashiers screen any help appreciated!

Same here.
I had my Nexus for about 6 weeks before rooting it and installing CM9. During that time I used Google Wallet almost daily.
Once rooted apprx a week ago, I have not gotten it to work in the very same stores it did work previously.
What happens is when held against the reader, it vibrates and beeps as it should but nothing occurs on the cash register.
It have the "unsupported message" in google wallet.
I have enough funds in my Google Card
I have "NFC" enabled in settings.

Mine just worked at McDonald's using the 6/21 nightly on my Toroplus. I have had it fail many times before so I was pleasantly surprised when it did work. I doubt it's the reason but the only thing I've done differently than before is I have Wallet installed as a system app. I modified the Gapps package so that most of the Google apps are installed as system apps. I don't know if there was a recent update or if it's due to being a system app but Wallet doesn't ask for SU now.
So anyone got google wallet working? I'm being told via the phone that its not available on my carrier?

me too. Sadly after looking around on the net i found that it doesnt work. There might be a way around it once we get root. Can still use the NFC chip just not google wallet, yet. Tmobile and other carriers are trying to develop their own payment system.

Yea , a different payment app is suppose to be release this summer , but Google wallet as for now only works on sprint

I'd rather have Google wallet than some 3rd party app that is hardly established yet. Give it time, i'm sure we will see a hack or an official Google Wallet support. We have the technology in our phones to use the service, just takes time.

Ive been waiting for months for this guys, they are taking their time for sure.
Guys please be careful if this eventually gets working and you have the ability to flash custom roms. When going to a different rom you have to make sure to always reset the app from within wallet before flashing or else you could brick your nfc chip in a way that you can never use wallet again. It happened to me my second day owning my nexus.

This will let you non Sprint people use Google wallet I believe. Just read the instructions it can't be installed normally. It might require root I don't remember.

I don't even have the option to use carrier billing. It asks for a credit card but that's all. I checked online and my phone isn't listed in my account. And there is no way to add a phone. It's odd because about a week ago, my phone and one credit card was listed and now they are gone and it doesn't even give the carrier billing option when purchasing apps. Any recommendations?
I don't have it either. I'm on the latest AOKP, FYI.

You should run stock TW ROM when you do that.

I'm completely stock as well. I didn't have this issue with the one x either. Im gonna run by the att store on my way home and see what they say.
Up until a week or two ago I didn't have the option either, but then randomly it became an option... didn't do anything. Kinda weird, perhaps att just started recognizing the i747 as a compatible device or something

I just switched from Sprint to ATT and was able to bill to carrier with no problem on sprint...Now that I have att I don't even have that option which sux...Just wondering if anyone figured out if it was even an option or they have it on theirs??
When I was on at&t, after a few days, it started working by itself. Now that I am on Verizon, it simply doesn't work at all after two weeks. I don't even have the option. And Google hasn't responded to my emails.

Yooo this is the weirdest thing ever. I got this email saying there was a reply, so I checked it and it was your reply. So after I was done I went into the play store randomly like I have Been and what do u know? Not only was the option there but it was working. I made a purchase. I don't know why or how but it was there. I did nothing new or different. Strange but I'm happy!!!!

On att and I don't have an option to pay with carrier. I'm not rooted anymore and I've never tried anything other than stock Rom. It'd be nice to know if it's the play store or att.

I noticed they say you can't be on wireless to pay with carrier.
"You must be using your carrier’s network (3G/4G), not wireless."
Tried this, still no option. Tried deleting cache, no good. Deleting data & cache, no good. Tried uninstalling play store updates & it automatically reinstalled updates to version 3.8.17, still no option to pay by carrier.
I'm at a loss as to what to do next.

I wonder if that would work for Verizon or if I need to call Verizon and have them provision something. I have been with at for the past 10 years and just switched to Verizon a couple weeks ago so I don't know how Verizon handles this kind of thing.

I have the option for carrier billing. I have it checked but it still bills my cc. oh well, usually apps are less than 5 bucks.... If I can't pay that with my cc/debit then I don't need to be buying apps anyway. Kinda makes me think about buying a 25 cent lollipop with a credit card.
My situation with carrier billing is a bit different. I wanted to take advantage of the 25 cent app sale, so I selected the carrier billing option. The Play store tried to process the purchase, but returned a communication error message. This happened several times over the course of 3-4 days. I felt extremely silly charging 25 cents to my credit card, but at least I was able to do that.

Anything that accepts paypass.
This on top of "Samsung Apps" having a bunch of "Test Apps" for the ifrst 3 days shows they weren't at all ready for release... REALLY .. is it that different from Google Wallet? There are other apps that don't work
The NFC apps dont work at all - i just tried to pay my parking meter in SFO today with it - doesn't work (yes it is on).

It's Sprint that's the holdup. I wasn't able to use Wallet on my S3 until after I'd rooted and installed a different ROM (CM10 at that point). When I went back to a TW ROM, Wallet continued to work (not sure what they did with their TW ROMs, as even the leaks of the official ROMs continued to work).

On my GS3 it didnt work until I got an update on my phone.

When looking up Google Wallet in the market it still says it is not supported, I took the apk from my Nexus 7 and installed it and it works great!
It does? I'm not on JB yet because I don't want to LGNPST back. Waiting on the devs to do their stuff, but can anyone else confirm this? It'd be awesome if it did, because I was hoping I'd get wallet on this.
I was able to install Google wallet fine after upgrading. The application seems to work fine, it even reminds you that your device is unsupported. I have not actually tried to make a payment with it yet though, but I imagine it works fine.

That's really cool. I didn't think this phone had the secure element required for Google Wallet. Apparently, it does. Awesome news.

All paypass locations. Only places that advertise the use of Google wallets are airports. But the real focus are in paypass locations. Most gas stations. Fast food joints. Clothing stores. Walmart has talked about picking it up. Nearly every store in my local mall. Pizza hut by my house.

you can use any Visa, Mastercard, Amex, or Discover card. so most credit and debit cards are able to be linked.
I'm upgraded to jelly bean and installed Google wallet apk from the other thread. it was working for about a week. Was able to make transactions using it. Rebooted my phone today and I get the unsupported error when starting wallet. Any advice?

Sucks because I was ready to use it.
I was able to get mine working again after doing the XPOSED mod at www.modaco.com/topic/354635-xposed-mod-region-device-root-patched-google-wallet/
I rooted and unlocked last night then used the xposed method and got wallet working again. Only took about 30 minutes.
