Armband - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Hey, I was wondering if anyone had some first-hand feedback in regards to armbands to use while running. I've seen some cheap ones on Amazon, I was wondering if anyone had more information on one they have/use/etc. THANKS!!!

I have this one here from Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007JWWKMI/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i01
Not too expensive and fits with my Qcell extended battery on.
Very comfortable and stays in place during running and biking.
Overall I like it.

Well i bought one at Best Buy the only thing that bother me was I sweat more on the area of the band. This made the rubber part stick to my arm

Leather Case that fits Evo w/ Extended Battery

I want to get a leather holster case for my Evo. I have the Sprint 2600mah extended battery, so it's of course extra thick. I compared it with a friend's Epic 4G and it seems to be similar in size (just a hair thicker). I was thinking about getting the Sprint leather Pouch for the Epic (http://www.amazon.com/Sprint-Samsung-Epic-Leather-Pouch/dp/B0041NF3PO), but wanted to know if anyone has tried it out or has a better suggestion? All I'm worried about is that it's good quality, good looking case and that my Evo will fit into.
Thanks!
Just go to your local mall and buy one from one of the booths. Just try em all till you find one that fits.

That's what I've been looking to do. I haven't tried the case at a local Sprint store/booth, but plan to try it out next time I'm near one. The problem is that there's only a few cases available at local stores, but online has a much wider variety to choose from. I was hoping there might be something maybe better looking and at a better price. Example: The case I linked in the original post was $15 on Amazon, but if I went to a local store to pick it up I'd pay $35.

Hey not sure where you live but in my area I have gone to Walgreens and they have a big bucket of cell phone cases which are 2 for $10. They are leather and I have like 4 different ones for my EVO. They also have a swivel belt clip
Well if you're feeling crafty and industrious you could always grab some supplies from your local leathercraft store and make one. I carried every phone I've owned up to and including my Touch Pro in a holster I made. To see what I mean you can visit THIS POST in Android Forums.
I really have no excuse for not making a case for my Hero and Evo too. To be a Pete who's frank, I think Sloth has something to do with it. I started using the Seidio Innocase and Clip Holster and found 'em satisfactory enough, but I do miss the protection and good looks of good old-fashion cowhide.
Ok, that does it! Where are my tools and hide?

That is the most beautiful case I've ever seen! I wish I was that skilled/talented to make something like that for my Evo. I LOVE the look of that case. Are you for hire?
I got this case from an amazon reseller. Fits well with this battery and it's really cheap. I'm going to buy a few more as backups.

Used my old no-namer from ebay that had for old ipone. works perfectly even with extended battery thanks to its expandible sides. Its an upright case with leather/metal clip. Cant stand sideways cases and despise plastic clips..just my opinion.
I can confirm the HTC EVO w/ the Sprint Extended battery fits PERFECTLY with the side leather case pouch that Verizon sells for the Droid X I got it from my local verizon store for 24.99. Case is well built, looks great. Only downside is that it says "Verizonwireless" on the case

Platnum Series vs. Otterbox?

Has anyone used this case before?
If I get one I'm considering saving 20$ off the cost of an otterbox in favor of that, plus not having to wait on shipping would be epic since my local best buy has one.
One other question does it have a screen protector built into the case? I know otterbox on the defender series has it built right into the case which imho is very nice.. It would be worth me paying another 20$ to not screw up putting a screen protector on.
*Edit*
Sorry was suppose to be in accessories section.. bleh >.<;

otterbox does not have built in screen protector, they removed it because it effected sensitivity or some crap. just bought an otterbox defender and I think it's worth the extra 20. IMO dropped it from a ladder today, no issues. however I know what you mean about applying screen protector, i ruined the one that came with the otterbox trying to put it on.
That is crap.. I mean, it works perfectly with my moms Iphone 4 and my step dads iphone 4..
Infact I've never heard of anyone having ANY problems with it..
Maybe it has to do with swype?
Or people just have to gripe about one of the major selling points of a device..
I know some people are good at putting on screen protectors but, I am not.. never have been.. I will end up wasting 20$ on a pack of screen protectors and none of them ever sticking properly...

I prefer the Platinum case over the otter box...The belt holder is very strong and secure..and the case offers a good amount of protection from everyday dents & dings.I've dropped mine a few times from waist hieght onto the screen side..and onto the edge..No issues..no damage..As to the screen protectors..the best one I have found is what you can buy at any AT&T store..I just asked the sales folks who is the best at installing them..and let them do it for me...
I had the defender when I owned a Sprint Hero..they are a great case too..but for my taste now... add way too much bulk to whatever phone it is on. They offer more protection than the Platinum case..but that comes with having to lug around all of the extra bulk from the case..If you need that level of protection...then get it..if you don't..go with the platinum..both are very good.

So I am taking it the case fits well with your screen protector then?

Yes...it fits extremely well and holds up well as well. This screen protector is thicker than the generic type you have to trim to fit.It does not hinder the case..nor does it inhibit the touch capability of the the screen. I think they sell them for a for $9.99...I get about 3-4 months heavy useage out of first 1 before I had at&t switched it last week

I put an otterbox impact series case on mine last week, came with a screen protector that went on flawlessly. So well in fact you can't even tell it's there and it's smudge proof. Bought it on Amazon for $10, noticed it's $12 now.
I am probably just gunna have the guy at at&t install one for me..
WIll either get a platnum series case from bestbuy..
Or order the seidio active one since I like it aesthetically.
you can get the defender @ the same price on Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/Otterbox-Sams...4WW6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1294424789&sr=8-3
as well as with other vendors:

Here was I would recommend....
Go to your Best Buy and ask if you can test it out on your phone. If you like the feel of it then get it. If not, I would recommend getting the OtterBox Commuter Case which I believe is sold at Best Buy as well.
if you want the commuter it can be had cheaper than the platinum.
http://www.amazon.com/Otterbox-Comm...TJFI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1294427693&sr=8-1
I have the seidio rugged holster and case. Great buy, and loads of protection. If you don't know(i didn't for a while) seidio is the company that makes the platinum case . The rugged combo is the platinum case under two extra layers of protection. Didn't see it in best buy, but it was on amazon for fifty bucks . Highly recommend it.

Anyone found a good arm strap for the TB?

I used to use an arm strap made for the iPhone with my Eris, and it fit ok... but the TB doesn't even come close to fitting in it.
Has anyone found one that fits the TB good, that's cheap? I got this iPhone one for $2.50 on Amazon. I'd like to find another cheap one.
I don't use a case on my TB, so it won't have to be big enough to accommodate that.
Probably nothing out for TB yet, but have you looked for EVO armbands? Should fit the same.
I found this today on Amazon.com for you.
http://www.amazon.com/Navitech-Neop...s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1300844980&sr=1-115
It fits a few phones including the ThunderBolt.
I've been looking for one of these. Thank you. You said the EVO is similarly shaped?
I bought the Tune Belt for my Fascinate and it fits the TBolt even better.
-doesn't move
-quality
Been on 2 runs w/ TBolt so far and it's been great.
I have a question for anyone who has used an arm strap. Do you find it to be annoying to wear, seeing that the Thunderbolt is so large and heavy? I was thinking of buying one, but I'm not sure if I would like to be running with something so big moving around like that.
arm band
i bought this one off ebay it fis perfect and works great.
ol i cant post links but yea i bought one offebay

I own the Platinum Series case from Best Buy. It is awesome.
Otterbox
I had 3 of the Candy shell cases for my iPhone, but after about 2 months each the cracked. WHile I had them they were great, but not that rugged.
I just got the Otterbox Commuter for mine and that thing is great, even the buttons are covered, and they are easier to press. Plus I can lay it down without worrying about the camera lens or the screen, it sticks out barely on both sides to protect.
One Of My Friends has a black one, you can barely tell its a case. Ill ask and try to hook you up.

The price of that case is the same price I got my bran-new Inspire 4G for.
I don't know if any of you are still looking for a case for the Inspire 4G (or DesireHD), but I have 10 hard shell black cases with a built-in kickstand. The cases are brand new and they also come with a screen protector.
If you're interested in getting one, please contact me at nkd4cl at g mail. I'd be willing to sell them for $15 + $3 shipping.
I just got a bunch more in, so I could drop the price. Hope this price point helps people out.
Depends on your budget and whatnot. OtterBox makes your phone indestructible for the most part (it's very resilient). If you just want a general case, I'd recommend just getting one off of eBay. That's what I did.
Case Mate Tough Case!!!! (ebay TPU not bad either)
to be honest, the TPU cases are pretty nice. not as much protection as other combo cases, but they sell at the mall for $20 and i got one on ebay for 69 cents after shipping. i had to wait a while as it came from china, but i was pretty impressed with the quality. it even keeps the camera from touching the table when i lay it down.
that said, i ultimately decided on the case mate tough case. it has a rubber inner layer and hard plastic outer layer, a nice ridge around the screen to keep it off the table, full port access, it actually makes the buttons easier to use, its fairly easy to get off and on if you need to but it CERTAINLY isnt going to come flying off if you drop it (i would know, from experience...lol)
my girlfriend has the speck candyshell for her iphone, and its nice, but its kind of hard to get the phone in and out. besides, i think the glossy finish will get scratched up quickly whereas the casemate will wear much better with its textured back.
OH and the casemate tough retails for $30 but i got it on ebay new for $15 definitely worth it! i got the tpu as a less bulky backup should i ever want a "sleeker" case or something happen to the tough one.
i looked at a lot of others, but they didnt seem to offer THAT much more protection when they cost 3x as much. this seemed like the best $ to protection for me since i did pay $50 for my inspire lol
My favorite cases hands down are Seidio cases. Fantastic quality, inexpensive, and they are very clean looking. I've used Seidio on my last 2 phones and will continue to use them on future phones that I own. I swear by them.
Sent from my Inc using Nil's Business Gingersense. Now that's Incredible.
You can attach a charm to any phone and most phone cases with an inexpensive little "O" ring device. You might be able to find one at a store that sells phone accessories or you can buy them online.
it looks good

FYI: Seidio Rugged = Best Buy Platinum

Most of you probably know this, but the 'Pt' branded cases at best buy are designed, manufactured, and exactly identical to Seidio's. After learning this I just went to best buy to pick one up, instead of waiting on shipping.
Gonna check other threads now, but thoughts on seidio rugged vs otterbox defender? They're both solid, loving my seidio (Pt).
Yeah, funny thing, i just bought one 3 days ago and loving it. I have that Pt defender case and it is I believe made by the same company that makes Seidio or made by Seidio and rebranded by Best Buy. Either way, I love the Defender case they have, seems very solid. So far the only issue I have with it is that it does tend to mess with my Zagg screen a little bit around the edges, but I think I can live with that.
I have them both and they're both awesome. I find the power button easier to push with the platinum case and catch myself using that one more often.

I just purchased one, the seidio that is. To those of you with it now, how easy is it to pocket?
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
The exoskeleton makes pocketing better, less rubber to slide around. It is a bit bulky, but doesn't really bother me. remember, the first layer is the 'surface' case, which I use on its own when I'm not at work or play, and is much less bulky.

I just got my Seidio Rugged case in. I am very impressed, would recommend for sure. I really like the screen protector too honestly. It has a nice feel to it and it fills the entire screen (not like the gimpy verizon protectors).
Unfortunately, the rebranded ones from Best Buy don't include a screen protector, I purchased a freaking ripoff of a $20 zagg protector with it.
I've had several of each of the Platinum cases and the Seidio cases. From what I've seen from each one, the quality of the Platinum case is actually better than the Seidio, the felt inside my Seidio cases is sometimes offset, but not on any of the Platinum cases. The rubberized finish on the outside is peeling off of every single one of my Seidio cases, but not the Platinums(which is why I don't use the Seidios anymore, they look awful).

Yeah, Zagg screens are a ripoff, BUT, they work great too. I tested one out, and sent in for warranty replacement and they do send you one pretty quick. Just the warranty on that is worth the price to me, anytime you get a bubble or scratch, you just get another one for a cheap price. I like that about them. For me, I just got that thunderbolt and now I am looking at switching to T-Mobile...that same screen protector should fit the evo 3d decently which is what I am looking to pick up.
