Lock screen Wallpaper - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Has anyone noticed that if you set the exact same wallpaper to your home and lockscreen, that the lockscreen's wallpaper is always made slightly brighter? I noticed this using specifically black wallpapers, and was wondering if anyone else caught it. Its slightly annoying since it doesn't blend with my status bar perfectly.

Are you using the ripple effect on the lock screen? If you are that is why the lock screen wallpaper looks brighter because the ripple effect is showing the image submerged in water.

Lock Screen Wallpaper - Annapurna Range, Nepal 720x1280

Here's a pic I took while on the Annapurna Base Camp Trek in Nepal.
I think it works really well as a lock screen wallpaper especially on the Marble White SGS3. Lines up well with the clock of the lock screen.
Thought I'd share.
Just Perfect

Lock screen wallpaper defects! What the hell is this?

If I set the same wallpaper to home screen and lock screen, the lockscreen one looks so bad. It looks almost like the screen is defective. It has blotches of discolorations mostly on the left side of the screen.
I know screen is perfect cuz whem I open the same image from gallery its perfect. Even on the home screen it looks perfect.
It drives me crazy. Its more visible if you out pure black wallpaper. It looks like you dropped bleach on the left side of screen.
What the hell is this?

Try changing the lock screen style from ripple to something else, then change it back

Lock screen Wallpaper

What is everyone using to set lock screen wallpaper? I use the.stock wallpaper chooser but it like zooms into the picture and its really blurry and not even sharp. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

I use a lot of custom HD wallpapers I make from scratch using pretty much any photo editing program. If you make a wallpaper that's exactly the dimensions of your phones native resolution, there is no zooming-in or distortions. However, I don't always do this, and I'm usually generally okay with the results.
What is the resolutions for the note 2 lock screen? And for the home screen??? I'm running jelly thunder so I have a scrolling wallpaper on home screen... I guess I can use Photoshop and make wallpapers if I known the exact resolutions...

Dimensions for a wallpaper image should be 720x1280 (width, height) to avoid any cropping.

Lock screen weather

What would people recommend for a live wallpaper weather lock screen. I want it
Only on the lock screen not on my home Page..

You can just set lockscreen wallpaper only when you long press on home and use the stock windy weather lwp or whatever weather lwp you'd like. I prefer to use widgetlocker for my lockscreen with the built in lockscreen disabled just for all the customizations available using widgetlocker.
I like to break stuff!

It seems like some things automatically to both. I keep thinking I an going to get widget Locker but hate wasting money. I buy so many things just to find out they are not good enough. I like it when they have a trial Version to use first just for.. that reason.
Hmm I have no live wallpapers on my phone for lock screen. .windy only shows up under home screen not lock screen

Widgetlocker is definitely worth the $3 it makes the lockscreen really yours. Tons of themes, use your own widgets, customization you wont ever find on any stock lockscreen
And what you'll need to do for lwp on stock lockscreen is set a lwp for both home and lockscreen then go back and change just the wallpaper for the homescreen

I could have sworn I tried that. But I will try again . I had looked into it before but something I wanted to do could not be done so I didn't do it. .Course now I have no idea what that was. I think it was putting email widget on the lockscreen bur the author said default email app was not supported. .?
Yup when I pick the home screen from my gallery it automatically makes my la lock screen the Same

Strange. I tested mine last night I had to set both home and lock screen as a lwp and then go back and choose homescreen only and set a different wallpaper and my lwp stayed on my lockscreen. And I used the default lockscreen after disabling widgetlocker its even easier with widgetlocker just choose your lwp from settings > alternate wallpaper

Now that is weird, it should either change both to the same thing or leave the lockscreen alone altogether. not sure what could cause that to happen

black pixel lits up

Hello, the question is when you use a black wallpaper on the s3 the pixel don't lit up right ? so I downloaded a black wallpaper and tested it out. I noticed all the pixels are on,but it is not pure black(like when you lock the phone). I have tried 3-4 types of black wallpaper but none on them seem to work
I have tried it on stock Note 2 but it is the same. I tired using paint but no luck.

True black does not light up the pixels. I used Paint on Windows 7 and created a black wallpaper. As for the lockscreen, if you have the ripple effect on, it will not be true black as it is part of the effects. Turn it off and you will see the difference.
