Is this available only in North-American market, I've not seen this in Europe...
Not sure but mine came into the mail today and it feels solid. Don't notice a delay when typing. A mouse area would be sick but then tthat would just be way to cool!

I got one when it was at 1saleaday ($15+$5 shipping). I don't actually have a Galaxy Tab, but after using this with my Nexus 7 for a week, I'm considering getting one just because of how awesome this kb is. The only thing it's missing is a backlight. I highly recommend it at this price if you need a BT KB for an Android device.
If someone could confirm that it fits the 3G tab and not just wifi, I would appreciate it.
very good, thank u
Hello, i would like to know if the high borders at the left and right are disturbing the hands or not.
Any experiences?
They did an excellent job with the design, I use the keyboard for hours in class and don't have any problems with it hurting my wrists etc. I have attached a few photos for your viewing pleasure. They might be huge and picture two no matter what didnt want to post right. I'm on my phone and the app always gives me problems. Sorry.

Having missed the Woot! and other deals, I was happy to notice that this same keyboard "Logitech Keyboard Case" by Zagg was available for $19.99 with free 2 day shipping via Amazon Prime. I wish the keyboard was slightly lighter, but it is definitely a great product. Honestly, if it were any lighter though then it wouldn't be able to hold the tab in portrait mode without tipping.
My only other complaints are common across just about all other BT Android keyboards:
* No "recent apps" key
* No home/end/pgup/pgdn keys
* No delete key, only backspace.
* No escape key, this is a big deal for trying to use the tab as an actual computer (specifically the VI editor )
* No key to unlock the keyboard, you still have to swipe the screen
* The special keys for Cut/Copy/Paste are a waste IMO
I need to look into keyboard remapping options. I would LOVE to be able to remap the Cut key in the upper left to ESC, and the volume up/down keys to pgup/pgdn.
EDIT: I just noticed that in this thread: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1149232 the OP shows how to create your own keyboard mapping. So now in addition to complaining about the keyboard layout, I can also do something about it!

I have been searching for this thing all day. I found one at shop brando .com but unfortunately I cannot post links yet. It was selling for $59.00 but It doesn't state if it's for the 10.1 or 7. It looks like a seven though. I guess I'll keep googling.
Keeping my eye out for this too. But the thumb keyboard works great for on the go. Have keyboard dock for home. But this anywhere solution would have its advantages. The only downer is wifi + Bluetooth = battery drain. Where the keyboard dock can charge your tab while in use.
It will be interesting to see how it impacts battery on both the keyboard and tablet .

FYI, it's on Expansys' USA site now. Looks like it's available August 4:

Ouch! $133? I am hoping that is a gouge price, but fear it's a discounted street price. Lol. The Asus Transformer dock had a battery, 2 USB ports, and SD card slot... and a track pad. But I guess its profile was much thicker.
The Logitech BT Keyboard with case is $60 at Best Buy. This is over twice that and $50 more than the dock itself. Very much off the mark in pricing in my opinion, and I rarely question the pricing of accessories.
Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk
final retail price.
Sammy is overpricing every official accessory now.
I just think if we give it time, more will pop up and for better prices.
£97.99 = $160.91, so $134.99 is decently less.
djchad, what case would you use for your Galaxy if you went with the Logitech BT keyboard? It looks like the Logitech only has a case for the KB itself.
Right now, I am solely using the Leather Pouch from Samsung. It was $27 here locally. I use the Samsung keyboard dock at home and just have the media dock at work. I thought about the Samsung Notebook case. But they have been hard to come by. After thinking about it....this case/keyboard maybe worth it. When trying to take notes in a meeting .... I'm all thumbs even with the thumb keyboard. Lol
But for the money and 100% handheld use, the leather pouch is great.

I saw a video of this official case (same part #) the other day. The video continued to show the same setup for the Tab 8.9, it was just a slightly smaller version - but the same.

Doh! Well that will teach me
Weight : 1.22 lbs
It does seem to be out in South Korea, with a review here:
http://blog.naver.com/PostView.nhn?blogId=jyeonss&logNo=134414133&redirect=Dlog&widgetTypeCall=true
Hard to make sense of everything, but the scale clearly shows the Tab + bluetooth keyboard cover adding up to 1.12 kg, i.e., about 2.47 lbs. So, the Bluetooth keyboard case is about the same weight as the Tab itself(1.25 lbs). The total weight is almost the same as the 11 inch Macbook Air ...
Expansys has it for 133.99, which is less than the rumored 169.99, but still enough to make me think twice before buying it. I'd want to actually try out the keyboard and check the battery life before committing to it.
It's also available on Samsung's German Site:
http://www.samsung.de/de/Privatkund...ubehoer/bkc1b1d/BKC-1B1DEBGXEG/accdetail.aspx
I emailed them, and shipping to the US is 29 €
149 € + 29 € = 178 € = $253

And there's this:

Hi guys. I am really interested in buying one of these.

I was wondering if any of you guys own this? If anyone does would you mind giving me your opinion on this case?
There seem to be next to no reviews of this case out there whereas there are a lot of reviews about the zagg and Logitech cases. Unfortunately those brands oonly sell cases for ipad here in new zealand. Thanks
I own this and am quite happy with it. Looks good and the keyboard is a joy to type on.
Two things I'm not very happy about are weight (unavoidable, I guess) and, mostly, that there is no way to use it with the tab in portrait mode. Oh, and I think it is a tad too expensive.
I would have bought the Logitech, if only I could. For the portrait mode. But I don't at all regret having bought the Samsung.
You can see the thing in action on Youtube (mind you, in Italian). I was going to post the link but, as a new user, I can't. Search for "Tastiera originale Samsung per Galaxy Tab 8.9 e 10.1"

thanks for your reply mate, really appreciate it. yeh its a tad expensive isnt it, thats why I wanted some opinions before buying it. I never use my tablets in potrait mode, unless I am reading a comic which is very rare. the 10.1 just looks silly in potrait if you ask me lol
Also, I usually prefer to have it on my lap rather than on desks, does the stand sit stable on laps? because the stand kinda looks weak and unstable. I know it'll be fine on desks and tables but does it slide around when in your lap?
The stand is indeed very flimsy. OK for a table or desk, provided we don't push or pull the keyboard. As for a lap, I hadn't even considered it. Well, I just tried and... no. Absolutely not.
It is sort of possible to forget about the stand and leave the tablet flat. Requires one hand to hold it or it will hit the floor in no time. Not practical at all.
After I bought the Samsung case, I saw a Logitech look-alike on Amazon UK. I wouldn't really risk buying one now because: 1) I already own a very nice keyboard case, and 2) the only sellers offering it have appalingly low ratings. Still, if it works as advertised and one could find a reputable source...
Again, no links. But try searching for "Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard Aluminum Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab10.1"...

hey thanks for the link bro. I've owned similar cases for other tablets before and I really dont like the rubber keyboards on them.
oh and I went ahead and bought the samsung keyboard dock instead of the keyboard case. the dock is great. since it has got the 30 pin connector, the tab slots right in and you dont have to worry about it falling. and most importantly the dock sits stable on my lap and I can type just like a normal laptop. it doesnt move around. I really like it
omg that one is too expensive dude..
maybe you can check Apple bluetooth Keyboard.. quite good man. it's light, good materials and 100% compatible.
Logitech bluetooth keyboard is a very good choice aswell.
good luck bro.
I have the Zagg case and it is pretty great. I also have the Samsung white keyboard which is almost perfect except that it will revert to the Samsung on screen keyboard after using it . This is a pain since I use touchpal.
The new OEM keyboard case looks handsome but not as useful as Zagg.

Yes, it can. There's four little rubber stops that keep the keys off the screen when closed that double as feet when fold the keyboard under the way you described. And while yes, it's pricey, it's the slimmest, best fitting, and best made of the keyboard cases out there.
I purchased the official case cover a few days ago from Samsung. I am shocked about how few reviews there have been online. I could not find a decent video review. I am hoping that the build quality is decent, as my Zagg keyboard (Zaggfolio) broke - the space bar no longer works. I will probably take the replacement keyboard they sent me and sell it on ebay.
By the way, I saved 15% by using the coupon code: Samsung#1 on the Samsung.com website and got free next day air shipping.

Here is my review of the Samsung OEMKeyboard case.
Pro's
Very light, form fitting, well designed. Easy to type on.
Con's
No touchpad, no sd port, no built in battery, pretty expensive, cannot really use effectively in the portrait mode.
Overall, this is clearly superior to the Zaggfolio. .. but pales in comparison to the Asus Transformer keyboard (which is the same MSRP).

Just got this case today and I must say I am completely happy with this purchase.
It literally turns your tablet into a laptop.
Duqjag complains about not having a touch pad however the entire screen is a touch pad which would make a little square panel obsolete and difficult to use.
My only quarms with this keyboard is the left shift key being so small that you'll find yourself with a lot of \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ on your screen when trying to capitalize a letter.
Also if there were a way to make certain trigger keys customizable this would enhance the experence too. e.g. the mail button opens the mail app as opposed to the google mail app. Internet button opens the stock browser as opposed to Opera or dolphin.
It stands up on almost every surface without issue and if you fold the keyboard over it also acts as a bottom panel to keep the screen in a face up position.
Vertically it doesnt work but do laptops????
Fork out the cash I say and enjoy the ride. As tablets get better internally, 10.1 will still be a dimension samsung keeps using so i can confidentally say that this case will be transferable to newer models.
Hi,
I've got the Samsung BT-Keyboard-Case here in Germany for a really affordable price - 57,- €, and it is worth every cent. The look and feel of the case is noble, but durable, and when I carry it arround here at my college the I-Thing-users get possessive.
It has a built-in recharable battery which lasts for some 3 days. I use it flipped over as a night stand at my bed, listening to Tune-in radio, I work with it every day, and the cover protects the case perfectly.
The only con is that it doubles the weight of the pure tab, but I really can say that I am happy with it and would always buy it again.
I am looking for keyboard as well, want something nice, shineny neath, but inexpensive. (Not sure it does exist )
Are those aluminum bluetooth keyboard on ebay and amazon so useless? Any suggestion pls.
If i can not find any good review on those no brand keyboard i might have to buy logitech and it costs fortune

I've been looking for something similar to this for my Xoom FE. Do y'all think the slimmer form factor would work in this case? It's a pretty good deal.
I'm guessing it wouldn't work good. The specs on Motorola's site are below. If the length and width were the same, then I would say yes, but since they are not, I don't think it would fit good.
Xoom: (H x W x D)
249.1 x 167.8 x 12.9 mm
Xoom FE:
260 x 177 x 11.4 mm

The Xoom Keyboard Folio case is very snug...really just fits the original Xoom with no room to spare and anything smaller would fall out. It really is just for the original Xoom. It is great and an amazing bargain at $30.
Looks like I'll be going a different route. I'm thinking of just buying a slip cover and the Logitech keyboard with the little case/stand. Looks pretty neat and that seems to be the most effective way of getting what I want for my tablet that no one else seems to own.
I would love to have one, but they are not available (or much more expensive) in Germany
Just got the Verizon case in the mail today and that thing is damn near perfect. Haven't found a flaw yet. My USB adapters come out and go horizontal and the case provides plenty of space for it. Paired with the bluetooth mouse this is much more convenient then dragging around my big laptop
I also received the folio case today. Good quality for the price. Not sure about the keyboard though. Don't like the small shift key on the right side and the home key being just left of the enter key makes you exit to home screen every time you mistakenly hit it. I like the Motorola Bluetooth keyboard a bit better. Anyway, I'll give it a bit more time and maybe I can get use to the layout. The other thing, the case is pretty thick. I expected thickness with keyboard, but I think it could have been designed slightly thinner. The leather is layered and quite thick. The stand works well, but only 1 angle to choose from, which is a pretty steep angle.

I really think the thickness isn't too bad. Only thing I've noticed is the camera is kind of blocked unless you pull the stand down. Not a huge deal as I don't use it very often, but still is there. I do like the space between the bottom of the Xoom and the fold. Plenty of room for USB stuff

Folio case with KB
I have the Folio case with the Keyboard and love it. A lot of times I take my Xoom into meetings (where I used to take my laptop instead), and it does the job perfectly for a short while. I wouldn't want to write long letters on the small keyboard, but for meetings, etc...it's perfect.
anyone knows if there is something similar but with swedish keyboard?
I am wondering..is there anywhere I can buy a case which supports to put in a keyboard? Just like this for Ipad http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-20017554-1.html
I only want the case and then i'll put in a keyboard. Why am I asking for this? Because I want to buy an keyboard that supports swedish charachters, and obviously the american motorola xoom keyboard case do not have swedish charachters. I am thinking of buying Targus Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard.
I know I'm reviving a very old-dead thread here.
But anyone find a good case with keyboard, that has a working track pad?
I've looked online and I found two sellers with case/keyboard/trackpad BUT the track pad will not work on Xoom.
Thanks in advance if anyone ever reads this and/or respond.

That's just the regular BT keyboard with the extendable track pad.
I'm looking for the folio combo that's a case/keyboard/track pad all in one. Kind of like the Asus transformer has the dock. Except we can't dock so its just a folio case.
If nothing else, I will consider that one and fit it into a case.

The Zagg Flex keyboard is on sale for 50% off (free shipping in the US and reduced shipping cosrs elsewhere during the sale). I just received mine in today's post (only took 3 days for delivery via USPS). I tied it out after charging it up (reviewers are saying it only has to be charge once every couple of months). Even though I've only used it briefly, it beats my older BT keyboard hands down. It has a standard key layout and it's wide enough to be comfortable for touch typing. It's very light (brushed aluminim with black keys) and has a protective case that can dounle as a stand for your note. I like my note's case so I will use the keyboard's convertible case as a stand to hold hardcopy documents that I occasionally have to refer to while working on word documents. The keyboard has useful Android shortcut keys, including cut, paste, copy, back, home, search, play/navigate music tracks and control volume. All-in-all, I'm happy with this keyboard.

Thanks. Our note tablets seem to work with a wide variety of BT keyboards, which is good. My old BT keyboard works fine but doesn't have a standard layout, which induces typos. I was planning on buying a clone of the Apple keyboard and separate case that would have held it, but then I got an ad about the sale at Zagg. I wouldn't pay the full asking price, but at 50% off it was reasonable.
I couldnt believe it with my own eyes when i saw it right in front of me since ive only seen them on online, never locally.
Their manufactured by Tech n Go the same people who make those colorful usb cables, usb wall chargers and stylus's you may see when your @ front checkout near the exit. Here are some pics of the packaging and the keyboard.
I love how all the keys are nice and big. No buttons are too small or too hard to press. Every button has easy access. Easy typing and quick responses, absolutely no lag, like ive read on other bluetooth keyboard reviews that Ive considered buying online. I also love the media buttons located above the number keys in the functions location. Also the Del button can lock and unlock your device, and the dead battery indicator located right above the f11 key. Cool Stuff, Great buy. Hope You guys liked my topic.
I picked up the last one @ my local walgreens but hopefully there are more in stock at your store.

FWIW I bought a HYPE brand Bluetooth Keyboard for the same exact price $24.99 from, believe it or not, Bed Bath & Beyond. It is identical to the one you got! It works fine for me too.

I got one of the Walgreens keyboards and it was a waste. Felt flimsy and really cheap. Put batteries in and paired it with my Note 10.1 and began typing. Keys were nice but felt strange. The strangest part was when I typed e it typed er....er....er....er the I tried s....sd.....sd....sd, the left side of the keyboard was messed up. I took it back. If yours works more power to you.
I was in Target today and wallked through electronics and they had a GE mini bluetooth keyboard marked down $10.00 to $29.99 so I picked up one from them.
It works on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and RT. Mac OS10.6 or higher, Android 3.0+ and IO 5.0 and 6.0 and it even comes with batteries. I'm typing this with it now. I'll have to see how it hols up but I am very happy with it.
Trying to upload pictures but no go so far will try later.

bought one a while back, well worth the money.
Just want to share to all this Motorola BT keyboard I bought some time back. I think it's fabulous as it's one of the few keyboards with android buttons. (Home, search, back, menu keys)
