What RUU Do I Need? - HTC One X

Hi, I have been searching the http://www.filefactory.com/f/7cc7b2fbdd03c031/ directory for my RUU, but there seems to be many UK ones. I want to downgrade back to stock, and I bought my phone unlocked from mobiles.co.uk (so a UK phone), but all of the UK RUU have some sort of carrier attached to it?
Many Thanks

If your phones unbranded you want a ruu with .401. In it

Thanks for the reply and will this work then?
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.29.401.12_Radio_2.1204.127.19_release_271851_signed

Better to go for 2.17.401.2 - always go for the newest (assuming you're unbranded)

True, I wouldnt want them fixing the wifi issue with a software update

Just got a HOX today and before I mess around and install custom roms etc I want to make sure I can go back to stock if needed, I've found a suitable RUU on that page but you have to be a premium member to download them as there over 500mb is there anywhere else they can be found? I need a O2 UK RUU

In that case, try making a goldcard (search the forum for a guide) and use a WWE version. Be sure to use the latest RUU (2.13.707.1 I think).
Edit: Try this, http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph...9.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_159811_signed.exe
You can also go to htcdev.com and try the gingerbread upgrade, I believe that RUU is a universal one.

What I did was restored my original back up, then flashed stock recovery then relocked bootloader then ran the ruu and it wiped everything.
At a guess you'll need the 2.17 stock recovery, not sure where you'll find it unless its on the forum somewhere and the generic 2.17.401 ruu from the filefactory website.

I put my phone back to stock yesterday with the same RUU as you, and did a software update to 4.0.4.
What was the process you followed to get there?

Downloaded ruu, relocked bootloader by fastboot OEM lock or whatever it is and installed ruu by opening executable ruu file on my pc. Maybe do I have to flash recovery with the stock recovery? At the moment it just resets factory settings if I try to go into recovery...

Although I'm not sure why we need this, we know which RUU works.
Try

It might sort your recovery out and won't hurt.

So I tried flashing twrp recovery and its knocked out my sensors again. I've updated to 4.04 and when I tried installing my ruu I downloaded it said wrong version but its the same one I used before I updated to 4.04. What ruu version am I supposed to have now?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
The ruu updated your hboot. The old ruu has a lower hboot version. I think you have a ruu on the 1.29 base you need a 2.17 base ruu now.....please correct me if i'm wrong here mates !
Verstuurd van mijn HTC One X
Ok So I used the ruu to find out what version I should download. It is my current version is 2.17.980.6 and it wanted to downgrade it to 1.29........ So obviously that won't work. I went to the same thread I used when downloading the last ruu but can't find the 2.17.980.6 ruu anywhere. I'll keep searching but has anyone seen it??

[Q] HTC One X Shipped JB Update

Hi guys I have noticed in footballs' thread he recently added the RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_3.14.707.24_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_296434_signed.exe, my question is will I have any issues flashing to that ROM from my current which is still stock RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_S_HTC_Europe_2.17.401.2_Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_274900_signed.
And if not how do I flash that rom? I know its from a different CID but its English right...and it should work fine, Im eager to get JB on my device. Goldcards are out of the question (no sd card slot ... ) obviously.
I'd like to keep my device on an original ROM with S-on etc afterwards.
Thanks

You need an s-off one x to do that. But s-offing the one x is not yet possible so your best choice is to find an s-off one x. My hox is s-off, you can have it for a discounted price of 1000 dollars!

Depends on what the tool does. When the tool is leaving the bootloader locked then yes you have to unlock it again and flash the custom recovery and flash the desired JB rom
But as far as i can see the tool does it al ....also unlocking the bootloader ... etc etc
updating your hboot to newest firmware for jb also means that you can't flash anymore roms based on the older firmware right ? (or atleast means that there will be a lot problems with "older" roms)
can we downgrade the hboot (firmware) at anytime ?

Thats incorrect ! You can still flash ics roms on the newer hboots. No problem at all !
There are some cases with aosp roms that require a different boot.img, and that gps doesn't work.
Downgrade of the hboot is impossible unless you have a s-off phone. And that is most unlikely
