Hello, I am having a horrible problem with sending MMS with the new CM10 rom I had flashed. I tried the paranoid android and the alpha 5.3- sadly none of them would send mms.
I reset to factory specs/ wiped cache & dalvik then reinstall several times and nothing.
- update my profile.
- airplane mode on and off.
- mms gateway # (i think that's what its called)
any help would be appreciated, i've been in and out of gingerbread/ics/jb trying to get this to work. thank you

Have you tried a third party app such as hand cent or gosms ?

Yes, i have.. i tried those two you just mentioned, i also installed the jb 4.1 sms app, tried apex, go and holo launchers as well. thank you
Try deleting this file then rebooting.

Are you on wifi? I had the same problem on wifi but when i switched to 3g i was able to send and receive messages it still took a while to send but it worked
I myself have been having the same problem, alas I'm in a different rom, The Blu Kaban. I don't think my problem is a derivative of the rom, but i'm at the same loss for how to fix it as the OP. I deleted the above mentioned file and rebooted, and it didn't work.

Thanks again for all the help, but can someone tell me how to get to telephony.db? -i have no clue on where to find this.. as far sending thru 3g, i tried it literally two minutes ago since it was mentioned- i stood outside for and it just said "sending.." which was a downer(((( but its okay. I'm gonna get this figured out because it's too good and smooth of a ui to just give up on #appleSUCKS!

Ok, so i did some google reading and i downloaded root explorer then deleted the file, unfortunately- nothing(( thanks again for the ideas- after exhausting my options/ideas on how to fix this.. it's always refreshing to hear another

You said that u installed the jb 4.1 MMS app? Is that the same thing as the new MMS.apk that cm released a few days ago?? ID give that a try if I were you...

aOH damn!! - i just read about it and now i'm hot and bothered.. i did not know of this soo i'll be back with an update!!

I went back to the newest MIJJz ICS blend where everything was working well.

It works on cm10. Probably a bad flash.

DUDE!! that is such a coincidence that i was also just using mijjz goodness rom, then i flashed the alpha CM10 ROM and been having battery issues AND mms issues where i couldnt send or recieve them.. Now first off so u know my sprint et4g is flashed to boost mobile and long story short i lost 3g data and am currently only able to ue wifi SO i have 2 questions that im hoping you ould help with
1. Do you think if i follow the steps you provided to solve the mms issue even tho i dont have data? coud i replace that step with a real strong wifi signal?
2, would you say that this ROM the CM10 JB HYBRID ROM is better/stable/better battery than the alpha CM10 JB ROM?
I appreciate your time and hope you can help

Flash via your newly installed CWM
Power off and hold Volume up and Power buttons
(Optional) Wipe cache x3, wipe data x3, wipe dalvik cache x3

It's Sprint, ergo, CDMA.
Seems to me like the CDMA tabs never got much love!
I had a couple problems installing it nothing I couldn't fix. Installed on Sprint tab. Had JT CM7 on there with cwm 5. something. When installed from the CWM 5. it stuck at samsung logo. rebooted into CWM again which had been changed to 4. in initial flash, did the 3 times wipe of everything again then reflashed and it worked. SO far I'm liking it really smooth. I have it OC with SetCPU at 1200. Haven't played with it much yet but so far so good.

If it's not working, reflash with Odin the stock rooted kernel available by rodderick in the mega starter thread. The experimental one I included seems problematic.

Been using since yesterday, no issues or fc at all so far. Only small ripple was music player would randomly skip. Installed winamp and that completly solved the problem. Battery life has been the best of any rom Ive flashed.

Our Sprint tablets need some love too! Unfortunately this power menu reboot option is killing me. I'm not sure what I'm missing.

If you're familiar with my Samsung Epic 4G Rom (or if you're not, click here!) then you'll know that I currently provide matching blue and green themes, with a red one on the backburner.
The default theme for Osprey is WIP port of the green theme. I will also be porting the blue theme when that's done, and the red theme when I make it.
@randomking.. If I download this can I just do the wipe cache thing and just flash over my old rom. Don't have access to pc is the reason I'm asking. Thanks

I don't see why not. No special steps involved.
Thats all I did, download to my tab. Reboot into cwm wipe everything three times flash and wait for reboot. First bootup takes a little longer than normal though.

When I first flashed from cm7 with clm 5. Smething it wouldnt boot. Reboot into recovery and check your cwm again it should have flashed the cwm Random has included with the rom. If it has triple wipe again and reflash, then it should work. Took maybe 3~5 min max to boot after reflash

Hey Tomorrow im getting my S3 at&t. The phones going to be new and i plan on Rooting and CWM on it immediately. Im wondering if i need to do anything before i install this Rom? Like flash it to another Rom first. Hoping things go smoothly

Yes you do sir.
You first need to get either aokp jellybean, or cm10 to your phone.
Then
Reboot.
Then flash paranoid.
Clear dalvik/cache.
Reboot.
Then flash job gapps.
Enjoy kind sir.

Alright And those Roms will install without any issue? Also wondering if anyway possible i can get the soft keys on the Rom. (I just don't like the S3 Physical button it doesn't fit in my hand perfectly). Any Mods or something.

And yes. Paranoid is a whole different class of ROMs. Think of it or rather it kind of is a mini tablet phone hybrid. I mean you can change it to your liking. But don't get confused when you first boot it up.
And yes. There is a soft keys option. It is turned off by default though.

See the nice thing about paranoid is that dpi is separated from layout. You have to go over to the layout column and change it there. You can have tablet ui for apps at any dpi you want with this ROM.
Did the a2dp/Bluetooth issue get fixed in this ROM, I know that the CM10 ROM has not been updated yet,. I found a rom that did have a2dp, but would love to check this baby out soon!

Anyone have a fix for the soft key's leds and is anyone else having a problem when receiving a phone call and the phone taking forever to wake up?
I have a weird issue.. I have 2 gmail accounts, 1 personal , 1 work.

Just wanted to say that I flashed this rom , the latest jb apps(not the one in the OP), and ktoonz latest jb kernel all at the same time using TWRP recovery and the only issue I am having, besides an extra buttery experience, is the camera force closing after I take a picture.
Hey i tried installing the Rom, i have the AOKP jellybean but when i go into recovery and try to install the ROM it says installation aborted. Am i doing something wrong? I didn't Wipe before trying to flash according to instructions

I have the problem that after flashing hybrid on AOKP Rom my battery went from 100% to 14% in two hours with minimal use, which is way faster than when I was just on AOKP. Anyone have a solution, Camera freezes and closes after trying to take a picture....Solution?

Couple things I've run in to. First...contacts forcecloses ever time I try to open them. I tried to fix permissions, but no go. Secondly, the clock on the lock screen is screwed up. It shows a number then colon then either one or two numbers. It doesn't correlate to any time. I tried turning time off and back on as well as turning on/off the double clock, but nothing helped that either.
As far as good apps to add to the multi view window, I would say gmail and tapatalk would be two I would personally like to see.

It shows a number then colon then either one or two numbers. It doesn't correlate to any time. I tried turning time off and back on as well as turning on/off the double clock, but nothing helped that either.
As far as good apps to add to the multi view window, I would say gmail and tapatalk would be two I would personally like to see.

1. No problem with Contacts. Have been calling and texting all day.
2. No problem with clock. By any chance... did you flash any mods? Like power menu mods? The only time I have seen the clock do that is when the framework files are mismatched and its calling the wrong ids in the framework-res. Example, an older android.policy.jar could be calling mismatched ID's and it comes up with seemingly random stuff. BUt I can assure that the ROM does not do that on a fresh load with no mods or back ups.
You may want to download, wipe and flash again.

Same here, clean install, contacts app FC's
FYI, I can access Favorites through the Dialer, but thats all. Can also access all contacts in Messaging app. It's just the actual Contacts app that FC'S

To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks. This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode. This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course. Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size. You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to. You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot. You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode. Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.

How do I change my DPI on this ROM?
Go to Settings> Paranoid Settings.
In this option You will find the following options:
Work space> this is where you can have your phone look like a tablet and others....
Apps> this is where you can change any APPS DPI. Example: This means you can run your phone on stock 240 DPI, and make lets say Gmail look like the tablet version of the app by setting the Gmail.apk to 128 DPI!

I know it say's Gapps: recommended: 10/11 Gapps however any issues gapps-jb-20121212 or NXT GEN 4.2 Gapps Odex?
OK I was to quick however gapps-jb--20121212 kept saying keyboard AOSP not rtesponding and FC'ing as well as play market error. Since keyboard error thought I would flash KDH NXT GEN 4.2 Odex and only issuw was play market error went to systems-apps-play market clear settings and then opened play market accept and opened as usual.
Update: Google Play said some apps not for my device decided to just flash recommended 10/11 gapss and did not make any other changes and now all apps are compatible and I didn't make any settings changes like I've done in the past.
I would say use recommended 10/11 gapps.

3g data not working
I love this rom. Wifi is working but no 3g data for Metropcs. 4g is connected and couldn't access the internet. Any idea?

Ok, finally installed. In my case, my system did not appreciate the AK kernel and the com.android.phone app was FC'ing constantly. A re-flash without the kernel worked like a charm, but I was having some issues with mobile data until I toggled it off and on under settings.
All appears to be well now.

Anyhow, I took Nephilim's advice and installed ASKP-B17MR2 and this thing flies!
3.94 up and running. Nothing major to report so far. Mobile data did not connect right off the bat, but it either sorted itself out or toggling on/off a couple of times did the trick. Everything I use on a regular basis seems to be functioning fine. No kernel, no mods. Battery consumption seems a little erratic right now but appears to be steadying. Still a bit early to tell for sure.

Can someone test this out for me:
1. Enable tablet UI
2. Turn on Halo
3. Get a notification
Q1. Does the notification appear in your status/navigation bar (I do NOT mean notification shade pulldown) OR just halo OR both (intended)?
Q2. If only Halo, when you turn off Halo does the status bar stop giving notifications?
My situation is:
A1. Only Halo, AND A2. yes.
Just did a completely clean install (only because I was hung on the Google boot screen from 3.93 and had to do a complete wipe to get a functional phone again). 3.94 works really well, stock kernel, original bootloader. Just flashed the two zips in the OP. No more boot issue either.
I did a complete clean install with the two zips provided in the OP and all seems pretty well except for mobile data. I cannot for the life of me get it to toggle. I tried wiping multiple times and even installing AOKP kernel with no luck. Anyone else experiencing this or have a fix other than toggle it a bunch of times?
Update: I just realized that in the Mobile network settings > Network Mode was set to WCDMA. I switched it to LTE/CDMA and all is well again. Now I am having problems getting Netflix to install. Getting "Package file is invalid." error? Anybody else struggling with Netflix?

I have not installed this, but i know from other ROMs, if you get that package error, you can usually fix it by signing out of your Gmail account and then signing back in. Or clearing cache/data for the Play Store in the Apps section in Settings.

I tried installing ASKP-B6 with the ROM and GAPPS, and com.android.phone kept FCing for me as well. I'm kinda nervous to flash the B17MR2..
