I was wondering if anyone had been able to use the accuweather widget on nova or apex launcher. Was hoping someone has figured out a trick for it. Thanks in advance

Sweet, thanks. I was hoping for the stock one that comes on the s3 but this will do
Sorry to bring this up again. But I really like the one on the SIII and would like to use it on other launchers like Go Launcher. I've already tried one for the SII that amorek13 posted but that only shows the weather and not the time. If someone can extract the one for the S3 that would be great. I do own a S3.

But yhe thing is it doesbt show up stock weather widget

This widget needs Touchwiz Framework and Touchwiz Launcher to work. That's the reason why it doesn't work on any other launcher.
This is common among devices with proprietory uis

Sorry, but it does work on the SGS2 with Go Launcher. Are you sure we cant make it work on the SGS3?
Since you already use go launcher, why not try go weather ex from the market? I haven't used it myself, but it looks promising.

I know the feeling. Its a beautiful widget but it doesnt work on Go, Apex or Nova etc. I have tried. There may be a way but so far not broken.
Guys, I'm telling you I have it working on an S2. Here's the screen capture, you can see the widget above and the left-button Go Launcher menu at the bottom.
There's got to be a way to make it work on the S3.

What works on your s2 is irrelevant. Its most likely an updated version on your s3 with new code, probably specifically designed only to work with touchwiz. If it doesn't show up in go launcher then it doesn't work. Its as simple as that

That is old Accuweather widget, the new S3 version won't work with any others launcher at the moment.
Ok, so -for the moment- could someone post the S2 version of the widget apk? That would solve the problem, wouldn't it?

It depends. Did that widget work on other devices such as HTC? If yes, then yes. If no then maybe not.
Download a s2 touchwiz custom rom and extract the apk to find out

OP ask for S3 Accuweather widget not S2 Accuweather widget, both is different. S2 Accuweather widget is so ugly compare with this new S3 one.
I do hoping someone can make the S3 Accuweather working for launcher others than stock TouchWiz.
Fancy widgets is my preferred option even over beautiful widgets.
S3 widget is nicer, but I'd settle for the S2 one. For the moment.
Try "beautiful widgets" it's a highly customizable weather widget.
My favorite...
beautiful widget doesn,t have such beautiful accu weather,,, i am missing it on apex launcher, i hope someone will port

Ok, here's the S2 apk. It won't install on my S3. Bummer.
Try push it to system/app
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
I would need root for that, right?
---------- Post added at 09:43 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:37 AM ----------
It's already in system/app. How do I start it? If I tap the apk directly, it just tries to install itself.
Everyone who keeps naming all these launchers that are already known must not have seen the new widget on the s3. That widget is the sole purpose I'm keeping tw launcher for now, it's visually better than any other weather widget PERIOD. Praying someone modifies this to work on other launchers

Add the Calendar widget to this question as well. Only downfall of using a custom launcher as both of those are actually pretty nice widgets.
I'm looking for Accuweather apk also. I made this same thread in this same forum last week.
Accuweather widget looks great! I want this on my apex Launcher.

Touchwiz Calender Widget
Am really trying to get the Samsung Calender Widgets to work on APEX. And FYI, Nova sucks and crashes with themes, APEX has a lot more settings and is way better. Not sure where the widgets for the launchers are stored, im sure if we extracted the apk and placed it in the APEX launcher widgets it would recognize. Def a lot more difficult than it soundsd. Anybody have any progress on this
I would also like to use the calendar and weather widgets with other launchers

Accuweather apk
Can some get the apk for galaxy S3 accuweather widget.
I have looked and found many custom home screen launchers for JB, but none matching what I would like.
I am looking for a 5X5, no search bar and 1 home screen for JB. If someone could make this for me I would be thankful. Thanks in advance.

I know they both work, but tend to not be as fast as the stock launcher.

Just make sure in apex that the app drawer is not transparent and all lag goes away

If someone can direct me how to remove the search bar in the xml file ill do it. I still havent figured out how to do it successfully.
And i agree, the stock launcher in JB is much smoother/nicer than nova/apex

I've looked around and can't find it.
Is there a way to have the clock/weather widget from the Galaxy S 3 on our GNex's?
I like the images and cleanness from the widget and would love it on my current setup
thanks in advance, any help and or suggestions greatly appreciated

I'm looking for simply the clock/weather widget.
I use Nova Prime and don't want to change launchers or use all the functions and features I've got with Nova.
Is the widget dependent on touchwiz framework? Perhaps there is an independent .apk of the weather widget?
I am going to look for a themed UCCW widget.
Thanks for pointing that link out though

I was able to find this finally... I am downloading and will report back how it looks on the gnex

Edit: I couldn't get the background images to ever display correctly after importing the uzip.... everything was as it should have been. Shame, looked like a keeper.
The search continues!
