Phone won't boot after encryption. Please help! - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Installed most recent CM10 nightly this morning and thought it would be a good idea to encrypt it. So, I went into settings>security>encrypt, and encrypted the phone. After rebooting, the phone would prompt for the password. After entering the password, the phone would bring me to the lock screen, I swipe in and a few moments later, I'd be greeted with the Cyanogenmod boot animation. After that, it would boot loop either at the animation, or I would get the lock screen again and, again, moments later, it would bring me back to the boot animation.
SO.
I decided to Odin back to stock. Everything went well and passed and was all ice cream and rainbows, I got the Sprint boot animation. But then, OHH then. Then I get the prompt to enter my password to decrypt again, so I enter it, get the green android gear encryption symbol, and it reboots. After getting the Sprint boot animation again, I am currently stuck at the Samsung animation bit right after that. It's been at that logo/animation for about 10 minutes now. So, I'm worried. Is there any other way to decrypt? I'm freaking out man. Please help.
Edit: Solved- After flashing back to stock in Odin, I went to stock recovery and wiped data and cache. Booted up allz normal now.

Strange issue, need a little help.

I was on my phone, checking XDA, reading news and so forth. I put the phone down to grab some dinner. When I got back after eating I picked up my phone and it was unresponsive.
I held down the power button for a while and nothing.
I did a battery pull and I was able to boot to the Google splash screen with the unlock symbol. Unfortunately it just hung there.
I pulled the battery again, this time I booted in fastboot, then recovery. The clockworkmod recovery main menu came up in recovery, but when trying to do a restore or anything… The blue menu would disappear and not come back. I can get to recovery, but I am unable to do anything with it.
Last night I flashed to AOKP B26 from AOKP B25. I wiped cache and dalvik. I did not do a full wipe, but according to the dev you do not need to. This morning I flashed Morphic’s kernel TNP138-RD-FUV. I used this kernel on B25 with no issues for several days as well. I wiped cache and dalvik before flashing the kernel as well. CPU was set to the default 1190 and default voltages, with the on demand governor.
It is weird that I didn’t have any issues until hours later and the phone wasn’t even in use. It is as if it wiped itself. I am wondering how and why.
At this point I am going to do a full factory ODIN restore. I don’t think there are any other options.
EDIT, as posted below:
I was getting ready to do the ODIN restore when for the heck of it I decided to let it boot normally one last time. What do I have to lose.
I booted to the Google splash screen and set it down. I got a drink and took out the trash. When I came back I noticed it was at the boot animation! It sat at the boot animation for another couple of minutes but 10 minutes after pressing the power button I was booted up.
I let it sit for another 10 before I played with it. But now its like nothing ever happened. And it boots regularly now. I even booted into recovery and it is functioning as normal.
Any ideas what happened?

In cwm is there a 'go back' option at the bottom? If not scroll up and down a few times passing from bottom to top (looping) until it says like back button activated. If back is not active power button makes screen go off and on and does not select.
This is if you are not using touch enabled cwm.

if you can get into cwm then try fastboot and flash the factory images from the boot screen

I am not using the touch enabled. I know that if you cycle through the menu too much it will disable the select button, but if you keep cycling it will enable it. This isn't that.
The screen is on, I can see the clockworkmod recovery & version in the middle of the screen. Just the ICS blue menu disappears completely. no go back or anything. just a black screen with the clockworkmod info in the middle. It is as if its thinking but it just hangs.
id suggest you try to use ADB from recovery to try and at least pull the sdcard files first of all
second id try to flash another recovery from fastboot then boot to recovery and flash a rom or restore backup
if the above doesnt work then factory image from fastboot is it

Stuck on Google Screen after JB Update

Hi,
I've attempted the JB update
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737899..
fastboot flash boot boot.img etc.. which said all was well..
But now find that my phone will not boot up, doesn't get past the Google and unlock screen.
I've tried all combinations of volume buttons, I can get to the fasboot menu where I can choose either Recovery Mode, Power Off, Start or Restart bootloader.
None of these appear to do anything, recovery goes to the google a screen followed by an Android on it's back with an exclamation mark over it.. then goes to the Google and unlocked icon screen and stays there...
I fear my phone is bricked... Please help..

1.) Your phone is far from bricked at all. You have access to the boot loader (i.e. the screen with the options). The recovery you're seeing is stock recovery. All you need to do is go into boot loader and fastboot flash recovername (CWM) and you will have your custom recovery back to wipe data and reinstall a rom or restore a nandroid backup
Mine is doing the same thing, weird thing is, it was working since yesterday on jellybean, it just randomly froze this morning and and now won't boot..
im currently at work so i don't have admin rights to do a fastboot flash..
any idea why it would randomly stop working when i havn't flashed anything on it besides the jb rom?
Sorted..
Thanks for the comments.. yeah i was over-reacting a bit there..
I downloaded the Galaxy Nexus Toolkit, got a stock rom form gopogle, flashed it.. back to normal, well, it will be after i restore the CWM backup i took.. phew..
Thanks again
Ian.
Still stuck
I'm also stuck in the same situation(google with the unlock screen). I fear I'm a little more stuck. I also can see the recovery/restartbootloader screen. However, everything I try still comes back to that same google screen and gets hung up. Need some help!
this has happened twice today and i think it from using volume+

Boot into recovery, wipe cache, Reboot

[Q] Stuck in first screen bootloader

So, I flashed yesterdays CM10.2 and had no problems, up until today. I was in class, using twitter, set the phone down, and looked back at it 5 minutes later to find it shut off. I restarted it, figured no big deal, it turned off again. I thought there was a problem with that nightly so I flashed back an older, more stable one(still 10.2). It booted up, and shut off again. Now, though, the phone boots up, shows Samsung, then shows the GS3 and CM logo, then just goes into a loop from there. I went to recovery and tried to wipe, which, oddly, the phone restarted again. Luckily I was able to get in and wipe data before a new reboot, but even that didn't fix it. I rebooted into recovery again, and it said something like "root access available" and asked me if I would like to use root, which I didn't get the chance to fully read because it restarted again. When I am able to successfully boot into recovery though, I get a warning saying "no file_contexts", this could be it?
I've already tried to flash back stock Touchwiz with Odin, but it keeps failing to do so. Any help with this?
EDIT: After successfully booting up a CM10.1 backup, I've begun to believe the power button is broke, because the power menu will randomly popup, followed by a shut down.
It's called SDS sudden death syndrome it's very common on the S3. It's a failure of the power button. It's a defect. If your phone is newer than a year old put it back to stock and take it to sprint.

random infinite bootloop.

Hello there
After my phone randomly rebooted while watching a video it ran into a bootloop.
I had been running LineageOS for the past couple of months and everything was fine up until yesterday.
I have tried restarting, and everything and only managed to reflash twrp via adb and force it to boot into twrp, but now it's stuck booting into that.
when I try to boot into lineage I only see the boot animation of lineage that never stops, and when I boot into twrp I see the boot screen of that, which never stops.
I've let the phone do its thing for so long that it has run out of power, so it's not something that just takes a long time. I feel like this thing is completely bricked now.
Anyone maybe got a solution? Any help would be appreciated.
Hi,
Think I might have the same issue, except I didn't flash or modify anything on the phone. I'm running all stock ROM and all the rest.
Stuck in a bootloop in recovery mode. Mini partition does not recognise the phone. Same with QPST. QComDloader does, but only for a few seconds, so whatever I try it's not fast enough before the next reboot...
Whats are the options? I don't want to have to send it back to China

IS my Nexus 5x dunzo? freezing/bootloop

My mother said her phone died on her and wouldn't turn back on (nexus 5x).
I got it to turn on, but it would get to the 4 dots and then freeze up. Booted into twrp, and the same thing, it would work for a while and then freeze. I tried formatting the partition, but once I typed "yes" it would then freeze a few seconds in and then reboot.
I put it in fastboot, formatted the partition, flashed the newest version of twrp, updated the vendor image, radio, and bootloader and was planning on just updating to lineage 15.1. For a while I couldnt even boot into recovery. I would select recovery, and the google logo would pop up and then I would just get a black screen. When I typed adb devices I got nothing back either.
I finally was able to boot into twrp, but same thing as before, it would work for a while and then freeze up.
I know these phones have a history for this ****, but I guess I thought I was lucky with this one.
Anything I can try before giving up?
My plan was to do as much as I could in fastboot because it seems everything is fine there. I need to completely wipe everything and get a fresh start. Is there an image I can flash in fastboot?
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Same here ... :/
