Uncheck Autoreboot in Odin. and once odin is completed just take your battery out and boot straight in recovery.
and then i go into recovery holding volume up, home and power right?

I initially flashed the CM10 JB stable ROM successfully. The only problem I had was that I was unable to transfer files via USB to my computer, so I tried using the toolkit to flash the stock rom, but when it was flashing I got an error message that my phone disconnected.
When I turn my phone on I can only get into download mode. If i just press the power button, I receive a black screen.
I have tried using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1771687 to flash the stock ROM using ODIN but the phone freezes at the Samsung logo screen after the T-Mobile "4G Android" screen.
Any help is truly appreciated

can you get into recovery mode? if you can, try installing a rom from an external micro sd card (that you know previously worked)

If you got this far, then you need to do a factory reset.

you cant. You need to boot into recovery. Trust me you can get in it, might take a few tries. Try to boot into recovery without the usb cable plugged in.With the phone completely off, and unplugged do the vol-up, home +power combo til it flashes that first screen, it can be a ***** but youll get in
Try turning the device off, remove the battery and leave it there for 60 secs. Make sure the phone is unplug from computer and the hit vol up, home, power until the phone vibrate then release. This should get the phone into the stock recovery.

I really do not think I will be able to get in. I have tried it so many times and even previously could only get into CWM recovery through the app on my phone to boot into recovery. I could never actually get in holding the vol-up+home+power.
Is it possible to flash CWM recovery through ODIN and download mode?
I'm not sure why this stock rom is freezing after I flash it through odin.

i would suggest trying a different cable and if ur gonna use odin again, wipe everything (especially /system!) in recovery before booting into download mode for the odin flash. would also reccomend tryin the legit stock rom in odin (unrooted) if its still freezing on you.
Flash with Odin again, then after it is successfully completed power down phone you have to hold vol up home and power until you see some blue text appear in the top left corner then factory reset from recovery

Yea getting into recovery is tricky if you don't hold the buttons long enough (let go too soon). These guys really gave you great advice.

If you couldn't get into CWM recovery before you screwed the rom then you just aren't doing it right.with phone off, hold up and home, then hold powered button for like 3 sec then let go of only power... but i think you are right the download mode skips the Samsung logo.the recovery puts up Samsung logo before booting recovery. Why can't you Odin a recovery partition ?

That they have, I took the battery out and let it sit for a little and tried it to get into recovery and it worked! I'm was able to boot up regularly after and I truly thank you all for the help because I was having a heart attack.
I have attempted to install CWM Recovery on the Samsung i747 (Bell Mobility). At first, I flashed the Recovery using Odin and could only access the stock recovery. I soon found out after searching the forums that the phone writes over the recovery on next boot with the stock recovery.
I then read that I should turn off auto-reboot in Odin and after installing the recovery, pull the battery and reboot directly into recovery. Upon doing this (holding volume up, home and power), I get a quick flash of the Samsung boot screen with the blue text at the top and then a blank screen for a few seconds, the phone vibrates and reboots normally. It seems like the recovery is corrupted and no matter how many times I re-flash the recovery in Odin, I can't boot into it.
Download mode works normally and the phone boots normally. I need to be able to fix the recovery, even if that means recovering the stock recovery.
Does anyone have any idea how I could do this?
Thanks!

Follow the proper directions for adb push of clockwork. Two methods easy as it gets. No need for odin past acquiring root.
Yes, rooted.

As soon as you see that Samsung logo with the blue at the top, let go of the power button but continue to hold the volume up plus the home button until it reaches the recovery screen. If u don't let off of the power button at that point it will boot normally.
I have an i337 GS4. Thing is, i was rooted, then i unrooted. and i just downloaded smart launcher via playstore. i restarted my phone, but got stuck on att logo. i took out the battery, and cleared cache right after. now it just shows the Galaxy s4 screen for literally half of a second, then shuts off immediately. cant boot safe mode, cant boot revovery. i can boot download mode, and then when i press cancel download mode, it boots the Galaxy S4 screen longer, but before the att logo should show, shuts off. What do i do?
Did you try checking in the GS4 forums?

yes, couldn't find anything that met my case, though.
I am not sure of S4, but on S3 I would recommend ODIN to stock since you can boot into download mode.
But before you do that, did you try rebooting to recovery. Try checking on S4 forums on how to reboot to recovery using power and home keys. If you are able to get into recovery, you should be able to set it right.

I am not sure of MF3. But, just to reconfirm, did you try using the volume, power and home button combinations and try to boot to recovery. If you tried this and can't get into recovery, I think the only option would be ODIN to stock.

I would agree download your stock rom from xda s4 forum and go into d/l mode and flash your stock image with Odin should solve your issues

Hello. I was trying to get Kitkat into my phone but my Rom Manager didn´t want to work. So i thought lets try to reset to factory setting. And ya. Then i got stuck on Samsung Logo. I can get into Download menu by pressing Vol Down-Home and power button. but i cant seem to get anything to work. The phone is rooted using Odin.
My phone is Samsung Galazy Note 2 GT-N7105
Anything that can work to get my phone atleast to work again is appreciated.
Regards, torkkel
If you can't get recovery then flash phils recovery tar version through odin and then flash what you want or restore a backup. If that doesn't work flash stock with odin and start again. Last resort try mskip toolkit from skipsoft.net

1)Was the firmware specific for your device?
2)pull the battery and put it back again do you see the phone booting up without pressing the power button?
If you can't get into recovery mode (power, home and vol up) then I'd try to re-flash the stock rom through kies- not sure what other options you have. Then you can re-root it.
Probably a dumb question but every search I do will only brings up the regular edge or the note 5.

Here is what you need to do:
1: setup odin in it's options so it will not reboot the phone
2: odin flash the twrp recovery TAR file using odin
3: when it's done flashing disconnect usb cable.
4: use the method I described to boot directly from the download screen into recovery.
5: in recovery you MUST flash @arter97;s v4.1 custom rooted kernel and supersu in recovery
6: after flashing the custom kernel POWER DOWN the phone.
7: after powerdown reboot into recovery mode, it will be twrp
unless you are doing something wrong. (users fault).
Don't allow the phone to boot or reboot.
The phone must go into recovery mode directly from the "downloading" odin mode screen.
When you are in the "downloading" screen you can also use the 4 finger option to get into
recovery mode.
Volume Up, Volume Down, Home Key and Power Button all at the same time (20 secs or so)
until you see recovery mode. Once you are in recovery use the power off option in it.
If you let the phone bootup by itself you will need to start all over again before you get root.
Doing all the above will root your phone.
Once you are in recovery use it's options to shut the phone down.
I'm confused I did steps 1 through 3 and then try to go into recovery mode with the 4 fingers and it goes into samsung recovery. Is that where I'm supposed to go or have I done something wrong? I know that it did the flash Odin says passed and phone shows knox tripped.

It's supposed to trip knox, that means the you have done a successful odin flash.
Yes when it gets into samsung recovery then you need to select the option to "power down".
After the phone is turned off then boot into recovery and you will have twrp.
Once in twrp flash the arter97 v4.1 kernel and flash supersu in the same twrp session.
No need to reboot into twrp twice.
Good luck!
I figured out how to get it working thanks for your help.

Never seen a 4.2
If you mean 4.3 its still in beta testing
So I would not recomend it unless you
want to be a beta tester.

Hi Misterjunky, Will this work on the T-mo latest OTA update (BOH6)? Thanks.
Yes, be sure you get the 4.1, 4.3 or the newer 5.0 version.
Any of those will work just fine.
Good luck!
