[Q] Github - G2 and Desire Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
i want to ask where your device is on github (jelly bean for desire z).
Please link.
Thanks Mlopik

? Please.... I need this know.

Your question makes no sense, hence no response from anyone.

I'm assuming there is a language barrier here, I'm also assuming you are looking for flinnys github? As the andramodus team is the only ones currently with a jb rom out for the g2/dz
So, have you tried going to github and looking? Because if this is what you want it is there, if something else then you'll need to get someone to translate whatever it is you need KNOW

(Direct Link Hosting)Roms/Kernel/Soft-mods

Hi everyone
Over the next few days I am going to be uploading every WFS roms and kernels including CDMA roms and I will be posting an application that will notify you on an update instead of you checking the threads all the time .
If a dev wishes I do not upload the roms etc to my server just send me a pm and ill skip your item/s
I will also be putting up tweaks that can be flashed via recovery so in other words its going to be a WFS repo do to speak so if users want to make use of this run this program to add the application and build.prop line.
Application being made
No link yet
If I do not get a request from a developer not to put there items up then I will go ahead and upload there items.
Thanks
Eoghan

Great idea,
Tipp: add a download counter and a visitors counter to see how much people visit this site
PS. You can add my Rom
Model: Wildfire S A510e
Recovery: unofficial CWM
Rom: JxMatteo_ROM_V1. 1 with Link2sd - OC - Rooted
Need us to login & upload &/o provide fields for display (name of rom | developer or team) or.. sort (ie aosp, sense, custom | or 2.3.4, 2.3.5, 2.3.7)? A (pertinent) sorting feature (down the road even) would make it even better than the ones that won't support our devices.

More informations, mods, roms and so on will result that more people will buy this device, and with the new people will be more dev and more test and mod user. It will get popular
This is a very good idea.
I only ask that you include kernels aswell!
And remember to put who they were made by lol.

my arabic files shown in my tutorial now support the new JxMatteo v1.2 , and the sense 3.5 wfs cracker , so for devs may you add them to your newer ROM version ? and also add a simple tacoroot and a simple ZergRush temproot also available in my tutorials ,perhaps you can make a one click arabic and root things !

But really someone somewhere is working on it. Its only a matter of time before its released. Don't ask for eta. It pisses off devs

[Q] [ROM Request] SlimBean 3.1 (4.1.2)

Hello all! I just got ahold of a used (mint!) HTC One V, and I'd like to know if any of you is aware of an unofficial or ported SlimBean ROM for this device. I use this ROM daily on my Galaxy Nexus and my Nexus 7, and I really like it. I haven't been able to confirm that it exists for the One V so far, so if anyone has information, please share!
Or, if a dev has planned to port SlimBean, I'll be more than happy to beta test it for the OneV!
Thanx!
Me too

This is the official website for Slimroms. There are many unofficial ports of this ROM too, but there is no list of devices for them.

It's an awesome ROM, imho. So far as I can see, it's the ROM that has provided me with the most ways to customize my phone. My past Nexus S ran it before I retired it, and now my GNex and N7 both do too. I thought CM10 and AOKP had everything, and they almost do, but Slim steps it up and adds more. And it has a much smaller footprint to begin with. All of this, of course, is my personal opinion.
I'm not a dev in any way, shape or form, so I'm not exactly sure what you mean when you say we need AOSP sources (maybe it means a vanilla JB rom for this very device? some devices have official Slimroms support and don't have stock JB roms yet). It's sad if this is what's keeping SlimBean from appearing on the One V.
i'll run a build see how it goes....i'll also run an evervolv build, let me know what else needs updating guys. Also need some of you who can build from source to step up now, this place went to hell when myself and maxwen went to work on X+

Thank you for considering building it! Not a dev myself so can't help much! I went as far as installing Ubuntu x64 in a VM amd following a tutorial on how to install JAVA and the Slimroms git, but then the tutorial ended and I was without a clue about what to do next, lol!
Again, thanx in advance!
EDIT: I don't know if it matters or not, but I would like to see a 3.1 (4.1.2) build instead of 4.2.1. The 3.1 Slimbean build is very stable on other devices, and I think it'd be better than 4.2.1 for now.
I didn't plan on 4.2

Porting from desire c is almost impossible!
Totally different hardware, display resolution and you can't port sense 4 at all.Our device is too weak for it.
There are so many ics roms available for wildfire, why don't you give them a try?
ok
thanks! but i have try all ics rom for wildfire.the best for me is " Ultra Smooth CyanogenMod 9.1 ( v2.0)" but it's only in english.I'd like Italian language how to add this language?

Speaking of devs what ever happen to project llama? Did ben and Ivan just give up. Well they gave us good roms. I can start to try to port and compile. Been around for awhile know a few things.
None of the new ROMs will never be bug free I've been on here for almost 2 years. My xda says a year but thats when I actually made and account. I think we should all start moving on to new phones soon.

As for Project Llama, I managed to contact benjamingwynn via PM and he told me that this project was suspended for now and that they don't know if/when they will continue developing it. To tell you the truth, according to me, this rom had the best potential to be fully functional and bugfree. And this is the real challenge! A fully functional rom. Now, my hope for this is alquez and his cm7.2 rom.

I'm going to write another review on a jelly case and I'm going to try Porting MIUI GB. That's it, then I'm moving on to my dad's old P500 (it has an almost perfect CM10,10.1) and when something worth buying shows up, I'll move on.
Well, these months have been awesome, I've learned a LOT here, and I plan on developing kernels soon (Not this device, either the P500 or my next one).
And i have to thank all of you for making my first android experience awesome.
I'll port it ASAP and I'm done.

The thread is not quite appropriate........
The devs moved on..........this is an old device after all.........Almost all of them have new phones and a few of them develop on those devices.....the others did it for satisfying their development hunger and now do it occasionally
Many people(including me) will sooner or later reduce activity on this forum because of owning a new device
I have seen countless threads like "goodbye threads","tribute threads" etc.....IMHO these threads are useless
No offences to anyone
Yeah...this is becoming like an end of a great era of WFS development...

Project Llama is obselete now, as thehacka1 managed to port PACman.. Project Llama was something like this as far as I can remember...
But it's too early to move to new phones. We'll try to keep the community alive! I'll get a new device in 1,3 years so I have to stay with my WFS... And even if I'd get a new device tomorrow, I wouldn't stop contributing for our WFS, no, I'd do more research until I bricked my phone!

I moved on to the one v but I intend on helping icu with porting some of these marvel roms to the c (with permission of course) it is sad to see it all slowing down but thehacka and olivier are all coming out with fresh takes on cm10. A lot of us have moved on but this forum has done a lot for us, and the device as well. I think there will be new stuff coming around for the marvel/c at least themes and stuff.

I just got a wildfire s within the last 24 hours I plan on developing for. I don't have a major mean dev streak, in fact, I'm quite new to developing for the OG Evo 4G. The Evo forum is still going strong and it's an older device. Now, I've come super freaking close to booting cm10.1 on the Evo, but nay, the device tree and possibly the kernel are leading to problems. Either way, even if the older/good devs are moving on, there are always new people to come over and contribute. The ability to continue creating may spark interest in those otherwise occupied.
