[Q] CM7+Sprint VVM app: why don't the voicemails actually go away when I delete them?

In case thread title is not clear, in CM7 the Sprint VVM app I installed tells me "You have No Voicemail Messages" but when I *dial* in to my real voicemail box, I have a lot of "new" messages even though I deleted them earlier using the VVM app.
There. I asked it. This is the "Q&A" section. I have a "Q". Does anyone have a (helpful, non-noob-flaming) "A"?
Because I already tried asking this in the "General" section (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1042171 ) but didn't get any love. Maybe someone here is up for the challenge.
(And no, I don't want to "run away!" to Google Voice.)
Apologies if it's been solved somewhere already, but I really did spend a long time googling this and couldn't find a solution.

I would try uninstalling it, reinstalling the app with data to start with, then make sure your voice mail is set to "my carrier."

Thanks for the tip: I uninstalled and started over, only this time ignoring step 10 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=982966 . Works like a charm this time! Mad props to the rocker.

Going to try this now! I have recently also had this issue on the MIUI rom (v1.4.22). Hopefully this works for me as well.

Looking for a free printing app

I tried printershare, but they want 13 bucks. Are there any free apps in can use? I'm rooted and running miui rom. Didn't see any apps packaged in with this rom like some others do.

There is a search button on your Droid Incredible 2. You open your market app, then hit the search button. Type printer. You wasted my time so Im wasting yours.

Plus I did what the other person rudely suggested and found no apps that look helpful...basically it was as helpful as the person who said to do it was..

Kid, this is the second thread I have seen you be a complete rude assh**le in. You need to grow up, if you don't want to help then simply keep your mouth shut. It's one thing to make suggestions to people in a respectful manner but you have just been inappropiate with your responses. Nobody forces you to read certain threads, the only one that wasted your time is you, the thread header was pretty obvious on what the OP was writing about, you could have chosen not to view it.

Thanks for the kind replies guys. After searching for awhile I found a canon app that will work for what I need.
I know how to use the search button like anyone else. Like some of you have stated, i feel forums are for helping others find things that took awhile to find yourself. Saving others the headaches and mistakes you might have made is what forums are for. I do understand there's a fine line between helping others and doing all the work for them though. Thanks again!

You must not visit the internet much. If they were flaming you you'd know it. You have a legitimate question I'll admit, one that I've wondered but since I don't watch movies on my phone anymore it's irrelevant. Still, it probably could have been answered with the search button.

A Few Testers Wanted "Skyrocket ICS Port for SGH-T989"

I am looking for a few testers for my Skyrocket ICS port for the SGH-T989.
So far everything seems to be working so far....
Issues I have run into so far...
Screen rotation is not working correctly. You will need to turn it off once you get it flashed.
otherwise the screen will go in landscape when held vertical and vice versa.
The Phone will not shut down using the power button. You need to pull the battery to get it to shutdown, otherwise it hangs at the shutdown screen.
I will give XDA developers first shot at it and then a few forum members...
PM me and I will send you a DropBox link with flashing instructions....

you can do reviews of roms without people subscribing to your channel.

Not sure why everyone is being so rude.
To the OP, you don't need devs' permission to do a review. If you have good reviews, people will watch on their own. Also it doesn't hurt to post more, and having a link to your channel in your signature and posting a link to the review in the ROM thread. People will watch (especially people thinking of flashing ROMs) before they do it. Hope this helps.

Watch allaboutandroids YouTube videos as he does great reviews. If you're not at his caliber your videos are poor quality in my book. I like the idea, just don't believe you'll be any good. Mounted camera two free hands and very knowledgeable about rooting and the roms history, not something you'll just be able to pick up and help into. Make sure you read the OP and if it's AOKP or CM10 make sure you know the little things that are broken or borked. Make sure you can show how battery is so you should be on at least the 2nd-3rd charge cycle to show. And don't be afraid of criticism cause YouTube and internet tough guys are notorious for picking on phone reviewers, rom as well I'm sure. Good luck.
