So as the title says, that's my dilemma. I've downloaded Rom Manager but it says my device is not supported.
Am I able to flash a zip in twrp that will get me back cwm?
Thank you my XDA friends!

Thank you! But which one lol. Looks like all three are made for our phones.
Sent from my SGH-I747M using xda app-developers app
All three are for our phones, first in the list is the regular cwm, second in the list is the touch version and third is just an older version. So I'd install one of the first two.
Got it working. Thanks a million!!

Hey I'm new to android with my note 2 and I was wondering how I install this on my phone? My phone is rooted and is att i317 note 2

Easiest way is ROM manager, if it supports the N2.
I personally, along with many others prefer twrp. Download goomanager from the play store, open the app, press the menu key, and install open recovery.

Yeah, twrp is growing on me. Been using it for a few Weeks.
Rom manager hasn't had my device that I know of yet so maybe I'll try that other one

I didn't see this type of mod anywhere else on our forums so i thought I'd share it.
As a note I did not create it so I am in no way taking credit for anything other than using Google. All credit goes to kest874
With that said: This works for our phone!

I flashed the file through twrp without any issues. If you have problems try using. cwm.

Must be a deodexed rom as well. I'm running stock, rooted, deodexed without any issues. Let me know your setup and the process you used to flash. Then I'll try to figure out what went wrong.

Is this just a mod for the actual appearance of the tab...or will we lose the modded multi window function for all the apps? If you get what I mean...
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
I have not lost anything. I'm using the all apps mod and still have post flash. The only impact is on the background.

Is known that older versions of twrp didn't work worth some of the binaries. The current 2.3.1.4 worked for me. If it continues try cwm.

Working on Why Not 1.0
I can confirm that this is working on my t0ltespr on Why Not 1.0
I had to upgrade my recovery to the new TWRP 2.3.2.3. It wouldn't flash the new recovery through Goo Manager, so I downloaded it manually from here:
http://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/t0ltespr
Flashed the new recovery and then the MultiWindowTheme.zip
Does the recovery I read about on the ATT forum work for sprint?

Dont Know LOL !!
If you purchase the FreeLG app in the playstore that was created by a couple of devs on here and the Att forum it will install CWM for you and works like a charm. I know none of us are here because we like paying for things but honestly the best money Ive spent for this phone and I was already unlocked when i bought it but the devs worked hard to create it and it is the simplest thing you will ever do.

No. It it's set for at&t partition configuration.
Looks like the developers will work on a TWRP touch recovery.

It would be awesome if the paid app included Touch clockwork recovery. I bought it off the market to support!
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
Hey so tell us what recovery you like and don't like and why?
I was using twrp but stopped because it screwed up my phone and was having problems flashing some Roms. I just don't think it does a clean wipe just works to fast..... So far clockwork cleans ,wipes more securely and have no problems flashing Roms...

I see this thread getting out of hand and going south quickly. I'm gonna request a mod step in and make a bold suggestion to people on how to keep it clean and not go south. Also make a poll for the thread, makes it look better and more official..
I prefer TWRP, I've been on it since I got the S III (May of '12). I test roms for 3 devs on this phone, and never had an issue. I used to use CWM on previous phones and never had issues there either. I just prefer TWRPs UI.

I've used both and like both, settled on twrp mainly because I find it a little easier to use. CWM looks nicer IMO. I dont' think you can go wrong with either.
I prefer TWRP but with the 4.2+ ROMs I flashed that have the 0 file I have to use CWM.
I'm sure there's something I can do to fix this but I've tried via Google search and have only has luck with CWM. So here I am.

so I have to use cwm.

I use twrp because you can name your back up files. That's probably the only reason I use it. It's UI is more friendly because of the buttons and I'm pretty sure you can theme it now, but I haven't tried that feature yet

Yes, that had happened to me multiple times as well, restoring of backups failing. For that reason I stick to CWM for now. Otherwise IMO TWRP is superior.

I do not backup and restore very often, but twice I have made a backup and restored because I was testing a ROM...but both backups failed and left me to clean flash my ROM again.

Philz recovery will backup and restore touchwiz 4.3 properly. Make sure that you use 6.07.09 version the latest 6.12.xx requires a new binary and script changes to install most roms.
