I flashed a lot of custom rom and I have an issue if I flash the following roms:
[ROM] 30/8/12 Cyanogen 9 RC1 [GSM]
[ROM][PrimoU/GSM] 3/9/12 CM10 B54 *Unofficial*
[ROM][PORT][03SEPT2012] PARANOID ANDROID [4.0.4][PrimoU-GSM][v0.7]
The automatic brightness control does'nt work. In best case the brightness increases in the accordant ambiance, but won't decrease in dark ambiance.
If I disable automatic brightnes and enable it again, the brightness adjusts one time accordant to the ambiance, after that it stay at the same level.
In stock-based roms I have no issue (SuPrimo 5.0, myonev RC5.0, HTC Stock 2.22.401.1).
Would have a CM9/CM10-based ROM without that issue.
Could somebody reproduce this issue on a CM9/CM10-ROM and give me feedback?
we are aware of this

Well, it seems to work on my device (CM9 RC0), but you have to check "allow light decrease" in the settings.
Don't know why this isn't on by default.

I tried all of these options, but without success.
Are you shure that it is working on your HTC One V (increase and decrease of the brightness in automatic mode)?
guys just letting you know, we have a thread for issues with CM9+CM10 both in general

Yes, it does work here with that setting on.

The lights that usually appear between the buttons on my Arc S no longer work and I can't remember when they stopped! I wonder if a mod I've installed is to blame but I don't want to wipe my phone and start from scratch if possible so am looking for some help...
I am running 4.0.2.A.0.42.
Here is what I have installed:
V6 SuperCharger
I thought this might be the culprit so I used Script Manager to stop running the script at boot, rebooted and it made no difference.
Reboot option in power menu
I am using the one from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1094730
Status bar widget mod
I am using the Ultra theme from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1295254
That's about it.
However, one thing is odd - I seem to have an 'Automatic brightness' setting in Display options and I'm pretty sure it wasn't there when I first got the phone!
Any help is welcome.

Found it - the reboot mod was to blame.
was there any other impact other than "they just didnt light up" ?
Nope - just no lights. Seems that a few of the reboot mods available in the apps forum have the same bug.
How did you get the option to turn off/on automatic brightness? I dont have that on my phone and have same firmware as yours.

It appeared when I installed the reboot mod - but it doesn't do anything so you're not missing out! I guess the reboot mod files must of originally come from an SE device that had working automatic brightness.
oh thats too bad
Hey guys, I can't figure how to make any use of this app...

Help needed
Hi, I found out that the audioOut_1 is causing high partial wakelock on my galaxy nexus, can I check if this is normal? I am currently using AOKP M4 rom, previously was using AOKP B23 but did not face this problem

Audioout_1 will go down significantly if you go to settings --> sound --> Touch Sounds and Screen lock sound [unchecked] for both. Please post a picture of kernel wake locks as well OP.

Thanks, by the way, is it normal for the awake time to be 40% more than that of the screen on time? let say my screen on time is about 3 hour which is 180mins, then usually my awake time is 252mins.
Hi,
I'd like to change the autobrightness values for each step. The current ones are a bit to dark for my taste. I am currently in AOKP and they are way better than the stock ones. Any app, kernel or idea how to tweak these settings ?
Thanks.
You can just decompile your frameworks, change each brightness step value, then compile and flash.
I am looking for a simpler way
If you're using Aokp rom, settings, display, custom backlight setting. Then check use custom, edit other levels. Left column for sensor level the brightness needs to change. Mid column is the screens actual brightness.

Is that an app ? What is it called?
Its the rom. Just about all the roms have this capability.
Yeah but aokp doesn't have this slider stuff for auto brightness, its more custom value entering stuff..

Would love to use something as simple as this...., where could i find this? Read a few posts above that it's in almost every rom. I am using skank mod of cm9. If it's not available can someone explain what means what in this photo to make screen brighter?

Lux Dash
Lux Dash in the Play Store works pretty well. It allows you to "link" custom brightness settings to ambient light levels.
I have been using it for a couple days now and am happy with the performance.
Well friends, this brings me something pissed and I just noticed that in environments with no light, when taking pictures with the flash in auto mode, these are blurred, as if use the beauty mode of the front camera xD or make a bad focus ...
This I noticed when comparing pictures with the flash in auto mode and the flash in Lantern mode as you can see the detail of the pictures with continuous flash is much higher than the auto mode ... NOTE: no matter which camera application use, the result is the same, I use the stock Sense 7 camera and also the of Google camera and even FV-5 ...
I Public this to know if I'm the only one, to rule out a problem with my phone and see if it is a matter of the rom I have 5.0.2 SD with sense 7

I would like to know how you are doing macro shots with no flash light environments, and if the same thing happens, I thank each of your comments.

There are known issues with the Sense 7 camera. HTC has recently pushed an update to the M9 to fix it.

Is there any way to forcefully enable 180° rotation (reverse portrait mode) in our device without using any extra apps? By editing build.prop or something similar?

I'm using RROS and have a direct option for this in the settings under "rotation control".
I think stock android has this feature and its availability depends on your ROM

There's an option in the RICE Tweaks to force enable the rotation in all ways, and I'm using it too. I think there isn't any way to do this with default stock ROM.

Hmm. But as far as I know, RICE tweaks are only for OnePlus devices right?
Please correct me if I'm wrong.(I'm still a noob ).
And maybe stock ones doesn't have this feature too..
