There is this app I use (yasp) and the name is unappealing so I was wondering what I would have to modify to change the name.
Thanks

the app has to be decompiled using apktool. once decompiled go to res/values/strings and find the line that reads
"<string name="app_name">(app name here)</string>"

I've tried DPI 300
DPI 290
DPI 280
DPI 240
And I just keep getting a blank screen with everyone

How are you trying to change it? Via an app or a manual build.prop edit?

App, but tried build prop and it just gave me an error saying that it won't save

you need to use a root file explorer, and give it permission.

When you are on /system partition, click mount r/w then make changes, save and exit then reboot.

You do know that ParanoidAndroid rom has special DPI controls built in for per app settings etc?
Settings >> Paranoid Settings
Here you can set specific DPI/UI modes for each individual APP / System etc.
I think as these settings are driven from within the ROM the changes made by any other method will break the ROM.
Sorry i can't go into exact specifics i dont use the ROM anymore.
Hope this helps!
Cheers
Paul
I was wondering if it is possible to get the stock galaxy s3 keyboard on tasks aokp ROM ?

You can download the apk from the play store. If you wanted it native in the build just copy the apk to your system/app folders and set the permissions. Its either rw rw r or rw r r.

Just curious, what app in the play store are you referring to? I'm looking for the same thing, but I haven't been able to find it. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

Are you looking for the stock touchwiz keyboard? If so you would have to pull the apk file from that build and I stall it manually with a root explorer. Not to sure if that will work but anyway I just searched for jellybean keyboard.

I'm fairly certain the stock Samsung keyboard relies on the touchwiz framework and wouldn't work on aokp.
Could be wrong tho.

Don't know if you're using gmail or just email but this link shows how to change email to black
If Gmail, there are some nice Inverted 4.2.1 gmail apks out there... I've used Rujelus22 and DarkHorse Inverted gapps and themed apps... work perfect on Note2. Google search "Rujelus22 inverted gmail" or DarkHorse gmail 4.2.1.... then extract the gmail.apk, fix permissions, push to /system/app folder. Be sure to rename old apks in /data/app and or in /system/app folders prior to push (so you can revert bsck if you want to)

Using Root Explorer or something simlar navigate to:
System/Csc/features.xml
Open the file to edit. Scroll near the bottom to the EMAIL section and change the TRUE to FALSE
That should give you the overview. Backup the features xml to be safe.

Does anyone know where I can find the Note 2 TouchWiz Stock Folder Icon? The one that is like a lying down ring folder? I am rooted with Root Explorer and have been looking through all the folders but I can't seem to figure out where it is. I've also googled it and can't find any reference to it. I know if worse comes to worse I could always try to replicate it in Photoshop, but am hoping someone already knows where I can grab it off the stock ROM. TIA
You mean system/app?

Its in the res/drawable xhpi I think. Look for the icon its a .png image so you don't have to do anything.

I can't find that folder or any file name resembling that on my rooted device. I am searching through all folders from root folder.

Download, unrar, paste the apk files in system>app,
Paste the libdhwr.so and libtfapps.so from the lib folder to system>lib.
Obviously should be rooted for this to work.
Why did u need s memo when u got s note?? Its like redundancy...:what:
