Just tested the commercial mobile alert system (cmas). On FD02 it showed this is a test etc etc.

its probably the emergency alerts message. you might not have enable it and thus came out like that?

I got it on my Nexus using CM9 but it hasn't shown up on my Epic Touch..same time, same message

I got it too - did this only go to ICS devices? I'm on the AOKP rom. If it's an emergency test, hopefully they'll be less cryptic next time.

Must be CM9 related somehow. I never got it on my Epic Touch using Ice ROM but everyone in the Nexus forum using CM9 or Euroskank got it

Has anybody made an inverted play store for our e980? I have tried several apks and flashable zips, but none work.

Try that...but make sure to push to system/app and restart.
You will have to change the stock Phonesky.apk to Phonesky.bak and also the Phonesky.odex to Phoneskyodex.bak , this will not work unless you do those processes.
Just a heads up, when the play store updates, it will probably change back in colors.
