I decided I'm going to start making S3 profile signatures. Some may be good, some may be bad. I made a few Original Evo signatures and they seem to still be used. But anyways, here is my first one, Good or bad depends on personal preference =p I will be adding more signatures over time. So expect more!
Just remove the space between G and ] in [/IMG ] and add to your signature area of user control panel.

+1... I don't need my signature image to be the size of the Milky Way.
600x200 is a standard signature size lol. May look big on your phone but I'm reality its not that big. If you go smaller the image looks horrible unless you place only text

I will try later. Blending 2 colors takes a little more work than changing one color XD but I'll give it a shot

Unfortunately after trying, green+purple looked sort of horrible in every way i tried.. and galaxys are generally one relative color =p Do you have any specific color you would like? It will result coming out In 2 colors kind of. Like the image would be a purple galaxy with some pink. like its currently blue and aqua

If you are taking request, then where it is blue now (or aqua or whatever the exact color is) then it would be cool to see a red. Almost like a blood red....

Interesting. idk why. Copy the code, go to your XDA control pannel, then edit signature, and add it in there, then remove the space between G and ] in [/IMG ]

Lol I'll try XD but I have to return my s3 tomorrow for a replacement =( I got s factory defected one XD random freezing and crashing and low scores on nenamark2 and benchmarks even after 2 factory resets

I was tryin 2 talk about the Crimson theme its nice
but the honeycomb is my favorite and well i would like 2 have red

You can take the images from the themes you've found and have them replace the Fusion theme images. I took images from both GingerRed and Red Gingerbread and these is what came out of it, but its a WIP. That is sick!!! The only problem I have with it (and with a lot of other themes) is the number of signal bars! It takes away from the theme! Can you make the signal bars smaller like the ones in SRF 1.1.0? Oh, and get rid of the AM/PM

What do you mean as a transparent image? The letters being transparent or another picture in the background?
Instead of black background a transparent background that allowed you design to take on the color of the page it is posted on...

I figured a thread with a different tone rather than the norm of a ROOT based thread would be a good way to switch things up around here. Kind of like a take away from the obvious.

Here are my transparent themed MMS apps. They took some doing, but I finally got them to play nicely. These can now flash over any Gingerbread rom on BML or MTD.
I couldn’t find any transparent Mms.apk to work on Epic Gingerbread for me and I really missed it from EC05. So, I’ve made it work on my own.
Feel free to incorporate any of these into Roms, but be sure to give thanks and leave a link to here so people know where to find more!

thanks SO much for this.. I don't have any experience really with android, but i do have experience with graphics, Photoshop, some web design and catch on quickly to new things. If you need any help doing grunt work like coloring themes or something, i could probably be of use.
I designed my website and did a ton of code edits to get plug-in software to look the way i wanted it to. www.turbosocks.com .. its nothing special, but i have some experience playing with stuff of the like.

Blue & Gray is my fav too, but I would like to bring the gray down more to a blacker darker tone. The transparency brought me some difficulty. However, the coloring is easy to swap out, you only need to open the .apk with 7zip and change your bubbles of choice. Unfortunately, they're .9.png's and require extra steps to work with properly, otherwise I'd pump out a bunch more of these sooner.
This is not my creation, I take no credit for it. The name of the zip tells the story.

No... when presenting a MOD it is best to give at least 1 screenshot so flashers have an idea of what to expect this way a decision can be made if time wants to be taken out of the day to go through all these steps

Lmao dam.. I didnt know download and flash was to difficult. My bad.
Its not hard, but i as well would NOT flash a theme of any kind that did not have at least one picture to show what it may look like. Why waist the time if the OP can not use some of his to show what it looks like. But this was not the OP's theme and he was just sharing his find. either way i see the point. but Theme means Screens to me.

Alright lemmie get this strait.. op took the time outa his day to share something with u guys and all u can do is ***** and moan about not having a transparent screen shot... if it bothers u guys soo much flash and post one.

the theme just makes all your menus and such transparent, no point of pictures as it looks different for everyone, depending on the wall paper or live wallpaper you use, and i flashed this over the aosp theme on jedi rom, works flawlessly and looks awesome. thank you for this
Omg, are you kidding me. It's transparent, what else can it mean. It doesn't make your phone transparent. Those kind will be out soon. I'll remove the part about twisting your arm.

Lol those transparent phones wont be out for a while
pics as you requested though, im using alienshapes as my live wallpaper and you can see everything is transparent

I thought i would post this for everyone, even if it isnt a massive deal and probably not something most need... We were all noobs once, so if it helps someone get their phone a little closer to what they want... Or if it helps get someone into making a theme... Then i cant say having this up is a bad thing at all...
So its a simple MOD that will allow you to add your own holo dark images to any ROM... Yes, this will even work for those of you running a theme... Where you maybe don't like the holo dark image(s) used...
Simple instructions for a simple MOD...
- Download "MyBackground.zip" from here and save it to your computer!
- Download the "HoloImages.zip" from here and save it to your computer...
- Drag and drop the two images from "HoloImages.zip" onto your desktop and edit them however you like! (Id stay at 720x1280 or stock 500x500)

- Now open each Image and edit as you wish! I would recommend a simple program like GIMP or Paint.net to edit .png files...
- Once you have your image(s) just right, save them...
- Now open "MyBackground.zip" with 7-zip or WinRAR (WinfRAR seems to work better for VRtheme stuff)
- Go into:
Code:
vrtheme -> system -> framework -> framework-res.apk -> res -> drawable-nodpi
- Add your new images (it will override the current images)
- Once added, save "MyBackground.zip".... "As"... That means change the name of the zip and save it as a new file...
- Drop this into your phones storage and boot into recovery!
- Backup... Duh...
- Flash...
- Enjoy!
The absolute worst thing that can happen, is it simply won’t work... I suggest a backup, just because its a good idea... That said you really can’t even boot-loop if you follow the above... If the image(s) are named wrong, or the wrong file type... It simply won’t work... The holo background you had previous to a your flash... Will simply still be present..
NOTE: If your ROM had a transparent holo, this MOD will NOT break it... If you flashed a theme with a transparent level... Again this will NOT break it... Simply set your image(s) to the desired transparent level...

How it looks is completely up to you... All theme work is trial and error... What you think looks great on your laptop, may not look great in the background of your settings or dial keypad...
Here is a sample showing stock black... To a more Touchwiz blue... As i think this is where Samsung went wrong... A simple attempt to match their blue inside the background completely changes the look of Touchwiz... Its cleaner... Its vibrant... Its still classy...
But in the end, it really does loop back around to you as a user, and what you think looks good... I can post screen shots all day, and never once hit the mark with everyone...

Not quite your mod, but did tell me where the images for the background came from, which turned on the bulb on how to do this

Is there a way you could post the background image that you used in this screenshot? That looks simply perfect but my computer is out of service and I would love to use it for my note 2 background in settings
