Hi there, I'd like to know how to compile a custom version of CM7, removing some apps bundled with CM and adding some new ones.... let's take ADWLauncher for example, I don't really care for it; so I'd like to replace it with Go Launcher..... the only problem is I don't know how.... anyone willing to help a desperate man out???
Just download the cm7 version to PC then extract zip.in system apps delete what you don't want/copy what you do want to add and paste.when happy re zip extracted folders then flash as you would normally. Hope I helped.
Thanks mate, I just have 2 more questions.
Is there some sort of dependencies file to regenerate after doing this?
Also I have read somewhere that files need to be signed to be flashed, how do I do that?
Mmmm I dunno about them questions. I just name the new zip exactly how the old was. I have done this method about 100 times and not had a problem.if you are s-off then there is the adb. Way but I use this method. Be careful not to zip old zip file into new zip, just the 2 extrcted folders need re. Zipping.

I think cost the package is already signed its ok.on my PC with winrar I just add to archive and rename zip then flash using phone recovery. PS miss typing cost posting using phone.lol.
sorry forgot, also the boot file too.
Thanks, I'm gonna try this when CM7.1 stable is released... don't wanna have to use any app like titanium backup pro to remove them, I wanna have a CM7.1 only bundled with the apps I want.
Hi, I searched the forum and didn't seem to find much on this, only on "fake notifications" of low space when there is space.
My problem is a little different, my phone reports almost nothing being on it, but my available space is only 1.32 Gb out of 12 available.
When adding up the things stored in it though, it gets only to about 5 Gb (see print screen). Where is the rest of this stuff coming from? How can I clean it safely?
I am running Frosty JB v7 currently, on stock li7 kernel. And i have barely any apps installed.
My guess is the files from apps I installed prior to flashing Frosty JB are still there somewhere, even though i did a factory reset. (i had a few big games like Shadowgun, nova 3, Riptide GP, and a few more, lots of smaller games too. If this is the case, how can I remove them safely? )
Guys, i'm sorry about bumping my own post like this, but please, can anyone help?

First off, do you have any items in your recycle bin from your internal storage? If so, empty your recycle bin and check your storage. Secondly, check inside your internal storage for your CWM or TWRP folder. Check to see how many backups you have located in those folders, because twrp and cwm wipes wont delete nandroid backups. Do a factory wipe from stock and you should be good.
Did you wipe system before installing your current rom?
I think mattedwards2686 has your ansewer, nandroid backups.

No. Nandroid backups would be under miscellaneous. I just checked.

Best option is superwipe. I am using frosty and had the same issue - it helped. Other options discussed here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2004089

I had the exact same issue on my G2X. Wiping everything including system fixed it. Make a backup of your apps and stick them on your pc for safe keeping. Wipe/format everything. Install your favorite rom and reinstall your apps with titanium backup.

thank you for the help guys, i used super wipe, and now, instead of 1Gb free, i have 10Gb o/
I was a little reluctant in wiping everything and starting from 0 again, but used the new update on frosty as an excuse
I tried restoring 4 backups I made with CWM and the MD5 values didn't match. I successfully restored 1. What causes this and is there a way to test in advance if the backup was corrupt?
Is my reasoning wrong: I'm trying out different ROMs and before I flash to a new one I backup with CWM so when I decide which one I like I flash back to it?
Thanks for any replies.
It happens to me everytime I change the name of the backup folder and left an "space"
For Example:
"Arconium 5 backup" = MD5 mismatch... I need to name it "Arconium5backup" without spaces to make it work
...format sd from pc.
Inviato da me!

The generated folder name cant be changed, well it can but if you want to restore using it you will need to rename it back to what it was.

What have you done prior to this? GPE conversion? Changed partition sizes?
Someone had the exact same problem yesterday...The /data partition was corrupted or something along those lines....Let me try to find the thread, there were instructions there.

Please stop creating a new thread every time you think of another question.
You duplicate threads have been deleted so stick to this thread from now on.
OK, If everything else you have tried fails check this thread here:

You will need a file which the poster of the solution couldn't post because of his low post count, so maybe you can contact him directly.
But of course, this might not be the same problem with what you have, even though it seems pretty similar.
Did you attempt to do a factory reset in bootloader? Because this will corrupt the internal memory on modded devices (don't do it, if you didn't already).
Didn't change anything
Didn't do that Because I knew that it most likely wouldn't fix my problem
Is there any way though to skip going into recovery and just restore my backup through adb?

Yes, you can boot recovery by adb. But I don't think this will help. Your issue is not recovery, its /data is not mounting.
Try connecting to your computer and formatting the internal memory (in Device Manager on a Windows PC).

Ok, good (that you knew, at least).
Trying to eliminate that as the cause, although its curious this seems to be a fairly common issue on this phone. Another post just today, and there have been others. http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/twrp-unable-to-mount-data-t2852616

Stripped Stock B150 & B160 Roms
This is based off @madvane20 Pokemon Backup
This is similar to the Bare Naked Rom only this time it's fully unrooted
So any apps or Games that require a non-rooted system will work on this Rom
List of known working games / Apps
Pokemon Go
Mario Run
waiting on more info .. you tell me
Note: You may need to make a call with the phone before it will receive incoming calls (something about Dialer permissions )
Flashing instructions.. You Must already be on the same firmware as the rom. (If you need to get to B150/B160 Click here)
Copy the Stripped.Stock.Rom.zip to the phones Ext_sdcard and reboot to TWRP
Wipe / Format Data / type Yes Not Needed for B160 or to keep your Data
You Must Mount - System / Cust before you start the Install.
Install the Rom and After install wipe cache / dalvik and reboot.
Data Traffic management is their, Notification Settings is their, Visual Voicemail and a couple other things that were requested from the Bare Naked thread are all in their ..Enjoy![/SIZE]
Download v2 is a fix for the Google Videos I missed removing and a small cleanup
~New B160 Download~
~Older B150 Download v2~
Huge thanks to @madvane20 for the Boot.img that doesn't need rooted to Boot !!!

Whenever I update from 104b to 105b can I use this rom or do I need to use the one in the guide?

it's not nice to Quote the entire first post it clogs up the thread.
If you would like to list what I missed and you would like removed just ask.
This Rom is not Bare Naked, it is a Stripped version of your Stock UnRooted Backup
Some users requested a Rom that was Stripped down but still included Data Traffic Management / Notification Settings / Visual Voicemail / Chrome Browser / AT&T Smart Limits and Device Help ...their left in intentionally.
I did miss Google Videos and have repacked the rom after removing it.
Pokemon Go wouldn't load. Tested Safty Net and it failed.

yea i didnt realize i did that til after the post its up to you if u want to compare the files if not its ok i will make a customized stockish rom with files removed and list what apps it has rather than try to explain all the folders and files i went though to clean it all up. but my focus atm is to fix rr which will make the stock stuff pointless. i wonder why he is saying safety net is failing.

Still don't understand what happen. I did it word for word what you put in the guide 3 times.
What worked with wiping everything (System, Data, Internal Storage, ect) then Reflashing your b150 Rom.
Whenever I flashed your Unrooted Rom I didn't wipe everything but I did whenever I flashed Mad's. Maybe, TWRP isn't wiping something when flashing is all I can guess.

My first time trying to update I didn't swipe the allow system modification (Kept it read only) but I did mount System, Cust, and Data. Second time I did swipe and triple checked they where mounted. Third time TWRP started restarting my phone over and over and over. So I had to shut down and reload it up and flash again. The last time I wiped everything so I wouldn't have a system, cust or data and that seemed to be the trick getting it to update from b140 to b150.
