Are you supposed to just install and forget about it or do you have to configure itso that videos play? Couldn't watch a video yesterday due to not having flash. I've honestly never had this problem before.

Can't download

Somehow whenever I go to download a zip file from an xda link. It tells me download unsuccessful? Is this a new feature on gingerbread? Is there a workaround?

Try using Dolphin, Boat Browser, or Opera. These always work for me when the stock browser fails.

Another member was having the same problem in another thread. Below is my quoted advice:
Download this app (it's tiny) from the market. It works with your native browser by unlocking it's ability to download files of all types. Install it and open it. Arrow back out. Then open your browser and download your file like usual. You should be able to download any file of any type from now on.

Tried to download roms and themes and can't download anything anymore. Am running jugs and have androzip installed. Tried dl through browser but still no go. Any help please? Everything says content not supported. I am using lcd modder pro but this happens when using it or when it is uninstalled.

The blank screen for *swf is a result of an incorrect Adobe Flash version. Most probably you have installed the version for 2.x or 3.x android. What you need is the one for android 4.x. You can download the correct versions by searching "adobe flash android archive" (I'm not allowed to post links). Scroll down and you'll see them.
I recommend you download all versions for 4.x and see which one works for you.
