[Q] Which CM10 rom should I use? - HTC Wildfire S

Which is better CM10 between Modpunk and Benjamingwynn ?
Modpunk : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1861623
Benjamingwynn : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1813077
ohh and Dudeman1996 too : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1882311
I'm looking for a better performance CM10 and Good Battery Life . Anyone ?

i think all of these cm10 roms based on modpunks work so i think they basicaly same

Yeah they pretty much are all the same. But I would use Benjamin's as I would say that one is the most updated one. I heard modpunk got a new phone so has stopped working on WFS (Unless I'm badly confusing with someone else)

Modpunk said that CM10 Alpha 1 will be his last work for our phone. DAAAmMn

east or west Benjamyn's best....
I am using Benjamyn's cm10 version...
and its really awesome...
with a few tweaks and deft touches, you can really make the most of it...
I love the faces my friends make when I flaunt my phone in front of them...
though, I recommend the above because, the guyz awesome and coz its most updated,,,,,
Oh! the camera in Cm10 is crap...
work around is to use camera360 frm market.it works like a charm for me..
btw, use link2sd to force move camera360 to sd-card save your Internal memory...

Miui-au ics v4

I have been seen a release of miui ICS V4 from Miui-AU [miui-au.com].
I know this is an unoffical release but I still wanna try it...
It is probably unstable but.. did someone try? is it daily rom? is it worth to download it?
Daily ROM? LOL I hardly say that.
Did not try it, and won't until it gets a "stable" label
I agree with you that this is probably unstable rom, but I have seen some commants which were pretty good and made me to think again...
OK, I want to say that I have installed it after all, and in one word: GREAT!

Pls share us how stable and good it is on response, would give it a shot
its as stable as i have seen for a MIUI ROM , really fast no FC
Picture quality is not good though
Although i might add that since its MIUI you will not notice if its really ICS based , it looks like an any MIUI (thats why i removed it )

Which of the three Cyanogen10 is better?

Hello, I have seen the forum that there are three Cyanogen10:
CyanogenMod 10.0.0-RC0 marvel/marvelc ALPHA0 By: modpunk
Cyanogenmod 10 builds (WIP) [MARVEL] [UNOFFICIAL By: benjamingwynn
CyanogenMod 10 Nightlies - modpunks work By: dudeman1996
I tried the first and second and I see more or less the same, the only thing there was a camera and another yes
What you recommend me for one day? Currently I have Cyanogen9 Alpha 7
thanks
Same here, I tried all the three and they're full of bugs. (FOR ME) and the biggest problem was the Htc Ime Keyboard didn't work on jbs. So I'm back on CM9 Alpha 7.
I tried Ben's and Modpunk nightlies...I couldn't get past through the boot animation due to I think bad building for Ben's ROM....
I was currently using Modpunk nightlies, it was working great except for the fact that Link2SD won't work with the ROM. I think I gotta get a different compatible kernel for that... (any suggestions?) Other than that, gapps is a pain to work with on this ROM especially with Cam, and low space to even flash them!!
cm10 is full of bugs .. i dont think its worth bothering with for daily use
i doubt if this will ever work, I think this is too much for the WFS
I'm running benjamingwynn's cm10 and it is absolutely smooth. The few main bugs are not annoying for me (gps and camera not working). The real pain is that some apps can't be installed (in my version) because of sd card permissions. But I use this ROM every day.

Opinion on ROMs!

I have tested many CM7.2 ROMs, custom ROMs, and could not find one that I can use every day without lag, hang-ups, crashes and many other things that annoy every single Android user.
My question is, what's the best CM7.2 ROM(since it's the fastest out here)? I mean everyday using, without freezes, crashes, etc.
I've searched the forum and didn't find a thread that could help me taking in consideration just a single one ROM.
I have to recognize, in this moment my mind is blown by the amount of ROMs available.
And why not? Let's keep this thread alive for every new member! I've seen that a lot of people own this phone and they want the best of it!
(I would help the developers, but unfortunately I should start from 0 with the programming)
And sorry for the missing 'o', after 2 days I've seen
[AOMP] MIUI from Frankin96 is the awesomest ROM ever, you have to try it! 10/10

Thank you, sir!
Well, I have tested CM7.2-RC3-Kang with 1.0.2 u235 kernel(from squadzone), CM7.2 Nigthly(the most recent build 20/09/2012),CM7.2 Democracy, and now, I have DroidGio v2.3(about 6-7 hours) and it does the job pretty good.
I think somebody said that he would release an official release of CM7.2(or stable) for Galaxy Gio, that would be very interesting and cool.
What about Stock ROM with Tweaks and/or Scripts? Is it possible to obtain a decent combination for everyday use?

Marcin's CM7.2 have some annoying bugs but it performs very well.
I don't want to install a unknown ROM like the Cyanmobile, it gives us no information about it.
I will test it when I have time(currently studying hard, really ).
Anyway, thank you guys for every single one opinion.

Marcin's CM7.2 not working on my phone for some reason.
I use Link2SD so after it re-mounts the script for sd-ext I must reboot the phone. After second reboot, everything is fine, restoring some apps than reeboting again and from this step everything goes black after the Samsung initial logo and it stays black.
I don't know if the rom is the problem, or my way to reuse Link2SD and some backed up apps.
Now I'm back on Phiexz CM7.2 wich is flawless in every aspect. It's pretty smooth, I've got many apps including large games for my princess and still have 50.Mb left on internal memory. Everything is working fine, battery life is no worst, no better than other cases I've seen.
anyone tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1775111
Have u tried Democracy and Apocalypse. Plzz tell me how would u rate these two Roms. I myself is very confused about choosing the Roms......
choosing rom is related to your needs. If you want good look you can use MIUI roms, if you want more stable you should use gingerbread based roms. I tried democracy and it was good, but at one point you decide to change... I don't know why...
I suggest MIUI... simply WOW
Yes, MIUI by Frankin96 is very good.
Droidgio 2.3 is the most stable rom i've tried so far. It seems that Droidgio is abandoned though.

[Q] looking for a stable ROM

Hello I am looking for a stable ROM with ICS or any android 4.0+ version because I need a T9 dialer in hebrew which is built in any android 4.0+ version.
And why do I need it stable?
well... the phone is going to be belong to my sister and I am going to have the HOX+(maybe not quite sure yet) and she is not going to play with ROMs flash them during the night and look for the best for her and update the ROM every week so thats why I need it stable...
and guys dont worry our HTC is kind of old but still good but my sister is walking around with Samsung 514!!!
I really want her to be impressed with android (although it does not matter what UI he have as long its not AOKP because i didnt love it )
thank you for you help time, thinking and for reading this despite my bad english(i can wait 2 weeks tops)'

All ICS+ ROMs are in a alpha / beta stage for the Desire... they can never be as stable as you would like them to be because of inherent device driver and resource limitations in our phone. Having said that, I use Sandvold http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1355660. It is a decent daily driver for me, but has a major bug once in a while. You would need to debug for your sister on such occasions.

You are contradicting yourself. Stop recommending something as stable when it's clearly not.
People will never learn there are no but's when something is stable.

PS: I edited my earlier post to remove the word stable
what about the miui he is in beta level but he is there because it gets updated almost every week can any one recommend on that?
and do you guys think that even in 2 weeks no stable roms will appear?

OK, there's the thing. If you are looking for a stable ics+ or ics+ with sense, your out of luck. The htc desire will not be able to support it with help from htc's own engineers/developers. However, if you are willing to use a fairly buggy rom, just pick any and see how you like it. In short, stop asking and just do it. Enjoy flashing.

If you want her to be impressed with Android, don't flash any ICS/JB as they are filled with various problems that noobs keep on making threads about them. You don't want your sister to have that impression that Android is a crappy OS don't you?
Stable? Go with AOSP CyanogenMod7 or Oxygen roms or at least anything that is based on those roms. Yeah it's Gingerbread but it's a fully working OS. They aren't eye candy but you'll have little to no complaints coming from your sister about this or that not working.

Pretty stable? Then why the hell does the developer still tags it as pre-alpha/beta/wip then?

so manny roms's! where are the stable one's?

Hi all,
I hope the developers read this also.
I dont get it, there are so manny different roms here, why are those people not working together for one stable rom?
I abused my Phone the last weeks with alot of roms found in development but all had issues, the issues dint resolve but the developer is paying attention to other version of android.?
Dont see this as a big flame to all of you,, i really love the fact that people put time in a old Phone like mine and make a nice rom for it.
But still... why so manny different roms? i see dev's having 3 threads with 3 different roms and there all apha beta, but no stables?
Is it a who's got the biggest brain idea here? or do i see it complete wrong?
Because 4.1.2 isnt stable but all the time goes in 4.2? then why even bother to make 4.1.2 if its Always stays in apha...
isnt that just a waste of time? isnt it alot better if the dev's working as 1 team?
My question is:
What rom is 4.1.2 or 4.04 and stable?
For now i'm using nikez lente 3.1P1 ? (the latest for 4.1.2) with nightly
but its crashing to much
But i really would like to see a stable 4.04 / 4.1.2 because it looks great!
Again dont see the evil in this post, its really something i just dont get and like to know why...
And yes big typing mistakes sorry

There are no stable ICS or JB ROMs for the Desire. Period.
And in all probability there won't be one too because our phone hardware just doesn't support these newer versions.
There are many stable and fully functioning GB ROMs.

just my point. When i look @ cynagogen site or evervolv you see alot of work in custom roms, but none are stable as in works like you buy it from the shop.
Ofcourse Custom roms need alot of developing, bugs are easy to make, but i just dont get it why you make alot of time en effort into a rom like 4.1.2 and then suddenly you drop it and lets do 4.2 now...
The saddest part is that alot of you people donate a bit monny for the time they put into the rom but then at the end you got a bug Phone and a new rom 4.2 thats crashes 90% of your time... oo yes cool 4.2 lets donate spend time on it until where alpha / beta en then we spend time for android 5!
i just dont get that...
I dont like gingerbread or 2.1 2.2 2.3 etc i want 4.0.4 or 4.1 / 4.1.2 specialy the last on from nikez lente works for a alpha pretty good so you should think where almost there but then you can read where spending or time in 4.2... pffff
Well maybe its just me but i never seen this way of working before.
I dont have the monny to buy me a 4.1 android Phone. So i would like to have a stable rom and wanna put time it in but why not all the developers at the same time. i really think you can get a good rom in 1 month then.

Sandvold's ICS was very stable when I used to use it. Some odd FC were an issue but it was so rare that it never bothered me. Maybe give that a try even though it hasn't been updated for a while, it's still ICS on a Desire.

What you need to understand is that developers are trying to bring the latest and the greatest of Android to Desire. Stable GB updates for Desire were released when even HTC had given up on official GB update.
To use ICS or JB on Desire, you need to accept that it will never be as fast a SIII or OneX simply due to hardware limitations. Still there are ICS & JB ROMs available stable enough to be used on a daily basis quite comfortably. Multiple devs working on the same problem is not the solution.
If you can't upgrade to a JB phone, install a good JB ROM like Vijendra's CM10 JB and enjoy the new features with occasional restarts. But if photo and video recording is important to you even with the poor old 5 MP camera on our Desire, stick to GB.
I like vijndra's cm10 JB - rom based in evervolv. It is fast and very stable.

@Tim
You've got it totally wrong. The devs here aren't miracle workers. They just slightly edit from the resources they gain, to make it their own.
Just because a rom is titled alpha, doesn't mean it in no way can be a finalized rom.
If the resource from start isn't even beta, don't think the devs are god and can change this. You should adjust your expectations.
However I get you're frustrations about donating.
