I love Swiftkey3 keyboard, but today discovered that the authors must be democrats!!! Why do I think this, well....I typed in the name "Joe" and the first suggested next word was....wait for it....."Biden"......I just about lost it!!!
You have something against Democrats I guess? Ya know if you type any previous presidents first name it will be in the top 3.

Actually, I was just having fun. But your little tip was right on the money. Tried quite a few first names and bam...there they were.
Is this unique to Swiftkey, or is it more a function of the basic vocabulary list that predictive keyboards use?
I typed in **** on the stock keyboard and iPhone popped up as my next word
That's funny cause when I typed in **** Obama came up

It's unique to SwiftKey. They put in names that they figure their users are going to be using, like for the Olympics they updated their English language packs.

So. I got my 5th android telephone now, Galaxy S2, and i absolutely love it. I have ofcourse, rooted the phone and removed most of the crappy samsung apps as most of them just seem to drain battery.
Its almost the perfect phone for me now. There is however one thing that remains and endless anoyance for me. Was the same with S1.
How on earth do you remove that redicilous lockscreen? Or change it to something else? I dont mean changing the lockscreen picture. Just replacing it with some other lock screen. Like the one that comes with HTC Desire and so on.
Just to be clear. I know how to turn lockscreen of. But i want to CHANGE it. I hate the swipething.
5th Android phone and you haven't heard of Market?.. Widgetlocker or who knows how many other options? Maybe post questions in the Q&A section also.
Sent from my HTC Flyer using vodka
You can try "widget locker" from Market and there is also an app "Agile Lock" that makes the same Lockscreen as its in Sense 3.0 (with the Ring and shortcuts).

Widget locker and Agile lock(currently using) are the best alternatives to stock lockscreen. But if you like to read your facebook n rss feeds then you might want tui try out the Flyscreen which is also free. There are other apprentices as well. But these are the best ones to my concern.

Or most people are mobile with tapa or xda app and could really careless if a comma or letter is misspelled. As long as they got there question, post across...
Some of us are too busy to triple check our post before posting them (im at fault) but try our best so it is readable... Lol we dont get graded on our posts... Someone people on here have to much time to rant/rave about others... (not at anyone in general)
Again this post is not directed at anyone or intended to hurt anyone's feelings..
And i blame most of my grammar errors on my phone... Get me near a full sized laptop and I will tear it up... (big hands/thumbs dont work with a 2 inch keyboard on a 4.5 in screen....)

If I have a missed call or sms and hit 'Clear' button on the notification bar I STILL see a small 'circle' overlaying phone icon and/or sms icon respectively and display how many missed calls and/or sms messages I've had. The only way to clear out circle notification overlay is to access the application which to me - does not make any sense. I want my 'Clear' button to clear these out and be done with it! Any suggestions?

Actually, you can never make the notifications go in the iPhone. If you have a missed call, a message, an update, a reminder, anything. You either do what it TELLS you to do, or else, it's gonna bug you forever. Like I said, even a simple app update.
As for your case sir, get another launcher. or disable this feature in whatever launcher you are using. Whether it is Nova, Touchwiz or CM10 and AOKP notification count. Hope this helps.
Still, if you get an iPhone, the people in this forum might get relieved from questions like these in the General section
I noticed this too.. guess Apple patented that?
Searched google, found solution: "Settings" -> "Applications manager" -> Select "All" tab -> Click on "BadgeProvider" -> "Disable". You might have to restart your phone. No more circle notification overlays on phone or sms icons!!!

Iphone trolls lol. Remember last week at work when our android phones was listening to the game? Your apple crap was not and asking for updates? Apple and its inferior stuff should never show up in our forums. This is just an example of daily example where apple phones cant do what we can do! Hint Android out sells apple 3-1
@op, that's pretty cool you found the answer to that issue. It's not really an issue though. The clear button is just clearing the notifications which are in the notification area. I'm not completely sure but I think the badges you're referring to are a touchwiz feature. I don't remember if vanilla launchers had badges in the launcher or not. I think a few years ago, when the evo 4g and similar phones were out, there was the vanilla android launcher in with touchwiz and sense. All you had to do was go into applications then all then look for the launcher and or twlauncher and hit the clear default button and then home then select then choose the plain launcher to have the somewhat pure Android experience. I haven't played around with it in a long time so I don't know if it's still packed in the rom.

When you get/have a girlfriend of 8 yrs with two children (6-2) and you get a "break" hope yours goes without feeling the need to post your relief. The point is that you broke THE cardinal rule of xda - NEVER EVER EVER EVER post a non-development thread in development. Did I mention NEVER? So if I were you and you don't want the ban hammer, I'd be careful about giving attitude to the experienced members who try to set you straight.
