[Q] switch from superuser to cf-root - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

guys,
i have rooted my phone to SuperUser. while i have been searching the forums for all sorts of information for enabling call recording on my t999, i found one helpful post (thanks jjlean):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28535349&highlight=cf-root#post28535349
but it talks about having cf-root on your phone. being a noob, i did a lot of reading to realize that cf-root is a non-kernel rooting mod which comes with its own application SuperSU. (can some of you experts confirm that my understanding is correct/wrong?)
can anyone tell me how i could switch over from SuperUser to cf-root?
cheers!

Overcome v4.0

Hey all, mega n00b here
My story; I was running Froyo on my P1000 until last week, Kies told me there was an upgrade available to 2.3.3 GB which I undertook.
I took exception to the navigation button lights always on. I looked and searched all over for fixes and tried in vain to root my tab. I even installed a new Kernel that was supposed to be rooted - it installed but no root!? PLUS my WIFI was now f***ed and either would not connect or continuously dropped.
Anyway, the installed kernel had CWM Recovery in it.
I found another post that led me to the Overcome ROM & Kernel.
I installed the Kernel first and was shi**ing bricks when all that happened was the word "andriod" flashing on the screen!
After friggin about with CWM I found I could load the ROM from the external SD which I duly did and Voila a working Tab, and boy is it slick.
Now, I have two questions - any and all help greatly recieved:
1.) What is up with the website for the install guide and other files?
2.) What do I need to do to install a modem and which one is most suitable for my tab I am in UK on Vodafone.
Device Details:
Model Number: GT-P1000
F/W version: 2.3.3
Baseband version: P1000XXJPZ
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7 Overcome-v4.0.0 #40
Build number: Overcome 7 Series v4.0.0
IDK and no
OK
So, no modem needed? ...I've not tested the 3G data on the Tab yet.
I found the issue with the w/s...

EDIT: Tested 3G and all is perfect!

Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant Lagfix

I have searched online for hours looking for how to do a lag fix on my Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant.
Phone Details:
Model: SGH-T959
Firmware: 2.2
Baseband version T959UVKA6
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9
Build: FROYO.UVKA6
I tried using OCLF, update.zip, tegrak.
I already have superuser on it.
I also already rooted it with superoneclick.
Please help me find a lagfix because when i type and use other apps, it tends to lag.
First, flash to a Gingerbread release.

Need help rooting my Galaxy Tab 3 7.0

Hey Guys,
I am having trouble figuring out if it is possible to root my Tab 3 7.0 and install CyanogenMod.
I am familiar with rooting/installing rooms as I have my S3 rooted but I merely followed a well put together by some smart ass dude .... hehe
I cant seem to find any easy step by step guides here. If there are any can someone post them or give me some information on how to get this done. Thanks.
Tab Info:
Model Number: SM-T210R (Canadian)
Android Version: 4.1.2
Let me know if anyone could help.
Cheers
I used the Kingo Root App for my SM-T217S Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, and it worked to perfection. I don't see why it wouldn't work for yours as well. It is really simple to do as well, only takes about five minutes. Hope this helps.

@VancouverGreek
So you have rooted your S3, so I think you have expierence with Odin how to root and flash ROMs.
At the moment we have no CM ROMs, these are still under develepment.
Take a look to general threats , here you will find the first thread Videos, Guide for Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 by Tomsgt with all links.
Also you find a lot of threats for prerootet Stock Roms ore modifyed Stocktroms with deleted bloatware apps, so your Tab runs smooth without lags and stable, also I prefers to install the blackhawk kernel, with kernel is the Kernel panic mode fixed.
here are the links to tomsgt: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2459817

[Q] [Rooting-Help] GT-N7105

Hello there,
I'm new to this forum, also i'm totally new to 'rooting'.
I want to root my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7105, 4.3 jelly)
I've searched around the web for quite some time now. I've read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933542, but i still have a question about it.
My phone:
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 4G
Modelnummer: GT-7105
Android-version 4.3
Baseband-version N7105XXUEMK2
In the topic of Chainfire's post of the CF-Auto-Root says GT-7105 is suitable for the CF-Auto-Root. But i'm still unsure about the Baseband-version, does the baseband-version matter?, if not is my phone then suitable for the CF-Auto Root?
(Why am i unsure about the Baseband-version; well that is because if i search on the web "GT-N7105 how to root", i find many with different baseband-versions so thats why it made me make this thread, sorry if it was a totaly useless thread and if the answer was 100% clear. But i kinda wanted to be sure before i start following the steps of CF-Auto-Root)
Hope any of you can help me with that question.
Bump
I think baseband version doesn't matter, but CF-auto root won't work anyway as there's Knox and it will block the superuser app.
Best if You change kernel (with CWM) and flash some knox free ROM.

Dylanaw,
If it helps, I flashed my GT-7105 a number of times this week to overcome an issue with my email and a poxy security feature (in the loosest of terms). Whilst I have zero affinity to one ROM or another I have eventually settled on the OMNI 4.4 ROM that you will find on the front page of the GT-7105 development page. Why? Easy really, as it is the clearest ROM in terms of steps to take and what to do :good: especially for newbs. So, if you really want to install a custom ROM then this is a good one to start with! Regards the baseband question, on this ROM my machine is displaying a baseband-version of N7105XXUMJ9.
I hope this helps.

Thank you for your answers,
