Google Wallet says it is not compatible with this phone? - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

I have a brand new T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Google Play Store says my phone is not compatible with the Google Wallet App? Is my phone broken/should I return it?

Your phone is not broken. Tmobile is blocking the google wallet app because they want to release their own wallet type app.

OH! Gotcha thank you. I was very confused, I just switch from Sprint and the G3 to T-mob and the G3 (Sprint had Google Wallet). I guess I will search out hacks to make it work (if any). THank you again!

Help: Market enabler for installing apps which say 'not supported in your country'

I've Galaxy nexus, and the market is updated to Play store (latest android market). I've Codename Android ICS version installed. Need help installing apps from Play store which say "Not supported in your country". I installed 'Market enabler', and pointed it to T-mobile US, Verizon US, but still no use. Can someone please help me with this?
Having the same issues here ..
You should probably email the app creator instead of asking here...
I was asking if there's any alternative for market enabler which works with Play store...plz suggest
theres no alternative to that just yet...
if you really just want to uninstall apps just do it thru settings > apps ot download titanium backup and uninstall them from there

Goto
Settings - apps - All - Google Play store
Clear casche and then force stop
Run market enabler to fake whatever provider you want then restart the play store.
Worked for me.

to purchase apps you need to have a Google wallet account registered somewhere that actually supports purchasing apps from the market.

Hi I have a question following what you said. I have a friend who wants to buy a app but he can't do it in his country. He said he found the .apk but somehow it still could not work. So I was thinking maybe he needs Market enabler. If he has it and I buy the app and give him the .apk file, could he then install the app?
Thanks

Google Wallet

I went on the play store and was looking at all Google apps and I saw wallet it let me install it (fully stock non root) but when I open the app it says device not supported. But could it be that t-mobile is finally going to support Google Wallet, maybe its because their releasing the Nexus 4. Hopefully and has anyone else try this?
Thanks

yes but i believe that way you have to root and flash the app and change the build.prop, i was just saying that im fully stocked non root and locked bootloader. when you go on the play store it shows up and lets you install but the app wont work. maybe t-mobile will finally let us use it after they release the nexus?? just a thought lol

possibly, it will require a update specifically for the Note II on Google Wallets end (seems unlikely) or an update to our phone since we have some missing files inside the phone required to get Wallet up and running.
and in any case, T-mobile is knee deep in ISIS. i can't imagine them simultaneously supporting Google Wallet on all their phones. The Nexus 4 is an exception to the rule, not what we can expect going forward.
And about your phone, did your previous phones have Google Wallet?

oh i guess i got my hopes up a bit, and yes they have but not stock i have the s3 but its running cm10 and the only one stock that had it was my old Galaxy Nexus, so i guess you can imagine how excited i got when i was able to install wallet on a fully stock phone, but oh well hopefully T-mobile will have a change of heart.

Google wallet

Hey everyone, I was wondering if Google wallet tap to pay works on the AT&T note 4?

Yes, it does work. I use it all the time.
Ok cool. Can you install it from Google play or does it have to be side loaded?
Play Store, I also use it a lot and it works fine.
Ok cool, I wasn't sure if it would be blocked because of softcard or anything.

Problem: S Note

After flashing CM14.1 for my device sm-p605, S Note is no more available and can not be installed from play store. Does anyone know a modded S Note application that is compatible with CM14.1, or any other way to re-install it, please?
With the Galaxy Store app, and probably a Samsung account, maybe. But i want to stay clear from Samsung stuff and their lousy support.
Edit: Nope. S Note IS in Playstore! But I checked this with my S5(6.0.1)

I know it is there, but it still not compatible with the device after the cm14.1 flash. Even when I downloaded it as an apk file then installed it, it didn't start and continued to stop whenever I start it.
Then it's for Touchwiz roms only...

S8+ Update broke phone.

After the update this morning my device is official in settings but in play store it's uncertified and Google play thinks I'm rooted....
Sort of the same issue. I downloaded Safetynet check and it says CTS Profile mismatch. Now I can't use Android Pay to charge my car.

Also showing a mismatch so they screwed something up.
Mismatch here as well, accidentally updated this morning. ?
On another note do you think this could be an exploit used for root ?

I had that problem this morning. Couldn't do anything about it. I had to exchange my phone.
Great. Mine shows mismatch, BUT, just used Samsung Pay about 15 minutes ago
Mine too
Guys before you start to exchange your phones, I have the same problem with my One Plus 3T, my Galaxy S7 edge, and the motorola Z play as well. The only phone that doesn't have that problem is the Motorola X pure edition.

But it's an issue if Android pay does not work. I don't use it as samsung pay works fine. It's just the fact that Google thinks our brand new phones are rooted/modified.
Perhaps some devious plan on Samsung's part to force owners to use Samsung Pay vs Android pay.
I never use Android pay because not enough places have the right terminals installed.

Yes I understand your point, but is not only with brand new Samsung phones it's also with the One plus 3T and Motorola Z play, I think is something wrong with Google Play services.

Was just on twitter with T-Mobile help discussing this and they indicate they are aware of the issue and have a team working on it --- we'll see. It must be something that the phone companies are doing wrong with their software updates. Yesterday I could add a card to Android Pay and today after the update I could not.

I just talked to them on Twitter and she said there is no issue and that I must have altered my phone.... like really you guys can see if I rooted my phone on ur end.
Everyone!!!! It's not an issue with the software from samsung... If you download the latest Google play services 11.0.33 the device will pass safetynet check, store will show certified and Android pay will work as expected!!! I did this and it worked for me on my S8+.

How can you update? I currently have version 10.2.98 installed and the play store does not reflect an update.
Well it seems like they are changing their stance on the issue. I reached out to T-Mobile via Twitter Support, last night, and they have informed me that they are aware of the issue and will fix in the next update. (Hoping soon)
Hey there! Thanks so much for reaching out about this and bringing it to our attention. We have noted this issue down and we are making adjustments for when our next update comes out from Samsung! I sincerely appreciate the feedback and it will be sent in the right direction to the right people! I have a link here: https://support.t-mobile.com/community/phones-tablets-devices/software-updates … that take you to our software updates page where you can see and watch our updates as they come to our network! Let me know what questions you have about this!
